Tyler Lawrence is a producer out of San Francisco, California. He is a multi-instrumentalist who first picked up a guitar in the 5th grade and dreamt of rocking out on stage like classic rock legends Angus Young and Jimmy Page.

Although he's been creating music for years, he broke onto the music scene in 2019 after realizing the daily corporate life wasn't fulfilling his itch to create.In pursuit of his true passion, he began studying music once again and has since produced four tracks that have gained the attention of the indie music press and podcasts.

Tyler Lawrence is a banker by day and a DJ by night... just an everyday kid with some not so every day dreams. Tyler is an artist who loves to love and lets his passion push him forward, using his drive for creation as an escape from daily life.

Instead of the iTunes application, Apple has decided to curate three separate apps - Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple TV.
According to MixMag’s Devyn White: “Apple Music fails to incorporate XML file support, an organizational component, which originally made it simple for DJs to transfer data from iTunes to applications such as Rekordbox and Traktor.”
Without this file support, tracks won't automatically stay organized in set playlists when imported into these applications.
Serato and Traktor are already releasing beta versions of software to deal with this, no word yet from Rekordbox.

- They've partnered with a company called Energy Revolution. A not-for-profit organization that aims to tackle one of the largest portions of a festival’s carbon footprint – audience travel.
- They have a travel calculator on its website that works out much you would need to donate to renewable energy schemes to balance out your journey to and from a festival.

She discusses some noteworthy festival cancelations. Here's what she talked about:

1) Woodstock 50

Per Billboard: festival was cancelled due to concerns about the capacity of the festival, permit issues [festival reportedly did not obtain a mass gathering permit from the NY State Dept. of Health, per Rolling Stone, and site readiness.

You would imagine that for the most part, these 3 areas of concern could have been addressed before a lineup is announced. This was an example of operational issues that was smack in the center of the public eye given the stature of the Woodstock name.

2) Super Mega Ultra Giant MDBP Festival

Originally, Matty Roberts - the creator of the viral Area 51 group - teamed up with Connie West - the owner of the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel - to put on the controversial Alienstock festival
On Sept. 9th, Matty Roberts decided to break ties with Connie West and the Alienstock festival in order to move it to a “safe, clean, secure area in downtown Las Vegas”; he also said “We are not interested in, nor will we tolerate any involvement in a FYREFEST 2.0. Supposed to take place Sept 20-22.
It’s a town of only 100 people! No gas within 50 miles.
Locals say that people should NOT come and that residents will step up to protect their property if they do.
Apparently the organizers have NOT requested a permit to hold the event on federal public land - something that they would need should the festival expand beyond private property.
The organizers are purportedly putting together a lineup mostly of EDM artists. However, the town of Rachel warns that a ‘dubious group’ is taking control of the event.

About Coldwall

Serbian born and Canadian raised, Coldwall’s early interest for music was always apparent. The progressive and cinematic nature of his music can be traced back to the very beginning - learning how to play the piano by studying movie and video game soundtracks. He nurtured his passion throughout the years and started producing Electronic Music after hearing Avicii’s “Levels” while traveling in Australia.

His debut EP titled “Risen” came out in the summer of 2018. Showcasing a wide range of genres, each of the four tracks tells a different story, taking the listener on a moving journey. His mantra “Digital Sounds. Human Feelings.” has been at the forefront of his production style, treating EDM as a platform for expression and emotional therapy.

Recently his flips dubbed “Corruptions” have garnered a lot of attention on Soundcloud gaining recognition from G-house pioneers like Dr. Fresch and BIJOU. Gritty basslines and swelling chord progressions combine to offer his fresh perspective on modern classics.

His live performances aim to look past genres and instead bring audiences through an exploration of digital sounds and human feelings. With a brand new EP on the way, one thing is for certain, the Corruption is spreading...

About Gurf

Currently based in between Baltimore and Washington DC, Gurf is a unique producer/DJ that brings a refreshing twist to your average club night or festival lineup. By throwing down the ideal blend of wonky rhythms, trap bangers and his original, hip-hop influenced grooves, Gurf is guaranteed to light up the party.

Gurf's journey with music started at an early age, through practicing and studying jazz drums and symphonic percussion. Eventually, his passion for rhythm translated into hip-hop and electronic music production. Bio:

I spent the majority of my childhood in Australia and Singapore and grew up playing the electric organ as well as training in classical music + dance. My first exposure to house music was actually the Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi nightclubs in Singapore thanks to all the up and coming European DJs that would always pass through.

When I left Singapore I moved to New York for uni and started performing/producing music for a Latin/Caribbean/Middle-eastern dance team before eventually starting to DJ locally and finding my niche in Brooklyn's underground scene. Over the past few years I've played bigger NY nightclubs such as Webster Hall, Output, Schimanski to smaller warehouses in deep Brooklyn - supporting acts ranging from Walker and Royce to The Magician as well as Aluna George. Most recently I supported Tchami on his Ghosts tour at Analog, Steve Darko at HOY and soon will be playing BangOn's Elements Music Festivals over memorial day weekend.

I also just wrapped up my first original track called "she doesn't know," release date TBA on a big time label based out of the UK. My mix series Midnight Snack is a project that aims to amplify and showcase outstanding talent with a heavy focus on artists who are female/non-binary. Each feature includes a guestmix and a written interview to share a behind the scenes look into the artist's life. The name was inspired by many artists juggling various responsibilities and working late hours just to pursue a musical (or related) passion (just like me and many of us in this industry!)
