Episode Notes

I'm the Product Marketing Manager for .NET at Microsoft and on the Board of Directors of the .NET Foundation. I'm a long-time .NET community champion and have been in the software industry for over 20 years.

Tim Huckaby is an industry luminary focused on AI, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, AR/MR, Data Visualization, Edge computing & Emerging User Experiences. 

Mr. Huckaby has over 35 years of technology experience including serving on a server product team as a development lead on an architecture team at Microsoft. Mr. Huckaby worked on some famous and not so famous Microsoft Server products in the late nineties where, as a young man he learned how scalable enterprise software is built. Mr. Huckaby is a Microsoft Global RD, a Microsoft AI MVP and serves on many councils and boards like the Microsoft Application Development Partner Advisory. 

Having worked for or with Microsoft for over 25 years, Mr. Huckaby has been on stage with and done numerous keynote demos for many Microsoft executives including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer and many other Microsoft and other technology executives over a 20+ year speaking career. Mr. Huckaby has been awarded many times for the highest rated technical & industry presentations and keynotes for Microsoft and many other vertical (retail, hospitality, healthcare, etc.) & technology conferences like CES and events all around the world. Mr. Huckaby is consistently rated in the top 10% of all speakers at these events and is frequently the top-rated speaker. 

Mr. Huckaby is an accomplished writer having been published thousands of times including authoring 3 books, hundreds of magazine articles and hundreds of internet publications. Mr. Huckaby frequently works directly with the Technology Press and financial analyst community on technical messaging and industry comprehension. 

In 1999 Mr. Huckaby founded InterKnowlogy (IK). IK builds enterprise software for companies large and small all over the world. Mr. Huckaby serves as IK’s CEO and chief technical strategist. In 2011 Mr. Huckaby founded Actus Interactive Software which transformed into VSBLTY in 2015 and went public in 2019. Mr. Huckaby serves at VSBLTY’s CTO.

Chris Woodruff AKA Woody is the Team Leader for Developer Relations at Quicken Loans, the nation’s largest mortgage lender, which is based in Detroit, Michigan. Woody has over 25 years of experience when he started his career before the first .COM boom. He has spoken at many events across the globe, covering software development and architecture topics such as database development, APIs, and web development. He is a proven mentor that enjoys helping, educating, and supporting other developers to gain knowledge through his speaking, writing, and online content. When not working or spending time with his family, you can find Woody traveling down the Bourbon Trail finding new bottles to share with friends.

Rob Tiffany is Vice President and Head of IoT Strategy at Ericsson where he drives strategy and execution at the intersection of 5G, Edge computing and the Internet of Things. 

He joined Ericsson in 2018 from Enterprise IoT, where was he was Founder and CEO. There he created an Edge computing system powered by Digital Twins that targeted enterprises and industrials. As CTO and Global Product Manager at Hitachi, he received the Presidential “Product of the Year” award for designing the Lumada Industrial IoT platform that landed in Gartner’s “Visionary Quadrant.” Spending most of his career at Microsoft, Rob was the Global Technology Lead for IoT where he incubated the Azure IoT cloud platform and co-authored its reference architecture. Prior to Microsoft, Rob was the Co-Founder of NetPerceptor where he developed one of the industry’s earliest Mobile Device Management (MDM/EMM) platforms for smartphones. 

A bestselling author and frequent keynote speaker, Rob serves on the boards of SmartCitiesWorld, the Washington State IoT Council, Kapios Health, and Elevate our Kids. He’s the Executive Director of the Moab Foundation focused on global sustainability and is routinely ranked as one of the top IoT experts and influencers in the world by Inc Magazine, Onalytica and others.
