A Legacy of Leadership

Today we are introducing our first official truly girl-led podcast episode, hosted by a Girl Scout herself!

Say hello to two very special guests today: Sarah and Anne! Sarah is a Girl Scout Senior from New Gloucester, and a member of our new Girl Scout media collective called the Media Squad. Anne is Sarah’s mother and happens to be one of her troop leaders as well, allowing the two to spend additional quality time together. Listen in as they discuss the value of a mother-daughter bond within an empowering organizing like the Girl Scouts, and the experiences they’ve been able to share thus far.

With a generational gap between the two, Sarah and Anne reflect upon the similarities and differences they have observed throughout their Girl Scout careers, and the differing perspectives they each hold. Both guests have experienced significant social and life skills growth thanks to the many events, programs, and activities they have taken part in within the organization and in this episode, they break down those benefits.

We are excited to take this new leap in a more girl-led, girl-empowered podcast format that truly lends the microphone to Girl Scouts, and we hope you’ll join us in listening!

Links to Check Out:

Girl Scouts of Maine Website

Link to Join Girl Scouts of Maine

Get Involved with Girl Scouts of Maine

Girl Scouts of Maine News Page

Contact Girl Scouts of Maine

Laura & Helen's Email

Laura's Email: lgenese@gsmaine.org

Helen's Email: hruhlin@gsmaine.org

Girl Scouts of Maine Social Media:

Girl Scouts of Maine LinkedIn

Girls Scouts of Maine Facebook

Girl Scouts of Maine Instagram - @girlscoutsofmaine

Girl Scouts

Donate to support Girl Scouts of Maine:

www.girlscoutsofmaine.org/support
