Klint Pleasant enjoyed a hall of fame career as a college coach. His teams at RCU never had a losing season. His coaching record of 328-116, included two USCAA national championships at the school.

Pleasant was named coach of the Warriors in 2011, taking over for his legendary coaching father, Garth, following his 38 years at the school.

Dr. Pleasant also served RCU as senior vice president and special assistant to the President.

He was inducted into the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) in the fall of 2025.

Enjoy the conversation as he reflects of his years in coaching and his new leadership role on the west side of the state.

During our conversation, he also tells the story behind the story of Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot's haunting ballad, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," which chronicles the ship's final voyage.

Steve Annear is CEO of the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson's and he is about to embark on the Kilimanjaro Challenge. He plans to climb to the summit Africa's highest peak to raise awareness and garner support for the new Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson's Wellness, which opens in Farmington Hills on October 6.
What's even more amazing than the trek itself, is that Annear will climb the mountain on crutches. He lost his left leg at age 11 due to a blood circulation problem but his physical limitations have not stopped him from meeting and exceeding challenges.
Learn more about Steve's story and Gibson's vision for the 30,000 foot facility that will serve the Parkinson's community in southeast Michigan and beyond.
The former Tiger great was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2015 and he battles the disease day by day by remaining physically active. Dan Kildee spent more than a decade in Congress representing Michigan districts eight and five, which included his hometown of Flint. First elected in November, 2012, Kildee, a democrat, elected not to seek an eighth term, retiring from Congress in January, 2025.
Upon leaving office, Kildee was named President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. He was also named the next Robert and Marjorie Griffin Endowed Chair in American Government at Central Michigan University, his alma mater.
During our wide ranging conversation we discuss his career in elective politics, the workings of Congress today compared to when he was first elected, growing up in Flint and this new chapter of his life, as he continues to serve his hometown and the greater Flint area.

Mark Montgomery was a 4-year starter at Michigan State under Jud Heathcote. Twice he returned to East Lansing to serve as an assistant coach under Tom Izzo. For a decade, he was also the head coach at Northern Illinois University.
Montgomery is in the middle of his first season at head coach at the University of Detroit Mercy, hoping to turn around a program that suffered through a 1-31 season in 2023-24.
