Bonus - Adam Hyndman & Bradley Gibson (Part 1)

Episode 3 features actors and activists, Adam Hyndman & Bradley Gibson! Our conversation was truly the most connective and honest conversation I have ever had with people in the industry. We talked through our formative theater lovin’ years, our personal and unique college experiences, the dream come true performance moments and the heartache and let downs on and off the Broadway stage.

Adam Hyndman is a Princeton University grad who majored in Cultural Anthropology and minored in theater and dance. Adam made his Broadway Debut in Aladdin and then went on to appear in the revival of Once On This Island! In the midst of his upward trajectory, Adam was faced with a harrowing injury. Through his injury and recovery, he only grew stronger and more grounded in his passion about creating possibilities for people to connect and activate their purpose; on a direct level through personalized wellness coaching (pulling from experiences as a nutrition coach, life coach, and crisis counselor), and on an amplified level through supporting arts projects dramaturgically and collaborating in producing teams for theatrical productions.
A Broad's Way 1st Guest: Broadway's Lisa Gajda!

Lisa has appeared in 18....I REPEAT 18...Broadway shows over her many decades as a dancer. She made her Broadway debut in Tommy and went onto join the casts of Movin' Out, Fosse, Spamalot, Pal Joey, Elf, Chaplin, Tuck Everlasting, and SO. MUCH. MORE.

During her early career, she lived and worked out in LA but after a couple years on the west coast, she quickly discovered that New York was the place she'd forever dream of calling home. She dove head first into her training at Steps on Broadway where she spent morning, noon, and night dancing and learning everything she needed to become the success she is. Aside from her dancing, much of her success needs to be credited to her incredible ability to bring her sense of self into every job she has had. Casey Nicholaw refers to Lisa Gajda as his "muse" and anybody who knows her, knows her not only as a pillar in the Broadway community but also for her quick wit, honesty, and hard work. Beyond her unprecedented amount of Broadway credits, she is one of the most honest and charismatic human beings I’ve ever been lucky enough to work with. Lisa brings her strong and unapologetic self to every project she does and our interview truly left no stone unturned.

Now retired after 30 years in the business, Lisa just received her Bachelors Degree with the LEAP program at St. Mary’s College and will begin her masters in Marriage and Family therapy at Mercy College in September 2019.

We talked through falling in love with dance, navigating unemployment, finding her place in the theater industry, how social media is effecting performers, and her new career change.

This is Lisa Gajda.
