In addition, Nick divulges everything he is allowed to involving what it's like on tour, other projects such as Way Out and Mythless, as well as insights into recording the past couple albums. The boys surprise Nick with a couple of games, some with more success than others, all of which are a blast to play along with at home.

Juan fixed two different BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble pedals in the same week and asked Trevor to bring up his for a shoot out this episode. Upon further review, each one was different: Guitarcaster shoots out an original versus two differently modded units done by Analogman.

Technical issues and scheduling conflicts threw a monkey wrench in the scheduled Guitarcaster topic, so Trevor and Juan decided toon a long form interview with Jake about how he started his company Steamboat Amps. This episode has been a long time coming. Located in Houston, Texas, Jake has thrown his entire existence into the company since he was legal to walk into a bar. Now with nearly 15 years under his belt, Steamboat Amps is the premiere boutique amp builder in Texas.

This is an excellent episode for those looking to get into building effects or amplifiers. Jake walks us through his child hood, where he learned to love guitar, his first apprenticeship, all the way to the various models he has to offer today. In addition, Jake has been putting out a different prototype nearly every month and the boys dive into that towards the end.

Hit up Steamboat Amps for a custom build or simply a repair on your beloved tube amp. They can also set you up with modifications on pedals and effects.

Trevor, Cool Josh, and Captain Jake come together this week to discuss the guitars of the Astro Man himself, David Bowie. This episode, covering his first twelve most important guitars, features 12 strings galore. From way before he ever broke out big, to the Dan Armstrong 341 he triumphantly poses with on the Sound + Vision compilation.
A rock n roll mystery is debunked by Trevor's endless research, Josh floats even more mysteries concerning who wrote what on Nirvana songs, and Jake is there to clarify (or muddy up) everything between them. The boys briefly venture into the gear used by David Bowie's guitarists, saving much of it for next episode - The part 2 return of The Guitars of David Bowie!

Shoot Juan an email to JuanM@SteamboatAmpworks.com and have him mod a pedal for you. Jake's company, Steamboat Amplifiers, has been debuting new amps like its going out of style. Come play one of them at the Steamboat brick and mortar store, located in Houston, Texas.

In addition to all of this excitement, this episode marks the continuation of our latest giveaway. Anyone from the lower 48 states may email us this episode's password at guitarcasterpodcast@gmail.com to enter the drawing for a DOD Bone Shaker distortion. The winner shall be announced on Episode 22 - The Guitars of David Bowie pt. 2.

This episode is a second attempt at a really interesting subject- The origins of Rickenbacker International Corporation, or RIC. Per usual, no stone was left unturned. So the boys dive into Beatle-Mania, the kitschy stuff that rickenbacker built, as well as the modern day masterpieces the are creating today.
