On the 10th of March I nervously went along to my first breathwork class with Michelle Baker. What followed was such a trip… and one of the most sacred experiences of my life. The active breathing mediation that she led us through brought me to a place of pure wholeness and oneness that is hard to describe, but that countless mystics and poets have put words to before me. The very next day, the World Health Organisation declared Covid 19 a pandemic. I don’t know how I would have navigated this year without Michelle and breathwork. I am so grateful for that divine timing. I am also so grateful that she joined me as a guest on Like a Prayer to talk about breathwork, being present within the body, what it means to come home, building community in Sweden and poetry. with Michelle Baker.
