BRAN'S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR SYNOPSIS

It’s 1991 and Bucky Barnes is out here being brainwashed and doing bad stuff, snagging some super solder serum. 

Cut to the present and the Avengers are doing an Avengers thing in Lagos. You know the avengers: Captain America , black widow , falcon, and Wanda. The classics. It does not go well. 

After another bad mission,  The UN comes in and says they want to put the Avengers under government control with something called the Sokovia Accords.. Tony who shows up to this meeting, feeling guilty about creating Ultron, is like “yeah maybe we should have supervision.” Steve, meanwhile, is like “I actually trust myself more than literally any government on earth.” Uh oh, I smell a civil war! 

We see a guy named Zemo kill Bucky’s old Hydra handler and steal the magic words book that turns Bucky into a murder robot. 

Meanwhile, at the big UN meeting, a bomb goes off and kills the king of Wakanda. Security footage makes it look like Bucky did it. The kings son, T’Challa, is very much on the case. 

Steve decides he’s gonna go get Bucky himself despite the fact that he could get arrested in the process. He and Sam track him down and try to talk to him, where things immediately turn into a whole mess. T’Challa shows up to kill Bucky, and it leads to a massive chase which ends in everyone getting arrested because you can’t just do whatever you want anymore. 

They bring in a psychiatrist to evaluate Bucky but it’s actually Zemo. Bucky goes nuts but Zemo escapes. 

Steve is able to save Bucky from the water and  Bucky comes back to himself. He explains that Zemo framed him and is heading to Siberia, where Hydra supposedly has a bunch more Winter Soldiers ready to rock n roll. 

Tony & Natasha decide they need to form a little group to stop Steve & Bucky, including newbies Black Panther and Tony’s new pet project, Spider-Man. 

Steve knows he’s gonna need help of his own, so he a crew consisting of some other avengers + ant man. 

So naturally, everyone meets at an airport in Germany. Big fight, big fun. Things stop being fun and Natasha helps Steve and Bucky escape. the rest of Steve’s crew gets tossed into underwater super prison jail 

Tony eventually realizes Bucky was framed and finds Steve and Bucky in Siberia to call a temporary truce. But then Zemo reveals the footage from 1991 showing that Bucky murdered Tony’s parents . And Steve knew. Ohhhhhhh SNAP. 

Tony takes that information about as well as you’d expect. Tony fights Steve and Bucky, Bucky loses his robot arm, Steve fights Tony hard an departs with Bucky, leaving his shield behind, and Zemo is like mission accomplished. But then T’Challa shows up and arrests him. 

Steve then breaks everyone out of the underwater prison,  and Bucky heads to Wakanda to be frozen until someone can deprogram his murder brain.

BRAN'S HOLIDAYS WITH THE TWINS SYNOPSIS

We open on a couple sitting on a bench. The guy, Miles, is telling his girlfriend Gemma that lately things have felt different between them — in a good way. He says he feels this whole new connection and decides to propose.

There’s just one problem: she tells him she’s not actually Gemma.

He’s like, “You could’ve just said no. You didn’t have to lie.” Brutal.

Cut back three days.

Gemma is hanging out with her mom, who tells her she’s Airbnb-ing out their flat to some very posh guests. Gemma helps get everything ready, but after forgetting her phone inside, she heads back in… and is stunned to find the guest is basically her.

Not her exactly — but her long-lost twin.

Enter Princess Corinthia.

Apparently, their mom once had a fling with a royal, and now we’ve got ourselves a surprise princess twin situation. Naturally, the only logical response is to swap lives. Hilarity ensues.

Gemma, pretending to be Corinthia, immediately starts enjoying the royal perks — including drinking a whole lot.

Meanwhile, Corinthia, pretending to be Gemma, sits down at the piano and starts being all elegant and mysterious, which of course makes Miles fall even harder for her.

Back on the royal side, Gemma-as-Corinthia starts spending more time with Corinthia’s personal assistant, Connie. Sparks fly, slow dancing happens, and eventually…they kiss.

Then the BIG twist drops: Gemma’s mom actually stole a baby from the royal family years ago.

So now the twins have a plan. They reunite, expose the truth, and set things in motion to get their mom arrested. They also tell the royal family everything.

And while they’re at it, Gemma comes clean to Connie so they can actually be together, and Corinthia tells Miles the truth so they can be together too.

And just like that, everybody gets their correct romance.

Rebecca is helping Sarah out with a boo boo, but no worries...she's got all the natural remedies. They're working hard on the boarding house and Sarah is insistent that Rebecca not sell her ring. She promises she won't because she's making piesssss.

The prospectors are moving to a different stream to keep looking for gold which makes Tom happy.

Clayton goes to the trading post to talk to Olivia. Hattie is like you should really organize your shopping list so you don't have to come here all the time. He's like...I don't mind, winky face.

On his way out, Alexander pulls back into town. He asks Clayton if he is good at drawing, he says no but Olivia is. He walks in and Olivia is pumpeddd to see him.

Rebecca is teaching Peggy how to read but she's busy thinking about a new business idea - cook the prospectors some hearty meals. Sarah wants to help but she tells her to stay put which makes her sad. She misses doing everything with her mom.

Hattie is talking to Olivia and she's worried that she hasn't seen Phoebe Taylor in a while. She wants to go pay her a visit.

Tom gets to work and none of his work hands are there. He finds out that they're down at the stream looking for gold. Tom is not thrilled.

Hattie gets out there to check on Phoebe and she's like I'm fine. Scram.

Rebecca bumps into Tom and she encourages him to talk to his workers again, but this time listen to what they have to say.

Rebecca is working on her first meal - it's gumbo time baby. Sarah is all mopey and she tells her mom how she's feeling. No one is buying the gumbo, so Rebecca and Sarah make up by passing out samples for free. It's a big hit.

Tom comes to talk to his boys again and tells them he'll give them a day off each week to search for gold.

A big storm comes and knocks down their mess tent. Luckily, Phoebe Taylor comes to help.

The episode ends with Alexander looking at the drawings Olivia did including one of Rebecca. He now has her picture.

We're at Luke's and Rory is very tiredddd. To cheer her up, they play 1, 2, 3 He's Yours. You know the rules, you love it. Lorelai passes on the first 2 guys, so she's stuck with the 3rd guy...who is Kirk. Big laugh. Funny funny. Rory agrees to play and Dean walks by first, so now she's just sad.

Later in the day, Max calls Lorelai. He says we've been having phone convos for a couple weeks, let's do the next call in person on a date. She agrees.

Rory is hanging out with Lane, actively avoiding Dean. But things are about to get real weird when Lane and Dean have to meet up to work on a school project together.

Lorelai sees Luke walking out of the cat store. She gives him a hard time when she finds out that he's planning on giving Rachel a cat pot holder for Rachel's birthday. She says let me go shopping for you and get her something she'll actually like.

She brings him all the stuff but also surprises him with a bunch of clothes for him to wear. He's not thrilled.

At school, Max pulls Rory aside to talk about how he's gonna go on a date with her mom. That's how she found out. And she is not thrilled. NO ONE IS THRILLED!

She's helping Luke with his new clothes when Rachel walks in. And it's awkward.

When Rory gets back to Stars Hollow, she blows up at her mom. Lorelai says we'll talk more about it when we get home, but when she gets home, Rory is nowhere to be found.

We find out that Rory went to EMILY AND RICHARD'S, literally the meanest thing she could possibly do to her mom.

Lorelai gets home and is freaking out. Can't find Rory anywhere. She gets a call from her mom and finds out where Rory is. Emily encourages her not to come.

Max is there and he finds out that all of this is because he talked to her about them before Lorelai did but then he's like wait why didn't you tell her and that turns into a whole thing.

Lorelai thinks all of this has to do with how hard of a time she's having since the break up, so she goes to tell Dean off and that's when she finds out they broke up because she didn't say I love you back.

Armed with that info, she goes to talk to Rory and tell her that she doesn't want her to be afraid of commitment just because she is.

They head home and she calls Max and tells him that she's gonna tell everyone she knows that she's with Max Medina.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Max is in the apple cider business and business is booming. He's considering expanding even though his dad says it's a bad idea. The big news in town though is that the book store is up for sale.

We meet Elise. She kills plants. Her temp contract is expiring but her boss wants to bring her on permanently. But that's not her passion. She's an aspiring author. But she accepts the position anyway. She just needs a few weeks to finalize the sale of her grandma's book store.

When she gets to the shore, she's shocked to find that the only worker is a teen named Molly and a neighborhood cat.

She goes around town, drinking some cider, and ends up spilling all of it on Max. They clearly know each other. But she can't stick around long. She has to get ready for the Blooms and Books event her grandma threw every year. Except, she knows nothing about blooms. Max offers to help. But he wants her to help him write his story. She's reluctant to say yes because she's never written anything successful. But she ends up saying yes which leads to them hanging out, sparks begin to fly, they play on a tire swing. All normal adult stuff.

As they get closer, he tells her that he wants to read her manuscript she had been working on.

Bad news tho - the folks that want to buy the book store want to gut it and build condos. Elise is not thrilled and asks the real estate agent to ask them to reconsider.

Elise is making cider with Max and he pitches her staying in town to run the store and write and be with him. He doesn't understand why she'd wanna leave. It's a whole thing.

Bad news - a storm is coming. This could mess up everything. It wipes out all of Max's apple blossoms. This could mean no festival. No cider. No nothing. She encourages him to use his emergency apples that his dad set aside and he finally agrees to let him do what he wants with the business.

She ends up deciding to stay and live her dream and they kiss.

One year later, her book is published and they're a happy couple.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Back in 1989, Hank Pym is working with S.H.I.E.L.D. until he finds out they’re trying to copy his shrinking technology, and he’s like, “Absolutely not, y’all are way too shady for tiny science.” So he quits and decides nobody gets the shrink suit on his watch.

Fast forward to the present and Hank’s life is not going great. His daughter Hope is mad at him, his former protégé Darren Cross has basically stolen his company, and Cross is this close to making his own terrifying murder-shrinking suit called Yellowjacket. Hank sees this and is like, “Cool, this is really bad” and does not sign off on it but Darren doesn't care.

Meanwhile, we meet Scott Lang, a lovable ex-con whose main personality trait is that he’s trying really hard. He gets out of prison, moves in with his buddy Luis, and wants to be a good dad to his daughter Cassie. Unfortunately, society has decided once you’ve gone to jail you’re only allowed to work at Baskin-Robbins for like six minutes before getting fired. He tries to visit Cassie, but his ex Maggie and her cop fiancé Paxton are like, “Maybe pay child support before doing surprise pop-ins, my guy.”

So naturally, Scott does what any struggling dad trying to get his life together would do: he agrees to do one more burglary.

His buddy Luis tells him about this rich old dude’s house with a big safe, so Scott breaks in, cracks the safe, and finds… a weird leather motorcycle suit. Not cash. Not jewels. He takes it home, puts it on, and immediately shrinks down to bug-size and nearly dies in a bathtub and getting stomped on at a party, all while some voice talks to him in his mask.

Terrified, Scott decides to return the suit, but on his way out he gets arrested. cuz thief. But surprise! The whole thing was a setup by Hank Pym, who wanted to see if Scott had the skills to become the new Ant-Man. He tells Scott that if he wants to help and also get out of the jail, to put back on the suit. It works and he shrinks again and sneaks out..

Hank recruits Scott to help steal the Yellowjacket tech before Darren Cross can sell it to evil people, which, spoiler alert, he absolutely plans to do. So now Scott enters the classic superhero training montage portion of the movie where he learns hand-to-hand combat, how to use the suit, and most importantly, how to command ants like some kind of tiny bug king.

Hope, meanwhile, is clearly way more qualified for all of this and would obviously be better at the job, but Hank refuses to let her do it because he’s still deeply traumatized over what happened to her mother Janet. We learn Janet was the original Wasp and got lost in the Quantum Realm years ago while stopping a missile, which is both sad and also the most comic-book sentence imaginable.

To prep for the big heist, Scott needs a special device, which means he has to sneak into Avengers headquarters. This leads to a random but delightful side quest where he fights Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, and somehow wins mostly by being annoying and tiny. It’s one of those MCU moments where the movie just casually reminds you, “Oh right, this all technically connects.”

Then it’s time for the big finale. Darren Cross unveils the Yellowjacket at Pym Technologies during a fancy event, and Scott and the crew break in to stop the sale. Luis and the gang somehow become essential parts of the mission despite being, at best, wildly underqualified. Scott sneaks in with a whole army of ants, plants explosives, and tries to steal the suit.

But Cross is ready for them because of course he is, and he captures Scott, Hank, and Hope. He reveals he’s planning to sell the tech to Hydra, because if there’s one thing Hydra loves, it’s tiny fascism. Things go sideways fast, but Scott and Hope fight back, the building starts collapsing, and Hank gets shot because apparently old men in Marvel are legally required to get wounded in the third act.

Scott chases Cross, who puts on the Yellowjacket suit and becomes a full-on flying nightmare. Their final battle somehow goes from high-tech corporate warfare to a fight in Cassie’s bedroom, which is honestly one of the best visual gags in the whole movie. Trains are crashing, Thomas the Tank Engine is involved, and to Cassie it probably just looks like two dads having a nervous breakdown.

When Cross takes Cassie hostage, Scott has no choice but to do the one thing Hank warned him never to do: override the regulator and shrink beyond human comprehension into the Quantum Realm. Which sounds fake, but in this movie is very real and extremely stressful. Scott manages to sabotage Yellowjacket from the inside, Cross gets absolutely obliterated, and somehow Scott finds his way back from the Quantum Realm because apparently he’s just built different.

After saving literally everyone, Scott finally gets a win. Paxton decides maybe this guy isn’t so bad after all and helps keep him out of prison. Hank realizes that if Scott could survive the Quantum Realm, maybe Janet could still be alive. Hope gets teased with her own Wasp suit, which everyone in the audience immediately wanted to see instead, and Luis pops back in at the end to say Falcon is looking for Scott because once you do one weird tiny mission, suddenly the Avengers are texting.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

We meet this boy who is in an assisted living waiting room and he keeps being creeped out by these random people. The kid goes back to see his grandpa who talks to him about Santa, but he starts coughing like crazy. He goes to get his grandpa some water but it's too late. Grandpa coughs up just an insane amount of blood. Bad news - grandpa is dead. They get on the road and, while at a stop light, a car comes behind them and just slowly taps them. The dad gets out to check and is shot by a Santa Claus. Santa shoots towards the mom. She's able to kick him in the neck with her heel but he gets one last shot in before they both die. The boy, Billy, is there to watch it all.

Years later, Billy is now an adult. He wakes up in a hotel room and we see a dead body in the bathtub. He takes some of the blood from that body and puts it in this weird bloody advent calendar he keeps.

Billy hears this voice that's kind of guiding him. It's a bit like Venom. You know Venom? It's like that. Billy sees a woman that he fancies and follows her to the Christmas shop that she works at. He applies for the job and gets it so that he can be close to her. Her name is Pamela.

It doesn't take long for him to find his next victim - an older dude who hits on Pam. We find out that way back when, after his mom stabbed Santa with her heel, Billy went to check on him and when they touched hands, this electrical surge passes between them. That's the voice we hear.

We find out that there's an urban legend in town - the Snatcher. Someone who takes kids. Pam's dad is like it's just a myth...although, there is an alarming number of missing kids.

Pam gets arrested for sticking up for her nephew. Her ex-boyfriend is a cop and he tells her that she's being released. That's when we find out that they broke up because he punched her in the face. He really wants to get back with her but she's not having it.

Luckily for Billy, he comes across a nazi Christmas party. That makes picking his next kill pretty quickly. He just goes ham on the nazis but the head nazi starts shooting and he ends up getting hit which allows her to get away. But he's ok. It's not his first rodeo.

Tough break for Billy. He's asked to play Santa at work which turns out to be incredibly challenging for him because of what happens to him when he puts on the suit. But he's able to make it through and Pam is very impressed and finds him in the back room and they make out and what not.

We see Pam's dad come across this little girl who is in a van. She had been taken by the Snatcher. The Snatcher comes behind him and kills him. Obviously, Pam is distraught. She tells Billy that she wished Santa was real so that she could ask Santa to kill the guy who killed her dad.

Billy decides to confide in her. He tells her about the electrical surge and how he now is guided by the voice of Charlie, aka Santa. Santa knows who has been naughty and is able to show Billy what they did. So Billy only kills guys that he knows have done real bad stuff. Pam is unfazed.

Charlie leads them to a Christmas tree lot where they find three kids in this bunker with ball pit balls. Pam goes down there and little does she know that the Snatcher is down there too. Guided by Charlie, Billy is able to kill the Snatcher by stabbing him with a box cutter.

When he goes outside, Pam's ex-boyfriend cop is there and he shoots Billy. Pam comes out and sees Billy laying there. He's dying. She grabs his hand and the electrical surge happens. She now has "it". She kills her ex and then hears Billy's voice who will be guiding her. He asks if she's ready for this and she smiles.

BRAN’S HOPE VALLEY: 1874 (SEASON 1 EPISODE 2) SYNOPSIS

The episode starts off in a pretty shocking way - Rebecca is met by her husband, Jim, who is supposed to be dead! Turns out, it was all a dream. Womp womp. But then she thinks her daughter is missing. Turns out, double dream! INCEPTION!

The next day, Rebecca and Sarah get to work on the boarding house. It's actually going really well. But she needs lumber for sale. Unfortunately for her, the only one who has spare lumber is Tom who is still against the boarding house opening. She decides to give it a shot anyway and ask and it doesn't go well.

While she was at Tom's, she left Sarah with another mom, Peggy & her daughter, Jenny. Sarah is shocked to find out that not everyone can read.

Tom has to rush off though because he finds out that Doyal is encroaching on his property. He threatens him that if he doesn't skedaddle, he's gonna shoot him. But then his daughter comes out, so that complicates things, obviously.

Rebecca has an idea to sell pies, so she goes to talk to Hattie about it. While in the boarding house, she sees Olivia drawing and it's really good. She asks her if she'd come and draw some ideas she has for the boarding house. Hattie is not thrilled about this.

Doyal's had it with Tom's ish, so he goes to the new law in town, Alexander. He says he'll look into it.

While on his horse, he comes up beside Rebecca and Sarah and he asks them about Tom. They tell him that Tom isn't a bad guy.

He then goes to talk to Tom and he says unless he has documentation proving that this land is his, the prospectors can do whatever they want on his land.

One night, Rebecca goes out to the prospector area and finds a ton of her wood from the boarding house that they've been taking to burn. She begs them to stop doing that.

There's a bit of a love connection going on between Clayton (Tom's blacksmith guy) and Olivia, Hattie's daughter. But Olivia dreams of the big city. And when he sees her light up when Alexander brings up Toronto, he gets sad.

Rebecca talks to the trading guy about getting lumber brought in. He tells her it's gonna likely be over $500 which is more than she has. She's looking at her ring and her daughter says whatever you do, don't sell your ring.

Lars, Ned's dad, shows up with the wood from the prospectors. They wanted to return it to her. Tom is there when this happens and tells her it looks like she's making friends. He also insists that she not pay him for the carriage wheel. Instead, he wants her to teach Peggy how to read.

The episode ends with Alexander writing a field report about this place. He says nothing of note except one woman who is a bit suspicious. Why would someone leave with her daughter to come to open a boarding house? UH OH!

We're at Friday night dinner and Rory and Emily agree to hang out on Saturday. Lorelai is busy doing literally anything else. Saturday morning is here and they go to Luke's for breakfast. Rachel is still there and shows Lorelai some pictures she took around town, including a picture of her and Luke at the Firelight Festival. But Lorelai is more taken aback by this abandoned house that she took a picture of. She immediately thinks it might be the perfect inn.

When Lorelai gets to work, she's shocked to find Rune is there. You remember Rune - Jackson's cousin. Sookie asks Lorelai for a favor - give Rune a job and let him stay at the inn so he can get out of Jackson's place. She reluctantly agrees.

Emily shows up in Stars Hollow and they go on their way. They're having a great time until Rory shows her the little shack that she grew up in and Emily storms out.

Lorelai goes to check out the inn in the pictures with Rachel. It's perfect.

So she starts hanging out with Rachel more. Luke tells Lorelai to not get attached. She always leaves. Lorelai is like I think she wants to stay this time. Luke is like you don't know what you're talking about.

That night, Lorelai and Rory see Luke and Rachel at the movies, so I guess he listened to her.

At Friday night dinner, Emily is excited to show Rory that she's remodeled a room to be all hers - full of boy band posters and Cosmo magazines. Lorelai is confused and after Rory walks out, Emily and her get into an argument about how Lorelai wanted to be anywhere but with them after Rory was born including a worn down shack.

They go to Luke's afterwards and Rachel tells Lorelai the big news - Luke has given her a drawer.

Ruby isn't sure she can do it but her mom is.

When she arrives in Gullian, her car has a flat and the driver isn't very helpful because this has never happened before. She decides she's just gonna walk it. She comes across a couple fellas out on a jog who point her towards the right direction. Little does she know that one of those joggers was Prince Luca!

So when she is introduced to Prince Luca at the palace, she's shocked. Prince Luca really wants to push things into the future but there's pushback there.

Things between Prince Luca and Ruby progress quickly. He asks her to design his crown and asks her to join him for the centennial celebration.

So they start hanging out more, really digging each other. But ultimately, she's fired for giving the royal family too much press. They are very much against any sort of press. Luca is very sad and his mom begins to realize that maybe she's goofed.

But Ruby realized she goofed too. There's still work to do. So she comes back and finishes his crown. He comes to see her and he's like yay you're back. His mom tells him they're ready to make some changes. And Ruby and Luca kiss.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Meet the Avengers — back together again because apparently no one else can handle a simple “let’s raid a HYDRA base” situation. Their mission? Break into Baron von Strucker’s operation, stop some deeply concerning human experimentation, and get Loki’s scepter back where it belongs. Easy enough… until they run into Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, a pair of enhanced twins with super speed, mind games, and enough power to make everyone very uncomfortable.

After recovering the scepter, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner do what Tony Stark and Bruce Banner always do: they mess with something they absolutely should not mess with. Hidden inside the scepter is the advanced intelligence they think can finally complete Ultron, a global peacekeeping program Tony has been dreaming about. Unfortunately, Ultron wakes up with exactly one idea in mind: humanity has got to go. He destroys J.A.R.V.I.S., wrecks Avengers Tower, steals the scepter, and heads out to build himself a better future… one without people in it.

Ultron recruits Wanda and Pietro by showing them Tony’s greatest hits in collateral damage, and together they set out to collect vibranium for whatever nightmare project he’s cooking up. When the Avengers try to stop them, Wanda gets inside everyone’s heads and forces them to confront their worst fears. Things really go off the rails when she manipulates Bruce into becoming the Hulk in the middle of a city, leaving Tony to suit up in the Hulkbuster armor and punch his friend through several buildings. Not great for public relations.

With the team shaken, divided, and freshly hated by the public, Hawkeye brings everyone to the one place no one saw coming: his secret farmhouse, where he casually reveals that he has a wife, kids, and a whole hidden life none of them knew about. It’s a surprisingly grounding stop for a team on the verge of collapse, and it gives them just enough clarity to realize Ultron’s plan is much bigger than they thought. Once Wanda sees that he’s not trying to save the world but end it, she and Pietro switch sides and join the Avengers.

Things escalate quickly when Ultron kidnaps Natasha, forcing the team into another rescue while also arguing over whether they should trust the strange new synthetic body Tony and Bruce have been building. Thor returns just in time to supercharge the process, explaining that the gem in Loki’s scepter is tied to something far more powerful: the Infinity Stones. The result is Vision, a mysterious new being who immediately earns everyone’s trust by casually lifting Thor’s hammer like it’s no big deal.

The final showdown takes the team to Sokovia, where Ultron has used vibranium to turn an entire chunk of the city into a floating extinction-level weapon. If he can lift it high enough and drop it, humanity is done. So naturally, the Avengers split up to save civilians, battle an endless robot army, rescue Natasha, and stop the apocalypse all at once. Nick Fury even shows up in a Helicarrier because if the sky city is going down, he’s not about to miss it.

The battle comes at a cost. Pietro sacrifices himself to save Hawkeye and a child, Wanda unleashes her grief in spectacular fashion, and Hulk ultimately chooses to disappear rather than risk hurting Natasha or anyone else again. In the end, Tony and Thor destroy Sokovia before it can wipe out the planet, and Vision finishes off Ultron for good — or at least as “for good” as these things ever are.

By the end, the original team has changed. Thor heads back to Asgard to investigate the larger cosmic mystery. Tony steps away. Hawkeye retires. And Steve Rogers and Natasha are left to train a new generation of Avengers, including War Machine, Falcon, Wanda, and Vision.

And just when you think it’s over, Thanos puts on a gauntlet and basically says, “Fine. I’ll do it myself.

300 red coats are officially becoming mounties. They've finally done it!

We meet Rebecca and her daughter Sarah. They're heading west on their horse and carriage but the carriage wheel breaks. So they have to ditch the carriage so that they can keep going, but she stumbles upon an old, broken carriage on the path. So she takes that wheel and brings it back and replaces her broken wheel with that one. We find out that they're on their way to buy a boardinghouse that she saw was for sale in the papers. They stop for water at a stream where some gold miners are. While Rebecca is getting water, some explosives go off in the distance, scaring the horses. They run off with Sarah still in it. Luckily, a dude named Tom is there. Now there is something you need to know - Tom is hot. He's a rancher and he goes to tell this gold miner Doyal to cut it out with the dynamite and Doyal didn't appreciate it.

Tom sees the wheel and is like uh oh, that's not in great shape. I can help ya fix it.

Back at the mounties, we meet Alexander Vaughn. He just graduated top of his class and is being stationed in the gold zone.

So, Tom gives Rebecca and Sarah a ride into town. They are greeted by some other folks who live there. We find out that Rebecca's husband passed recently. And later, when talking to her daughter, we find out that they fled from where they're from to get away from some people.

The next day, she helps Tom with this big cut on his hand that he got when helping stop her horse. She meets Hattie - a fellow widow. She's nice I guess.

Rebecca asks Tom if he can help her find the boarding house. He is like oh no girlfriend...you got swindled. He takes her to what we know as the Saloon in When Calls the Heart and it's an absolute disaster.

We meet Lars and Rachel Yost - potentially Ned's parents? They sell some stuff to Hattie who makes sure that they have enough to get by.

That night, a massive storm comes, so Tom invites them in from their tent to stay dry. The next day, she finds her daughter helping Tom feed a baby cow. She decides to tell her daughter about how they were scammed.

Rebecca is quickly thrown into the fire - she has to help Rachel give birth. It is indeed Ned. She goes out on horseback to look out at the mountains and it is beautiful. This gets her thinking....maybe she should stick around, try to fix the boarding house up. She tells her daughter they're staying and then promptly forces her daughter to go make friends.

Doyal ends up showing up and picking a fight with Tom but right as they're about to fight, the new mountie shows up. He tells them to cut it out and Tom is like who are you? He's like I'm the law and we see Rebecca give her daughter a worried look.

It’s Christmastime, and we meet the Cheshire family — June and Bernie, and their son Connor — in what first feels like a quiet holiday morning. That calm is shattered when Connor discovers his mother collapsed on the kitchen floor. After a frantic call to emergency services, June is rushed to the hospital, and Connor gathers his sisters — Julia, Molly, and Helen — bringing the fractured family back under one roof.

The news is devastating: June doesn’t have much time left. As the reality sets in, old wounds and unresolved tensions rise to the surface. Connor feels stuck and directionless, still living at home. Helen has distanced herself from the family, both physically and emotionally, building a life abroad rooted in spirituality. Julia and Molly haven’t spoken in years, their unresolved conflict having split the family in two. At the center is Bernie, stoic and emotionally reserved, struggling to express what he’s feeling as he faces losing his wife.

As June’s condition worsens, she finds moments of joy in being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Helen, who is expecting her first child, quietly grieves that her baby will never know their grandmother. June’s greatest wish becomes clear: she wants her daughters, Julia and Molly, to reconcile. 

One evening, as snow falls outside, June asks Julia for permission to let go. Through tears, Julia gives it. June shares a final, poetic hope — that she might return as the snow.

With the help of her nurse Angel, she gets her two daughters that are fighting and finally confront their past and begin to heal. 

Later, Connor challenges his father to open up and actually deal with the fact that his wife is dying. Bernie doesn't handle it great but ends up showing his love by singing karoke and finally having a heart to heart with Connor. 

Knowing June won’t make it to Christmas Day, the family comes together to celebrate early, putting on a nativity play in her honor. In the middle of that performance, surrounded by the people she loves most, June passes away. From the wings, Angeli watches as the family begins to process their grief — together.

One year later, the Cheshires gather again at Christmas. Helen has welcomed her baby, and Connor has found love with Angeli. As they raise a toast to June, her voice returns through a letter she wrote to her unborn grandchild, reflecting on a life made rich simply by family. As the children run to the window to watch the snow fall, the family finds peace in her memory — and in the love she left behind.

That's right - Benson Hill families are leaving after the Harvest Fest. The kids are super bummed to go home.

Nathan tells Bill he's planning on proposing. Bill does him a pep talk. It's time! From Bill's lips, to God's ears.

So he goes to find Elizabeth asap. He had something to ask her.

Lucas literally bumps into Edie. She's here to make sure everyone gets home safe. They catch up and Lucas asks if they can get tea when he travels through town. She says I'll be in New York all winter. He asks when she'll get back. She isn't quite sure.

The question Nathan has is not "will you marry me". It's "can LJ climb to the top of the water tower". He does it.

This inspires Elizabeth to ask the school kids to think through what they've gained from this crazy semester.

Minnie's Cafe is official. They got a sign to prove it. Naturally, photographer Gowen is there to photograph the moment.

At the Harvest Fest, magician Lucas is back at it.

After his act, he tells everyone he's stepping down as governor at the end of his term. He endorses Mayor Hickam who seems unaware she was even running.

This leads to a conversation between Lucas and Edie. He calls her his north star. She's like but I'm gonna be traveling. He asks if she'd need help in New York. And they finally kisssssss.

Lee and Rosemary say goodbye to Gwen and she gives them gifts as a thank you.

And then all the Benson Hill folks head back home.

Angela and Allie are hanging out and Angela points out that it's clear that she and Ollie are both into each other. Allie just smiles.

It's proposal time! He was gonna just pop the question while walking but she insists on climbing to the top of the water tower. He proposes and she kinda says yes.

Finally, the episode ends with a car pulling up and who gets out? Abigail and she says it's good to be home.

At Friday night dinner, Trix is there - the name Richard calls his mom. She makes Emily's life absolutely miserable and it's hilarious. She asks them to come back tomorrow so that she can make them some actual good food from Europe. Rory is busy with school but Lorelai is in.

The next day, Rory gets together with folks from school to work on her class project. When Tristan shows up, he pulls Paris aside to ask her out. Paris is pumped!

Paris comes over before the date, freaking out, not sure what to wear. She helps her and sends her on her way.

At the European dinner, Trix tells Lorelai that she wants to give Rory her inheritance now so that she can pay for Chilton herself. Lorelai is blown away by this and Emily is freaking out immediately.

The next day, Paris comes in feeling very happy. The date went well. But when she goes to talk to Tristan, he says they should just be friends. But he's glad that he listened to Rory and asked her out. Well, this is how Paris finds out that this was all Rory's idea and she goes to yell at her. She's not a charity case!

Lorelai goes to have tea with her mom and Trix. While waiting for Trix, they argue about the money and Trix overhears this. She tells Lorelai she can't trust her with the money so the deal is off the table.

The episode ends with Lorelai telling Rory she lost her a quarter of a million dollars.

Meet Tee. She's a pottery instructor. She has her regulars and they love her. One day, during class, a hunk walks in. His name is Will and he's looking for the boss, Liz. They need a new handyman and he wants the gig. The regulars point out to Will that Liz is single, and he ain't upset.

He gets the gig and gets to work. While fixing a fan in the pottery room, he finds a phone that was left behind. He discovers it's Tee's phone and finds out he should bring it to her mom's shop. Her mom tells him where she is - pitching her art to this guy that can help make her art dreams come true. This guy says she's good but doesn't see any of "her" in the pieces. Just then, Will shows up with her phone and they get to talking and walking. They're hitting it off.

She gets home and talks to her mom about what the guy said. They're drinking tea out of a teapot - the only pot her mom has from home. That gets Tee to thinking - maybe she should learn about that type of pottery and go with that.

The next day, they get bad news. The city is considering cutting the funding of the community center. They gotta figure out a way to save it! And what better way to fix the community center by hanging out, getting to know each other, slow dancing surrounded by lanterns, and kisssssinggggg.

But the community center...it's still in trouble! But when she finds out that the school has to cancel the dance due to a pipe burst, she comes up with an idea. Go to the city council and make an argument that everyone has a need for the community center, and if they keep it open until next Friday, they can hold it there.

They have an open house and it's a big hit, and her new pottery gets picked up by a place in San Fran. It's all coming up aces. THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS SAVED!

It's school dance time and those two love birds decide to dance themselves and kiss some more.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

It's 1988 and young Peter Quill is having a tough go of it but at least he has his music. His mom is sick and she ends up passing away. He's real sad and runs out of the hospital into a foggy field. Unfortunately for him, the hits keep coming and he's abducted by an alien ship.

26 years later, we're on the planet of Morag. We see a dude with a mask of glowing red eyes walking around. He uses this device to see what used to be on the planet. He takes his mask off and we see it's Peter all grown up, still a big fan of music. He tries to steal this orb thing but is taken by guys. Ultimately, he's able to escape, orb in hand.

Yondu, the guy who abducted Peter way back when, finds out that Peter stole the orb and puts a bounty out for him.

Bad guy Ronan also finds out the orb was taken and sends an assassin named Gamora after him.

But that's not allllll - bounty hunters Rocket (a raccoon) and Groot (a tree) see him and decide to go after him when they find out how much his bounty is worth.

Peter tries to sell the orb but it doesn't work. Gamora is waiting for him as he walks out and takes the orb. A fight breaks out which is a good time for Rocket and Groot to jump in on the fight.

They all end up getting arrested. While in prison, they meet a guy named Drax who is known for killing associates of Ronan, so he's got his sights on Gamora. Peter stops him from killing her by hatching an idea - let her take you to Ronan to kill him. Gamora explains that she's actually betrayed Ronan and intended to sell the orb. Together, they're able to escape.

We then see Ronan talking to Gamora's dad, Thanos, about her betrayal. He sends his other daughter (who he loves less), Nebula, to go get her back.

So they take the orb to a dude who can open it. Turns out, inside is the Infinity Stone. So that's not great.

Nebula shows up and destroys Gamora's ship while Ronan's fighters capture the Orb. Peter sees Gamora out there floating in space about to die. So he goes out there and gives her his helmet so that he can pull her back into his ship.

So, Peter & Co. know that facing Ronan will not turn out well but that they cannot let him use the Infinity Stone. So they need to hatch a plan.

Speaking of which, Ronan puts the Stone in his warhammer, taking its power for himself. Nebula, hating her dad, agrees to team up with him.

So the squad decides to team up with Yondu and co. to stop Ronan. Ronan pulls up and just starts absolutely wrecking their fleet like it's nothing. Inside the ship, Drax gets his revenge moment, Gamora and Nebula have their sister fight, and everyone quickly realizes… oh no, we are in over our heads.

Peter decides the best way to stop him is… a dance-off distraction which gives Drax and Rocket just enough time to destroy Ronan's hammer.

Peter grabs the Infinity Stone, which should absolutely kill him—but plot twist! His friends grab onto him, they all share the power of friendship, and together they vaporize Ronan.

The group officially becomes the Guardians of the Galaxy, their records get wiped clean, and Quill learns he's only half human which is why the Infinity Stone didn't kill him.

Finally, Peter opens the last gift from his mom: a new mixtape.

Luckily, his family owns an inn. When she sees it, it's perfect! Zach is all about this, but there are some people who are not a fan of a big Hollywood, or Atlanta, production coming into town and ruining their small town charm, specifically a woman named Ruth.

So she sticks around and starts hanging with Zach, sparks begin to fly. But no matter how hard she tries, she can't get Ruth to sign off on this movie. And she tries everything including baked goods.

Zach shows her a very special Mistletoe tradition - a movie that starred Ruth. Turns out, Ruth made this movie and then Hollywood spit her out. That's why she is so anti-movie.

She's just not sure what to do. Nothing a really creepy Santa can't fix. She talks to Santa about everything and I guess it helps.

Her boss is mad at her for not getting the town to sign off on the movie so she fires her. But Willow has her own movie and I guess she's gonna stick around and they're gonna make the movie there together. And she and Zach kiss!

It's court time! Lee stands up and gives his opening statement. He talks about dreams and stuff. The electric company's lawyer stands up and says his statement is all hat, no cattle. Where is Christopher?!

Nathan is called up for questioning first. They present all the evidence they have. The defense attorney points out none of that is hard evidence, coincidences prove nothing.

Up next is Georgie. She talks about the map but once again....not super helpful in proving the case.

Elizabeth finds out about the camping trip and says no way. LJ is peeved.

Back in court, the tides turn. They use the Rosemary lie thing to their advantage. But the problem is, it's entrapment. The judge says he can't use it.

Christopher is their last chance. So Gowen goes on the radio and pleads for him to come and give his testimony.

And it works. He comes in. Brings the transformer. And they win! The electric company is guilty!

To celebrate, Nathan makes Elizabeth dinner. He's about to propose when Allie runs in. LJ is stuck in a tree! They get him down but he's pissed.

Nathan and her have a heart to heart that night and he tells her to just trust her instinct.

We pick up where we left off. Rory tells Lorelai that he broke up with her and she promptly compiles a box of all of Dean's stuff, things he's seen, things he likes, and asks Lorelai to get rid of it.

The next morning, Rory wakes her up early. She wants to get up and at 'em! They head to Luke's and it becomes clear that everyone in town already knows. Luke sees Dean trying to come inside to get coffee, so he goes outside and fights him. They head home and Lorelai encourages Rory to just hang out with Lane for a while.

Feeling lonely and missing Max, she goes to try to hang out with Sookie, but she's busy on a miserable date with Jackson because he's attempting to make her dinner.

So she gives in and decides to go see Max and apologizes to him and he invites her in.

Rory and Lane go to a Chilton party. It doesn't take Lane long to meet a guy and start dancing. And Rory begins to notice that ol' Tristan over there is sad because he and his new girlfriend broke up.

At Max's house, those two love birds are kissing HARDDDDD. But they start to discuss where things stand. Turns out, nothing's changed. He's still Rory's teacher. But whatever. LET'S KISS!

Next thing you know, they're in bed. UH OH!

Rory finds Tristan alone at the piano and they talk about their prospective break ups. They end up kissing but Rory pulls away and starts crying.

When Lorelai gets home, she sees Rory on the couch crying and ready to wallow.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

There's a break in and all this burglar wanted was this piece of paper with a seal on it. The dog in the house wasn't thrilled.

Cut to Nelly. She's heading to work and everyone loves her. Remember, Nelly is an advice columnist. Detective Michael is trying to play it cool though. He tells his co-worker he sees her occasionally but it's a small town.

Nelly gets a call from this widow who wrote to her for advice and asks her to come visit her at her manor right away...the manor from the beginning. Mrs. Palmer Arlot invites Nelly to come to this family party where she will tell the family some big news. Naturally, she asks for a plus 1. And she wants that plus 1 to be Michael. Michael is like it's a date!

When they get there, Michael sees the caterer and ducks. I'm sure it's nothing.

They get inside and the family clearly doesn't like Palmer. And they like her even less when she makes her big announcement - she's cutting everyone out of the will and is giving everything to her dog, Moxy. Nelly and Michael are just sitting there like uhhhhhh.

Later in the evening, the lights go out. Gunshots. The lawyer is shot. He's dead. BUT Palmer is like "I felt the bullet breeze past me." In fact, she has a bullet hole in her hat. She was the intended target. Luckily for her, there's a detective in the room. They find the gun that had been tossed in a giant vase and shut the room down immediately.

These are our suspects: Hux who is Palmer's brother. Hux's son, Teddy. Claire is Palmer's late-husband's sister. And Brie who is Palmer's half-sister. Plus, the caterer & the butler, although they probably didn't do it.

Speaking of the caterer, Michael tells Nelly that it's his ex-wife. He promises there's nothing between them, he just didn't want to ruin their date. He asks her to be his consultant on the case.

They start by questioning Palmer. They discuss the gun, which she keeps on display in the hallway. They question everyone else. They have nothing concrete and everyone has a reason why they'd do it and some of them are quite good with guns! They swab everyone's hands to see if it matches any fingerprints on the gun.

Unfortunately for Brie, her prints are on the gun. She explains that she found the gun on the floor in the hallway and put it back in the case. In fact, she says Nelly saw her do that.

Plus, there's no gunshot residue on anyone's hands.

Naturally, Nelly and Michael are keeping an eye on the family and they discover that Teddy and Leah (Michael's ex-wife) are a secret thing!

Michael requests to be taken off the case because his ex-wife is a suspect. His co-worker is like pshhhh that doesn't matter. Keep at it.

Nelly is chatting with Claire and she tells her about this email she got from Palmer that was really mean. Nelly is like I know Palmer's writing...I don't think this was her.

Nelly has a hunch that the dead lawyer was acting on his own accord.

So they go look at some of the docs in his office and there's a lot of shady doings, including fraudulent deeds. They suspect that Brie and the lawyer were working together - she stole some of the docs. They know because she had a bite mark on her arm. Their working theory now is that Brie killed the lawyer to get him out of the equation.

But before they bring that to Palmer, they look at the financial records. Turns out, the butler wasn't being paid. So they go to check out the kitchen and find a secret window that would give the butler a clear shot.

Nelly goes to talk to Palmer and it suddenly all comes to her - Palmer was working with the butler to kill the lawyer because they figured out that he was taking advantage of her. Nelly tells her that her family doesn't hate her - that was all Adam.

He comes in and points a rifle towards Nelly but Palmer tells him it's all over. Then Michael comes in and saves the day.

The movie ends with Michael leaving Nelly a note asking for advice on how to make a move on a girl he really likes. She tells him he should just go for it.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Steve goes for a run but he's fast so it's funny. He meets a guy named Sam and they yuck it up a bit. Natasha picks him up. They have a mission to attend to! Even though they're on the mission together, Black Widow actually had a different mission than Cap. He's not happy about it and tells Nick Fury as much but Nick doesn't care.

So Nick goes to decrypt the data that Natasha gave him but he can't which he finds suspicious. When he goes to meet up with another agent, he's ambushed by a group of people. It's not good. After a big fight, we see someone called the Winter Soldier walking towards him.

Fury is able to escape before the Winter Soldier gets to him. He's able to get to Steve's apartment and tells him what's happened and hands him a flash drive of the ship's data and tells him to trust no one.

Bad news gang - Nick Fury is dead. Natasha is confused why Nick was in Steve's apartment.

Steve is now a fugitive and it doesn't take long for people to start attacking him. Luckily, Natasha is on his side. They are able to find the location of an old SHIELD base in New Jersey. While heading there, they have to kiss to get people off their case, obviously.

They get to the base and head to the basement and Natasha is able to get the computer to boot up.

The computer now holds like the consciousness of Arnim Zola from Red Skull fame. Turns out SHIELD recruited Zola to reform Hydra. Turns out, it didn't work and now they have the Winter Soldier doing their dirty work.

Rogers and Romanoff almost get stuck in the bunker when a missile hits it.

Winter Soldier is told to get them.

Feeling like they need help, Cap decides to bring Sam into the fold from that time he met him while running.

They try to get some insight from a Hydra mole but the Winter Soldier shows up. Big fight, big fun. But Steve recognizes him within his mask, his ol' pal Bucky Barnes. But Bucky doesn't know what he's talking about.

They're captured by the baddies but Agent Hill breaks them out and brings them to a secret hideout where they find out that Nick Fury is alive.

They hatch a big plan that involves Black Widow going full Mission Impossible with a face disguise to break into Hydra with the plan of leaking all the info. Nick Fury shows up to help make things happen. Meanwhile, Cap and Sam struggle with Bucky Barnes. It's not looking good for Cap but Bucky Barnes ends up rescuing him before disappearing.

With S.H.I.E.L.D. in disarray, Romanoff appears before a Senate subcommittee to defend her and Rogers's actions. Fury, under the cover of his apparent death, pursues Hydra's remaining cells. Rogers and Wilson decide to find Barnes.

We meet Merv, a dog owned by Russ and Anna. The problem is Russ and Anna are no longer together, so Merv bounces back and forth between them. Russ is a teacher and Anna is an eye doctor. But bad news - Merv doesn't seem to be doing well. They meet up to bring him to the vet to check on him. Turns out, he's depressed.

Russ decides he's gonna take Merv on a sunny vacation. That'll cheer him up. Turns out, it doesn't. So Anna decides to join them by just showing up.

Merv's mood begins to improve now that his people are together. They all go to a dog party and Anna gets jealous of Russ's chemistry with the party's host Jocelyn, and Russ gets jealous of Jocelyn's brother flirting with Anna. A dog healer is at the party - basically a dog psychic. It doesn't go well and it leads to Anna deciding she's going to leave. He convinces her to stay longer and good thing he did cuz they start having a real good time! They end up going to visit his family and it goes well. He tells her he proposed to her because he loved her, not to try to fix things.

Back at the dog resort, Russ goes to hang out with Jocelyn and she ends up kissing him but he pulls away. Why? Because he still loves Anna. So he goes to drink by himself and falls asleep on the beach. He wakes up trying to find Merv but he's nowhere to be found until Anna walks up on the beach with him. He found her.

They hash things out about why they broke up - he explains how she shut him out when she found out that she is infertile. She explains that she forgot how much fun they had together and this trip has reminded her of this. She asks if they can start over but Russ isn't sure if he can do that again. What if things go bad again?

After their trip, Russ leaves her sole custody of Merv because he thinks one home will make Merv happier.

Russ is sad. So he decides to go to the shelter and get a new dog and get some glasses. He's still sad, so he takes his dog for a walk, and wouldn't you know it - they bump into Anna and Merv. They make up and tell each other that they love each other and they kisssssss.

BRAN’S WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 10) SYNOPSIS

Elizabeth comes downstairs to see Charlotte. She asks if she wants to visit Jack's grave with her and LJ. Charlotte says hard pass, I'm busy.

Nathan goes to talk to Ned. He locks the doors to make sure no one walks in as he shares big news;....HE'S LOOKING FOR AN ENGAGEMENT RING! Ned says he's happy to help but needs to know the ring size first. Nathan says he's on the case.

Speaking of cases, remember the fire? Nathan, Bill, and Georgie are back on that case. Nathan comes up with an idea to prove the fraud - a "drip test". They're gonna spread some false information to one of the companies and see if it finds its way to the other. But they need a mole. Obviously, they ask Rosemary and SHE'S PUMPED. The plan is simple - Rosemary will meet with National Insurance to place a false tip that would exonerate Pioneer Electric. If that information gets to Pioneer, they'll come to the police with that info which will prove they're working together.

After school, Nathan tells Allie the BIG NEWS! He asks her to help find the ring size. They need to get the ring so they can trace it. They have a couple ideas - baking, cleaning, etc. But no luck!

Rosemary is ready to rock n roll. She goes into the meeting and gives the performance of her life and the dude wrote down some stuff in his notebook.

Allie sees Mei and Mei doing pottery and that gives her an idea - throw a pottery party and get Elizabeth to come and she'll take off her ring.

Lee and Lucas are talking over Benson Hill plans when Lee brings up Fernando. Naturally, that leads to him opening up about Edie. Lee gives him some good advice.

Elizabeth and Charlotte talk again about the grave site. She opens up about how she's never been before. It's just too hard.

At the pottery class, all the ladies take off their rings. Allie recommends everyone close their eyes and really feel the clay. Allie grabs Elizabeth's ring and presses it into some spare clay. So I guess that works.

The head of Pioneer Electric arrives at the police station and tells Nathan that he's heard some stuff. So I guess that's good. Afterward, Nathan immediately meets up with Bill, Georgie, and Rosemary and tells them the good news. Bill claims that while it would be better to have Christopher to testify, this gives them a fighting chance in court. In the evening, Bill and Georgie walk through town together. While celebrating the recent success with the investigation, Bill leans in to kiss her. She stops him and tells him she thinks their time has passed, insisting she doesn't want their relationship to turn out like her others did. Bill insists it can be different for them, highlighting that the important thing is that they make each other happy. She admits he makes a good point, and agrees to try under one condition: total honesty. He agrees without hesitation and professes he has always loved her. They share a romantic kiss.

The episode starts with Miss Patty telling a group of kids about how Stars Hollow came to be and why they celebrate the Founders Firelight Festival.

Dean and Rory are hanging out and he asks if they could hang out on Friday. She's like you know I can't on Friday. But he's like it's our 3 month anniversary and I have something big planned. She tells him she'll see what she can do. She tells her mom and she's like that's fine, but you better also be there.

Lorelai is feeling a bit grumpy. She hasn't heard from Max in a while and everyone around her seems to be all in love because of the Firelight Festival. So she goes to get some coffee at Luke's, that'll be what she needs. Except suddenly, Rachel shows up. Luke's ex-girlfriend Rachel. They make awkward small talk, and it's clear Luke is very nervous.

Unfortunately for Lorelai, it's time for her to head to Friday night dinner. And wouldn't you know it, Emily sees this as a moment to try to set her up with a fancy boy named Chase.

Meanwhile, Rory and Dean are out at a fancy dinner. They're having the absolute best time. Dean has gone HARD on their 3 month anniversary.

Lorelai is so unbelievably bored by Chase that she tries to sneak out. Luckily for her, Richard also finds him absolutely boring and helps her sneak out.

Dean surprises Rory with a big gift - he's building her a car. She is blown away. She tells him this is as good as it gets. Life will never be this good again. He takes this opportunity to tell her that he loves her. She does not respond. Which leads him to absolutely freaking out.

Lorelai ends back up in Stars Hollow and sits next to Luke. They talk about Rachel and then she heads home to call Max but before she can leave a message, Rory shows up and tells her that she and Dean broke up.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

The cookie jar is going to be providing desserts for a masquerade party at the grand re-opening of the Lake Eden Inn. The new manager, Derryl, comes in to talk through ideas. He's very frazzled cuz there's just so much to do!

She shows up at the inn and gives a cookie to the check-in attendee, Bobby. She meets with Brandi (who seems generally unhappy to be there) to talk through set up and tour the kitchen and stuff. She meets the owner, Mr. How & his wife, and goes on her way.

It's party time. Hannah goes down to finish some cookies and Brandi is there. She talks about how she's been passed over for a promotion and wants to come up with some ideas that will help her get one.

Next thing you know, Hannah and her sister are walking down a hallway and hear a thud. They go into the room, and sure enough, dead body. It's Brandi. UH OH!

She goes to get Chad and they get to work on investigating!

After a full night of poking around, they got nothing aside from some messed up time cards.

Hannah figures out that Brandi and Mr. How were having an affair! So she goes to question him and he's like yeah we were which is why I never gave her a promotion cuz I didn't want my wife to find out. But I'd never kill her.

So it's probably his wife right? No. She corners Hannah in an alley to tell her just that.

Turns out, it's Derryl. He did it.

To celebrate, Hannah and Chad kiss big ones. The end hopefully forever.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Loki is in troubleeeee. Daddy Odin is mad at him. Loki is like I just wanted to rule Earth as a benevolent god. What's the big deal? Odin tells him he should have him killed but instead, he'll just be imprisoned.

Thor is doing Thor stuff, fighting off rock monsters and stuff with his buddies. When he gets back to Asgard, Odin tells him the time has come for him to get over Jane Foster and become king.

Speaking of Jane Foster, she's in London, trying to eat with a dude but she can't stop thinking about Thor. Darcy shows up to tell her that the numbers and graphs and stuff are going nuts! They head to where the readings are happening and it takes them to an abandoned warehouse where there seems to be some sort of weird teleportation portal that is opening and closing at random. She gets sucked into the portal.

While this is happening, Thor is talking to Idris Elba who is supposed to be keeping an eye on her and he's like oh weird, I actually can't see her right now. So he goes to Earth to check on her. By the time he gets there, she's now returned back to Earth. She's shocked to find out that it's been 5 hours. She sees Thor and smacks him a couple times for taking so long.

The cops show up and try to arrest her for trespassing. When he touches her, this like red light radiates from her and sends them flying. Realizing that something is going on with her, Thor grabs her and transports them to Asgard to do some tests. Odin sees what's going on with her and is like oh yea I know what's up. That's dark elf-ish. It's called the Aether. And it's bad.

Thor explains, every 5000 years, the 9 realms align and it causes the portals between these realms to get a bit wonky. So that's how she fell through that portal. But when she interacted with the Aether, she awakened Malekith - a dark elf who is up to no good. They attack Asgard and kill Thor's mom, Frigga, in the process of protecting Jane from them.

Thor immediately wants revenge but Odin tells him to wait - they'll be back because we still have the Aether.

Thor doesn't want to wait. So he asks Loki to help. Luckily, he knows about a secret portal to Svartalfheim, where they will use Jane to lure and confront Malekith, away from Asgard. In return, Thor promises Loki vengeance on Malekith for killing their mother.

While in transport, Thor and Loki have a heart to heart. They yell at each other. They love each other. Classic brother stuff.

There, Loki tricks Malekith into drawing the Aether out of Jane, but Thor's attempt to destroy the exposed substance fails. Malekith merges with the Aether and leaves in his ship.

Loki is real hurt, on the verge of death. Thor is like I'll tell Dad you didn't suck after all. Afterwards, Thor and Jane discover another portal in a nearby cave and reunite in London with Darcy and Jane's mentor Dr. Erik Selvig who was kinda going crazy but he's fine.

Jane knows about Malekith's plan to destroy the universe. Thor starts going through all these portals when Malekith ends up on Earth. Thor returns just in time to help transport Malekith away from Earth where he is crushed by his own ship that was also being transported at the same time.

Thor returns to Asgard, where he declines Odin's offer to take the throne and tells Odin of Loki's sacrifice. As he leaves, Odin's form transforms to that of a grinning Loki. UH OHHHHHHH.

We meet Jeff as he jumps out of bed and starts singing Joy to the World. I guess he like owns a hotel and also lives there. He gets a call from someone named Jordan who tells him that she's not coming to help at the hotel this holiday season. Instead, she's sending a girl named Mia...someone who has a massive crush on Jeff since they were kids. The problem is Jeff can't stand Mia. So he's really mad about it so he drives to his buddy Allen's house. He has a request for him - will you work at my hotel for 2 weeks and work alongside her - run interference so I don't have to be around her? He pushes back because he doesn't want to take 2 weeks off of work but ultimately gives in. He starts to like her and they end up going on a date. One date leads to another date which leads to a kiss. Jeff starts getting jealous - he wants her to keep liking him even though he's not interested because he's a psycho. So he texts her to go to a movie and she says sure and then asks if Allen is coming. So he says yes.

But at the movie, he tries to hold her hand. She's not interested. She holds Allen's hand instead.

The next day, Allen tells Mia the truth about how he was only hired to run interference which makes her mad. He goes after her and tells her he loves her and they kiss.

Jeff is forced to move on and says hi to the next girl who walks into the hotel. Who knows what'll happen next.

Elizabeth is talking to Rosemary and Lee about the schoolhouse situation and she has the idea - to have the students help make the design for the new schoolhouse.

Lucas calls Edie and Edie tells him about her new position. He asks if she could help with the funding issues.

Nathan, Bill and Oliver go out on serious mountie business - searching for the medal, but they still can't find it.

Lee shows up to tell the students that he needs their help designing the new school.

Lucas and Edie talk more about what to do and they get to work on writing up a proposal.

To help LJ learn more about his dad, Elizabeth, Nathan and Allie take LJ to do a scavenger hunt to hear stories about Jack. It all leads to Grandma Charlotte showing up and reading him a letter from his dad.

Allie is talking to Oliver and she asks Oliver to help look through Jack's old case files that she could show to LJ. She shows it to Charlotte and she loves it and asks if she can hold onto it for a little bit.

Lucas and Edie are on the phone again, working on Lucas' proposal when Lucas begins to tell Edie that he regrets how things went the last time they saw each other and wishes he followed his heart. She awkwardly ends the call.

At the schoolhouse, the students present their ideas for the Benson Hills schoolhouse. Rupert and Opal steal the show, open concept and stuff. Lucas loves it and tells them he wants to take the plans to the committee.

At supper, Charlotte shows Allie that she created some illustrations to add to her story. Allie loves them and decides it's time to give the book to LJ. LJ loves the gift and begins reading it aloud right away. Elizabeth and Charlotte tell Allie that they are happy there is another writer in the family.

We kick things off with Dean coming over for movie night. It does not go well because it comes out that Dean wants a woman who will cook for him while watching the Donna Reed show.

At Luke's, Lorelai suggests that he paint the diner. He doesn't like painting. She does and offers to help, so he takes her up on the offer because HE LOVESSSSS HER.

The next day, Rory is asked by Babette to house sit for the night because they just got a new kitten. She agrees and goes to ask Dean to come over but they argue about Donna Reed so that's a no go on the coming over.

Rory has a baby chick that she brings home and asks Lorelai to keep an eye on it while she cat sits. She says ok and then promptly goes to Luke's to start planning the painting. The sparks between these two.

When she gets back home, the chick is gone! She calls Luke and is like come over, a chick is loose. He assumes that means something else, not an actual chick being loose.

He runs over and ends up finding the chick.

Rory decides to make up with Dean by having a Donna Reed night, complete with her making him steak and taters. They have a great night together with Rory playing housekeeper for her boy.

Luke finds the chick and goes to take some trash out at the same time as Dean taking trash out. It's a whole thing.

Lorelai helps Luke get the paint and they set a date to paint. Suddenly, Christopher rolls up on his hog. Oh, who's Christopher? It's Rory's dad and he's going to be staying for a couple days much to Lorelai's chagrin.

That night, he tells Lorelai he thinks he's really close to having his business stuff really take off and he wants to be more a part of Rory's life. Emily catches wind that Christopher is in town, so she wants to have him come over for Friday dinner along with Christopher's parents.

To say that this dinner doesn't go well would be an understatement. Christopher's dad calls Lorelai out in front of everyone and blames her for derailing Christopher's life. Richard kicks them out.

Feeling like her dad finally stood up for her, she goes to thank him. Richard explains he didn't do it for her, it was for the Gilmore name. And they get in a huge argument. She goes out on her bedroom balcony and so does Christopher. Naturally, they roll around on the cement ground.

While all that's happening, Luke is waiting for her at the diner to paint. He's sad. I'm sad. We're all sad.

The next day, she wakes up and remembers she promised Luke. She goes down to apologize and he's clearly hurt. When she gets back to her house, Christopher says he wants to marry her. They argue and she says no. So on his hog he goes.

Rory finds out that she said no to his proposal and she gets kinda sad. She just wants her parents to be married.

She goes to paint Luke's all by herself. They're back to being good.

Hope is doing some work on the ranch, moving hay a few feet when a guy shows up. His name is Tom. He's her neighbor and when he finds out she's listening to country music, he's pumped. He's also pumped to find out that she's bringing back the Giddy Up Gala. Bad news though - Inspector Dave shows up and gives her a list of things she needs to do and get signed off on before the Gala.

When she and Tom go out to get some horse feed, she sees Jack and she's not thrilled. They grew up together and definitely had a thing and he's still in love with her. She's like you think you could just move here and buy a place and I'd bump into you and we'd just pick up where we left off?! NO SIR!

She starts working on prep for the Gala, driving around handing out invitations, and having flirty flirty fun times with Tom.

But for reasons I don't understand, she starts letting Jack help out with stuff that needs to get done for the Gala.

Everything is going well until the inspector comes. There are issues. She's freaking out and freaks out on ol' Jack over there.

They end up making out and kissing, just in time for the Giddy Up Gala.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

We're back in 1999 in Switzerland on New Year's Eve. Tony Stark is hanging out with scientist Maya Hansen, who's showing him some new experimental regenerative tech called Extremis. It's supposed to heal the human body — but there's a big problem with it: sometimes it explodes.

Also at the party, Tony gets approached by Aldrich Killian, who awkwardly pitches him on joining his company, Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM). Tony blows him off in the most Tony way possible — tells him to meet on the roof later and then never shows up because he's too busy with Maya.

Cut to the present day, and Tony is not doing great. Ever since the alien invasion in New York, he's been having nonstop panic attacks. He barely sleeps, he keeps building new Iron Man suits, and it's putting serious strain on his relationship with Pepper — especially when he accidentally summons a suit in his sleep and it crashes down on top of her.

One day Killian shows up to Stark Industries to pitch Pepper on AIM's tech. She's impressed but can tell it's clearly headed toward becoming a weapon, so she turns him down. Happy overhears the meeting and gets bad vibes from Killian and his associate, Eric Savin, so he starts following them.

Happy tails Savin into a crowded market and watches him hand off a briefcase to a military veteran. Inside are these weird glowing capsules that look like drugs or something. Happy confronts the guy, things get physical, and that's when he realizes Savin is basically a human weapon. It ends horribly — there's a massive explosion, and Happy is left critically injured in the hospital.

A terrorist known as the Mandarin takes credit for the blast, along with several others around the country. Furious about what happened to Happy, Tony goes on live TV, calls out the Mandarin, and — in a truly terrible decision — gives him his home address.

Yeah. That backfires immediately.

Before the attack, Maya Hansen shows up trying to warn Tony about something, but she doesn't get the chance. Moments later, helicopters roll in and absolutely level Tony's Malibu mansion. Pepper barely survives, and Tony escapes in a new prototype suit that runs out of power mid-flight and crash-lands in rural Tennessee. The world assumes Iron Man is dead.

Stranded with a half-working suit, Tony meets a smart kid named Harley who helps him regroup. Together they investigate the site of a nearby Mandarin explosion, and Tony starts noticing a pattern: all the victims are military veterans connected to AIM. After hacking into AIM's systems, Tony learns the truth — the "bombings" aren't terrorist attacks at all. They're caused by failed Extremis experiments. Some people's bodies reject it and literally blow up, and Killian has been covering it up by framing the "Mandarin".

Savin tracks Tony down and attacks him, giving him his first real look at how powerful Extremis is.

Following the trail to Miami, Tony storms the Mandarin's hideout using homemade weapons since he still doesn't have a working suit — only to discover the Mandarin isn't a mastermind terrorist at all. He's just a clueless British actor named Trevor who was hired to play the role, created by Killian to have someone to blame.

Killian then kidnaps Pepper and injects her with Extremis, planning to use her as leverage to force Tony to help perfect the tech. When Maya changes her mind and tries to stop him, Killian kills her real bad.

Killian also lures Rhodey — now rebranded as the Iron Patriot — into a trap and steals his armor. Using it, Killian kidnaps the President right off Air Force One in a staged "Mandarin" attack. Tony manages to remotely save some passengers, but the President is taken.

The plan? Kill the President live on TV and install the Vice President — who Killian has been secretly giving Extremis to — as a puppet leader.

With Tony & Rhodey teaming up, Rhodes rescues the President while Tony goes after Pepper.

Tony calls in all of his Iron Man suits that he has been creating while not sleeping and they swarm the platform in an all-out battle. Pepper survives the Extremis procedure and turns out to be incredibly powerful, but during the fight she falls into the flames below, and Tony thinks she's dead.

Tony confronts Killian and traps him in a suit that self-destructs — but it still doesn't finish him off.

And since the explosion didn't kill Killian, maybe the explosion didn't kill Pepper. That's right - Pepper's alive. Extremis healed her and gave her super strength, and she uses it to finally kill Killian for good.

After the fight, Tony has JARVIS destroy all of his Iron Man suits, Pepper's Extremis is stabilized, and Tony finally has the shrapnel removed from his chest. But he'll always be….IRON Man 3.

There's a reporter going around trying to find out who the town's secret Santa is. There's someone who has been buying people presents every year but has remained anonymous. One night, Natasha's grandma gives her a book and a letter that Grandpa wants Natasha to have. He wants her to take over the role of Candy Cane Santa. She goes for a walk, thinks about it, SHE'S IN!

She and Grandma go shopping and deliver their first batch of gifts, including an oven! The next day, the people gather around, excited to see that Secret Santa is happening! But there's a reporter in town named Adrian who is there to try to figure out who the Secret Santa is.

They start hanging out though cuz he's hot and she keeps having to come up with excuses for why certain things are happening because she doesn't want him to find out it's her.

Unfortunately, he pieces it together and captures it on video. He gives her a chance to come clean and she asks him to please not publish the article. It would ruin the tradition.

He does publish the article, but not outing her as the Secret Santa.

Flash forward a year and they're still together, she's opening up a Secret Santa office to expand into other cities and her and Adrian are gonna get married!

Rosemary sees a poster for The Mask of Zorro and hears Lucas talk about how the moving pictures are the next hot thing. She decides in that moment, she's going to make a movie! She tells Lee about her plans and he's all about it. She asks Elizabeth to write the script. She brings some ideas to Rosemary (and Opal, obviously) but they're hard to please. She ends up writing a script about a mountie falling in love with a school teacher. She brings the idea to Rosemary and she loves it as long as Elizabeth and Nathan play the lead roles. Nathan isn't thrilled but doesn't want anyone else kissing Elizabeth.

Now for the serious stuff - Nathan, Bill, and Georgie are on the case. They have a new working theory - if the case settles as arson, National Insurance is obligated to pay out much less than if it were corporate negligence. They think that the insurance company and the electric company are working together. To help prove the case, Georgie brings up the fact that the electric company's map has no signature from the map maker, but recognizes the style of the compass on the map that Christopher had. The man who made the map is named Clement Scoggins. They wanna try to get info from him, so she invites him to town to "pitch a new map" to him and then start to grill him on the work he's done with the electric company. He runs out.

Meanwhile, it's film making time. Nathan and Elizabeth are so bad that Rosemary fires them. She hires Fernando and Faith and the chemistry is off the charts.

Georgie and Bill listen in on the phone and wait for ol' Scoggins to call the electric company, which he does and tells them that they're in trouble.

Edie tries to hang out with Lucas but he just can't do it. He's too afraid of getting hurt again. So Edie ends up leaving town.

The episode ends with Nathan telling Elizabeth that he feels like a failure for not being able to finish this fire case and her comforting him....cuz they have real chemistry.

Lorelai is trying to work and study for business school, and Michel comes over and is like we're overbooked! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! She might find out in business school.

Lorelai is talking to Sookie when Jackson comes in and the tension is weird. Sookie asked Jackson out to dinner but now it's been weeks, and still no dinner. Lorelai encourages her to talk to him about it!

Rory is kissing Dean and she decides now is the time to talk to him about a potential double date with Todd. He is like well whatever gets me back to kissing you, sure let's double date.

Sookie tells Lorelai the good news - the date with Jackson is on. The bad news is he wants it to be a double date with Lorelai and Jackson's cousin. She's not thrilled but anything for Sookie.

It's date night! Rory and Lane decide not to tell their moms about this double date thing and off they go.

When Jackson and his cousin Rune show up, Rune pulls Jackson aside and is horrified to see that Lorelai is tall. Naturally, she hears all of this making her even less excited for the double date.

But he's terrible to Lorelai – he asks her shoe size, won't look at her, won't make conversation.

At the other double date, Lane is trying to have a good time with Todd but Todd has just nothing going on in that noggin.

Lorelai and the gang end up at Luke's. Lorelai tells Luke that her "date" thinks she's too tall. Luke can't believe there's anyone in the world that doesn't think that Lorelai walks on water. Rune ends up leaving which finally gives Luke and Lorelai time to hang out and have some fun, just the two of them. But it doesn't last long when Lane's mother sees Lorelai in the diner and storms in because she was under the impression that Rory and Lane were with Lorelai tonight.

They find Rory & Lane. Busted. Lane is grounded, big time. Lorelai attempts to talk to Mrs. Kim but it doesn't go well. But Lorelai's little talk actually seems to have some effect and Lane is allowed to go out in the front yard and use the phone. Big progress.

Lorelai is running the town rummage sale & Luke drops off some stuff, including a bag of clothes because HE LOVES HERRRRRRR. Sookie runs in holding 4 amazing tickets to The Bangles. Everyone is PUMPED!

At Luke's, Rory teases Luke about having a rummage sale sign in the diner window because HE LOVES HERRRR. But when Lorelai comes in, Luke freaks out on her because she's wearing a jacket that was in the bag he donated. He demands she take it off.

Sookie explains to her that the ugly jacket used to belong to Luke's ex-girlfriend, Rachel. She broke his heart because she wanted to move to the big city and Luke refused to leave Stars Hollow.

Paris and the other two speaking girls at Chilton show up to work on a project. When Lorelai hears that Rory is seemingly having an ok time with these girls, she decides to invite them to go to the Bangles concert with Rory, because friendship.

So they all go, they're having a great time, but the two girls not named Rory or Paris leave with boys. When Lorelai finds out, she's not thrilled. They track 'em down and make them leave. Paris loves it and loves Lorelai. Paris has issues.

The episode ends in Stars Hollow at the rummage sale and Lorelai gives Luke the jacket back and they make up. Just kiss already.

7 years ago, we're in Carbondale, Illinois and it's eclipse time! Malcolm is on top of a hill with his telescope, totally nerding out. His girlfriend isn't nearly as pumped as he is and she heads down the hill to snag some Rocket Dogs. While she's gone, a woman named Kim shows up. She's drawn to his telescope. They start talking and bond over their love of space. Right before the eclipse happens, her boyfriend Blake calls her. He's finally arrived, so she scurries off to meet up with him.

7 years later, Kim is now working for a news station. The person who was gonna go back to Carbondale to cover the eclipse bails so she volunteers to take on the case. Who knows, maybe she'll bump into the hunk from 7 years ago.

And wouldn't you know it, they're both actually there. But somehow they keep missing each other. At a masquerade party, they get to talking but obviously they're rocking masks.

Her first news spot is rocky but goes kind of viral. She ends up getting the invite for her eclipse spot to go national! She's freaking out!

Her camera person and Malcolm's best friend end up meeting and really hitting it off. You'd think that would mean that Malcolm and Kim would end up meeting. Nope. They sure don't. They end up going multiple days without realizing they're both there.

It's the day of the big eclipse and they were able to secure this GIANT scientist to come and be interviewed. When he ends up getting lost, they go and snag Malcolm. Naturally, they don't chat at all until they come face to face live on air. The chemistry is NUTS! After they go off air, they promptly go and chat and kiss and miss the eclipse.

BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

SHIELD is freaking out because they got an energy reading from the Tesseract. They have no idea why, so they're trying to get everyone out. Nick Fury comes in to talk to the scientist and catch up with Clint Barton, aka Hawk Eye, who he's stationed in the corner of the factory just to keep an eye on things.

Suddenly, a laser shoots out and opens up a portal. Loki comes walking out. They tell him to stop and he starts shooting stuff. He pulls Clint under a spell to help him steal the Tesseract.

Nick Fury decides it's time for operation Avengers. So he calls Agent Natasha Romanoff to travel to recruit Dr. Bruce Banner. No one knows gamma radiation like Bruce and that's the key to tracking the Tesseract down.

SHIELD gets to work on getting Steve Rogers & Tony Stark on board.

Loki is mad Thor is king, so he is working with this thing called "The Other" who just wants a bunch of worlds. Loki agrees to help get him the Tesseract which will help him take over worlds and then he'll give Loki Earth.

So Loki goes to Germany so that Clint can steal stuff needed to stabilize the Tesseract. The Avengers show up and Loki surrenders. Movie over. Jk. Thor arrives and frees him, hoping to convince him to abandon his plan and return to Asgard.

Stark and Rogers find them again and Loki is imprisoned in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s flying base. The Avengers argue about how to best handle the Loki situation especially after finding out that their plans for the Tesseract aren't to use it for good. They talk to Fury about it and he tells them they're making weapons to use against aliens.

Needless to say, the Avengers are not doing well. They don't like each other. They argue about everything. And they're being attacked by Loki's baddies, including Clint. This attack makes Bruce very angry and he turns into the Hulk. He chases after Natasha and hits her. Before he can do more damage, Thor shows up. Unfortunately, Loki ends up getting away & sending Thor falling to what might be his death. Loki then escapes after stabbing Agent Coulson.

Fury uses Coulson's death to motivate the Avengers to work together as a team. Loki uses the Tesseract to open a portal above Stark Tower in New York City, allowing his baddies to attack.

The Avengers, as they now call themselves, work together to protect New York.

The Hulk knocks Loki out while Black Widow finds out that Loki's scepter can shut down the Tesseract.

Fury's bosses don't trust the Avengers, so they shoot a missile at New York City. So Iron Man flies to intercept the missile and flies it toward the wormhole. Right when he pushes it through, Black Widow closes the wormhole but Stark is unconscious. The Hulk catches him and the Avengers wake him up.

Thor moves Loki and the Tesseract to Asgard, where Loki will face justice for his crimes.

Richard and Marissa are hanging out in bed, they're having funnnnnn. They're dating and Marissa is like what are we? Richard is like we're having funnnnnn. That's not enough for Marissa. But after he goes to the restroom, his bag falls and a ring pops out! HE'S GOING TO PROPOSE! She's very happy now and now she wants him to come to family Christmas with her in Texas.

We meet more of her family - there's brother Kyle. He's married to Alicia. Alicia and Kyle aren't doing great. Kyle is just always too tired for the fun times.

And then there's Kerry who lives out in LA. She works in real estate, buying up buildings to build new business centers and what not. She finds out that the next purchase she needs to help push forward is actually her parents' church in Texas. She claims it won't be a problem. She gets a call from someone named "DO NOT ANSWER". Whoever is on the other line is shooting his shot and trying to get back with her which she agrees to.

Richard comes over and breaks up with Marissa. She's heartbroken. But off to Texas she goes to be with her family.

And Marissa is shocked when her sister shows up with her boyfriend....RICHARD!!! That's right.

It's an absolute mess. So she called up her gay best friend to have him come and act like her boyfriend to make Richard mad.

We find out that Marissa & Kerry are actually step sisters - Marissa's mom married Kerry's dad shortly after her dad passed away and Marissa has always been pretty mad about it.

One night, Marissa and Richard are able to talk and he promises that when he was with her, he and Kerry were on a break.

Richard is like next in line in his father's doctor practice thing and Kerry is always like you need to go ahead and make that official but Marissa is always like you do what you wanna do.

Well, one night, everything blows up. It comes out that Richard isn't going to follow in his dad's footsteps and Kerry isn't mad and he's like Marissa always supported me. So now everyone knows. And everyone is fighting. While that's happening, Alicia and Kyle are also fighting because she thinks he's cheating on her with a girl who is texting him. Turns out, it's just his therapist checking up on him because he apparently has yet to tell his wife that he has ED. And now the entire family knows. It's a mess.

Ultimately, Richard scrams, the sisters make up, Kerry quits her job because she doesn't want her family to sell the church that brings them so much joy, Alicia and Kyle make up, and everyone has a merry Christmas.

Minnie is in the jam business and it might get better. A hotel wants to stock it, but she only has 5 cans. She needs 500 cans by the morning. Rosemary and Elizabeth insist they help her. And they think the town will want to help!

Lucas and Lee are talking about Fernando being the contractor. Lucas insists he's fine with it. More than fine.

Gowan's son Christopher is freaking out. News is out that the boys didn't start the fire and now the electric company is grilling him. Gowan tells him to go look at the birds.

So he heads out with Nathan to find the transformer. Nathan insists he's not the one who was breaking the law.

The town is all together doing their jam thing. While squishing grapes, Hickam tells Fiona he wants to start a family.

Lucas isn't wearing a vest and Edie really likes it. They're walking and talking when they see a loose horse run by. Edie yells for Fernando to come help!

While walking the path, a car comes driving fast at Nathan and Christopher and Nathan pushes them off the path and down a hill. UH OH!

Rosemary is trying to get info out of Elizabeth and while they're talking, they miss one of the buckets of jam to put sugar in. UH OH!

Lucas thinks he's the one that is going to capture the horse but Fernando swoops in and sings to it.

They realize some of the cans are sour. So they have to find the 40 cans that don't have sugar. They're running out of time!

Nathan gets Chris to the infirmary (which is poppin' today, btw) and Nathan has blood on his side as well.

They fix all the jams but did they do it in time? The Rev is gonna drive fast and find out!

Elizabeth comes to check on Nathan. He's gonna be fine and he's gonna find the people responsible for this, cuz he remembers their license plate!

THE JAM MADE IT IN TIME! They decide they're gonna use the money to buy Bill's half of the cafe, something we all remember he owned.

Lucas isn't feeling very manly, so he goes back to his office, puts his vest back on, and tells Edie he's too busy to hang out. She reminds him her and Fernando are through!

The episode ends with bad news - the license plate belongs to a stolen vehicle that was torched! And to make matters worse, Christopher has fled town. He doesn't wanna help anymore. He scared.

While at work later, Lorelai gets a call from Emily telling her about when the Christmas party is. Lorelai is talking about how she'd be late so Emily tells her not to come at all which is shocking to Lorelai. When Rory goes to leave, she tells her that she's sure Emily didn't mean it and asks her to go but Lorelai isn't budging. After Rory leaves, Lorelai hears a knocking coming from the window in Rory's room. It's Dean. Lorelai and Dean talk about what happened at Miss Patty's and she tells him to knock on the door next time.

While at the party, Richard keeps complaining that it's hot. He goes to turn the air on but doesn't come back to the table.

Lorelai shows up at Luke's, sad that she didn't go to the party because she likes the festive food, so he makes her a Santa burger. But she gets a call - her dad is in the hospital. He collapsed.

Luke shuts the diner down to drive her to the hospital. When she gets there, she finds Emily rushing around, trying to get answers. Lorelai is very uncomfortable seeing her dad in the hospital because things are complicated with her parents.

It turns out that he's going to be fine which is a relief, obviously. The big question now at the hospital is what's going on between Lorelai and Luke. Luke tells Emily it's nothing and she tells him he's stupid. And Emily & Lorelai squash their beef.

With all of that behind us, Lorelai gets back to dating Max Medina. It's going well, they're having fun. But after finding out that Rory is gonna start calling him Max outside of school because she assumes she's going to start seeing him more often because things are going well, Lorelai gets freaked out. She decides it's probably time to break things off because she doesn't want Rory to get attached.

Luckily for her, it's parent day at Chilton. A perfect time for her to break up with Max. She tries but instead, she ends up making out with him. Paris sees this happen and tells EVERYONE! Rory finds out and that leads to an argument. Unfortunately for them, it's time for Friday night dinner and Emily's heard about the kiss too. It's not great.

When Lorelai and Max finally talk about it, Max tells her that he got called into Headmaster Charleston's office and his job is in jeopardy. He thinks it's best that they take a break which Lorelai agrees to but that doesn't stop her from heading back home to cry in her bed as Rory consoles her.

Meet Naomi and Marcus - best friends and co-workers. They're working at this bar but the owner is getting ready to sell it. Naomi and Marcus really don't want it to. Naomi has a plan to save it - mocktails. One day, EJ Cortland comes in. He's a famous romantasy author but no one knows that he's a he. The owner is a big fan and they get to talking. They're hitting it off until suddenly they're not. We find out that Marcus is very cynical about love. But when Naomi walks away, he opens up to this guy about being in love with her. This guy turns out to be a tea boy. Naomi really wants to work tea into a mocktail so he invites them to come to a tasting. When they go to the tasting, the dude gives Marcus a vial of tea that he says will make someone fall in love. Marcus is like wtf. Dude is like it's like how ginger soothes the tummy. Fair enough, guy.

There's this mocktail competition coming up that Marcus' rich uncle gets him and Naomi into.

She decides to make a little something something that night and includes the cupid juice, which she doesn't know about. She gives the drink to a ton of people, including Marcus. When Marcus gets on stage and sings a love song to Naomi. He figures out what happens - he insists to Naomi that he was already in love with her. But they gotta go check on everyone else that got some of the drink. And they are WILDDDDLY in love.

They go and they find the Cupid guy, "Hal". He is disappointed to find out that she didn't drink it, but he does give them the recipe to the antidote.

It takes some time but they're able to figure out what the actual recipe. But they do, and they start giving it to everyone that drank the drink. Some of them fall right out of love, but some of them (who were really in love beforehand) stay in love.

Naomi is really liking this new Marcus. She really doesn't want him to take the antidote. He is like I promise I've loved you.

It's time for the competition AND THEY WIN!!!

Speaking of winning, Marcus' uncle gets married - potion or no potion, my guy is in love. At the reception, Cupid is there and gives Marcus the antidote. It turns out....he wasn't under the spell of the potion at all. It takes two to tango.

Naomi realizes she's in love with him too and sings him a love song too. He tells her that he hasn't been under a spell this entire time.

And the good news keeps coming....their boss is basically giving them the bar. YAY! They celebrate by dancing and kissing.

BRAN'S SYNOPSIS

The movie kicks off with some scientists in the Arctic finding an old aircraft with someone frozen inside along with a circular shield. WHO COULD IT BEEEEEE?

Flash back to March 1942, during World War II. Nazi dude and Hydra leader Johann Schmidt steals a mysterious glowing cube called the Tesseract, which possesses untold godly powers.

In New York City, we meet little Steve Rogers. All Steve wants more than anything is to be in the Army, but he's rejected due to being a tiny boy. Dr. Abraham Erskine overhears Steve talking to his buddy Bucky Barnes about how badly he wants to serve his country, so he allows Rogers to enlist.

What Steve doesn't know is that Dr. Erskine is interested in Steve for something called the "super-soldier" experiment under Erskine, along with British MI6 agent Peggy Carter. Once Steve selflessly jumps on a grenade as part of a test, they know he's their guy. Erskine tells Rogers that Schmidt once took a prototype version of the super-soldier formula that gave him superhuman strength but painfully changed his appearance. So, ya know, keep that in mind.

It's lab time. Steve gets hooked up to this equipment and injected with all sorts of stuff and then put into this chamber. He's yelling and screaming but tells them to keep going. Once over, Steve comes out of the chamber and is frickin' jacked.

Turns out Schmidt sent an assassin to kill Erskine who gets away in a car. But Steve is now a super soldier, so he just races him down by running after him. Before Steve can question him, he kills himself with a cyanide capsule and destroys the formula while he's at it.

Steve doesn't get to super soldier much. Instead, he's sent on a tour as "Captain America" to sing & dance and promote war while scientists study his blood and attempt to reverse-engineer the formula. But when Rogers finds out that Bucky is MIA, he demands to fly behind enemy lines to find him. Turns out it was Schmidt all along. Steve confronts Schmidt. Schmidt's mask is taken off to reveal he is red. I suggest we call him "Red Skull".

Steve, Bucky, and some other freed prisoners form a band...of brothers... called the Howling Commandos. Steve gets a new suit in the process and potentially a new gal 'cause the sparks between him and Peggy Carter are off the charts!

Using information extracted from Zola (Red Skull's little henchman), the final Hydra stronghold is located, and Rogers leads an attack to stop Schmidt from doing all the bad things he wants to do. Right before Steve climbs aboard Schmidt's super-bomber, he and Peggy kiss big ones!

He hops on the plane just before it takes off and they fight. The Tesseract is freed from its container, and Red Skull uses it to open a portal. The Tesseract then burns through the plane and falls into the ocean. Steve knows he has to go after it, so he radios Peggy to say goodbye and then crashes into the Arctic. Everyone assumes Steve Rogers died after they ultimately find the Tesseract on the ocean floor.

Steve wakes up in a 1940s-style hospital room. He hears a radio broadcast of a baseball game that he attended in 1941 and becomes immediately suspicious. So he breaks out of his room and runs into Times Square, blown away by all the screeeens! Nick Fury shows up and tells him that he has been asleep for almost 70 years. In a post-credits scene, we basically get an Avengers trailer. Fury approaches Rogers and proposes a mission with worldwide ramifications.

Nathan and Elizabeth are riding a horse together — they just need some time alone. Nathan has been working nonstop on the fire investigation.

Joseph walks into the church and finds Gowen sitting quietly with his thoughts. Joseph asks what he would do if someone he loved did something really bad — something unforgivable. Gowen is clearly conflicted. Joseph offers some advice and heads out.

Nathan and Bill catch up on the investigation. The concrete hasn’t led to much. Then a new Mountie named Briggs arrives to help — and Georgie and Bill are PUMPED.

Lucas hears Edie downstairs moving tables. He asks her out to dinner, but she’s busy throwing a poker party to raise money for the Bensen Hills rebuilding committee.

Faith stops by the Canfield house with good news — Gwen’s dad is no longer at risk of infection and can have visitors. Gwen wants to go right away, and Lee happily agrees.

Briggs shows up with a fancy new device: a polygraph machine. They hook Ollie up to it for questioning. Nathan says he has one last question — thankfully, it’s not about Allie.

A new contractor arrives in town: Fernando Arroyo. Lucas meets him and immediately takes a liking to him.

Lee and Gwen stop at a gas station on the way to the hospital, but Gwen gets nervous and says she doesn’t want to go anymore. Lee gently agrees and says they can head home instead.

Meanwhile, Gowen meets with his son and tells him he knows about the fire, encouraging him to do the right thing.

Instead of going home, Lee takes Gwen fishing. She opens up about being afraid of hospitals because her mom died in one — she doesn’t want to lose her dad too. Lee reassures her that her dad is just in a cast and will be okay. Then she catches a fish. Win-win.

Georgie and Bill come over to Elizabeth and Nathan’s for dinner — there’s lemon curd. Nathan claims it’s his favorite. Bill immediately calls him out: “YOU LIE.”

They take him to the polygraph machine, and sure enough — he’s lying. Nathan admits he loves the lemon curd because he loves Elizabeth.

Little Jack (LG!) then asks if Nathan wants to marry his mom. Nathan freezes… and before he can answer, Gowen’s son bursts in.

He confesses that he caused the fire — and that the electric company helped cover it up.

At the charity poker night, Edie arrives and sees Fernando. Lucas is stunned to learn Fernando is her ex-fiancé.

Nathan and Bill go to tell the boys they didn’t start the fire after all.

Finally, Nathan apologizes to Elizabeth, tells her he loves her, and asks if that’s okay for now.

She says yes.

BRAN’S Tinsel Town SYNOPSIS

We’re on the set of Killing Time 7. Meet movie star Bradley Mack — and yeah, he’s washed up. There won’t be a Killing Time 8. His agent explains that no one wants to hire him anymore: he’s difficult to work with, doesn’t do his own stunts, and he’s getting older.

The only offer on the table? A theater show in England. He’s never done theater before, but why the heck not? Plus, his daughter lives over there.

He lands in London and is greeted by his driver. On the way to the inn where he’s staying, Brad falls asleep — and wakes up three hours away from London. Turns out the theater isn’t in the city at all. It’s in a tiny town.

And not only that… it’s a weird version of Cinderella. A pantomime.

Brad is furious and wants to quit, but the contract is ironclad. To make matters worse, he now has to stay with an old guy named Albert who works at the theater.

So he sticks it out. He proves he can sing. He proves he can act — very loudly.

What he can’t do? Parent.

When he finds out his daughter will be staying with him for three days, he totally freaks out.

While out with his daughter, they bump into Jillian, the choreographer, who’s there with her daughter, Cara.

As he spends more time with his kid, he actually starts enjoying things — even the performing — despite the cast constantly poking fun at his career. (Apparently that’s just what pantomimes do. It’s not personal!)

Everything is going pretty well… until his ex-wife shows up, publicly calls him out, and takes his daughter back.

Brad spirals. He gets drunk, storms the stage during the Christmas tree lighting, ruins the whole thing, and gets arrested.

The entire troupe shows up to support him and make sure he gets released without serious consequences.

And that’s when he realizes — he loves this group. He wants to show up for them.

They put on the show, and everyone sings everyone’s favorite Christmas song: Roar by Katy Perry.

We start at our first town hall meeting, led by Patty and Taylor. The town meetings are must-see TV. Coming up is the reenactment of the Battle of Stars Hollow, and everyone is completely locked in — except Luke, who just wants to get to actual town issues. It’s a whole thing. Classic Stars Hollow.

The first snow of the season is coming, and Lorelai is pumped. She loves snow and claims she can smell it. She jumps out of bed to listen to a new voicemail from Max Medina.

The next day, Rory is hanging out with Lane before school. Lane is trying to tell her about her crush, but Rory is too distracted by school and Dean to really listen.

The snow starts coming down, so Emily invites Rory to stay the night at her grandparents’ house.

Back in Stars Hollow, Lorelai is out enjoying the snow when she bumps into Max Medina, whose car has broken down in town. His bad luck turns into good luck because they finally get to go on that date.

Meanwhile, Lane is losing her mind and touches her crush’s hair. She runs to the Gilmore house to tell Rory, only to find Rory isn’t there. She calls to complain about her best friend never being around — and then the phones go dead.

Lorelai and Max grab burgers, go to a movie, and end up kissing!

On the walk home, Luke sees the two of them together while he’s out helping the freezing reenactors. Now Luke is sad.

Lorelai and Max end up back at her place and are about to hook up when Lane walks out of Rory’s room needing someone to talk to. Lorelai lets Lane crash at the house, which means no fun times — so Max ends up sleeping on the couch.

Rory shows up early the next morning, and Lorelai rushes to tell her about Max before she walks in. Rory is struggling with it, especially after spending the night at her grandparents’ house where she finds a photo strip of her mom and dad together.

At the next Friday night dinner, Lorelai learns about the Chilton Formal. Emily insists Rory is going. Rory isn’t so sure at first, but on the way home she decides she wants to go. She asks Dean, who isn’t thrilled because he’s “not a joiner,” but eventually agrees when he realizes how much it means to her.

Emily is shocked to find out Lorelai is making Rory’s dress — which she hates.

Tristan asks Rory to the dance and Rory is like, absolutely not.

Lorelai throws out her back while working on the dress, but finishes it anyway.

On dance night, Emily shows up to take pictures and ends up insisting she stay to take care of Lorelai when she realizes her back is hurt.

Rory and Dean arrive at the dance and it’s a whole thing. Paris is there with her cousin, who hits on Rory. Tristan picks a fight with Dean, and Dean threatens to kill him — and honestly, everyone loves it.

Afterward, Rory and Dean are walking back through town and naturally fall asleep at Miss Patty’s dance studio.

Emily wakes Lorelai up in a panic, convinced Rory is going to end up pregnant, and they get into a massive fight. After kicking Emily out, Lorelai freaks out when Rory finally shows up and tells her she’s putting her on the pill. Rory apologizes, but also points out that Lorelai is only this mad because Emily was there to see everything.

Emma is hanging out with Leo, her friend (and ex-boyfriend). She’s a gallerist and he’s an artist — tale as old as time.

We then meet Conrad, who’s talking with a co-worker about love. Both Emma and Conrad are single and ready to mingle. Emma’s sister encourages her to get out of her comfort zone when it comes to dating, and she comes up with an idea: hop on the subway to the financial district during the morning commute to meet a “man in finance.”

So Emma wakes up early to catch the train. And who else is up early and hopping on the subway? Conrad.

While walking toward the platform, Conrad finds a book on the floor. He tracks down the woman who dropped it — and it’s not Emma, it’s someone else. But sparks are sparking. When she walks away, he decides to go after her. They talk on the train and it’s going great.

Emma is also on the train when coffee gets spilled on her. Then the train suddenly stops — it’s a blackout! Emma and coffee guy are hitting it off. Conrad and book girl are hitting it off. It’s meant to be!

The next day, Conrad can’t stop thinking about the girl from the train, so he puts an ad in the paper asking to meet his missed connection.

Emma sees it and thinks it might be about her, so she shows up — only to realize it’s not coffee guy. She’s bummed, but agrees to help Conrad find the mystery girl.

As they start hanging out more, the sparks obviously begin between the two of them — even though they’re supposed to be helping each other find their missed connections. When Conrad finds out Emma wants to meet a man in finance, he introduces her to his co-worker. He’s fine… but he’s not Conrad.

One night while they’re out for drinks with her sisters and brother-in-law, Emma spots the train girl. She recognizes her because of the unique ring she’s wearing. Reluctantly, Emma tells Conrad — even though she clearly wants to be with him.

The girl’s name is Simone, and she and Conrad start dating.

Emma starts giving the co-worker more of a chance, and they all end up at a work gathering together — Emma with the co-worker, Conrad with Simone. That’s when Emma realizes she only wants to be with Conrad. And Conrad starts realizing he’s only into Emma.

Conrad is about to leave for Tokyo for six months and wants to text Emma, but isn’t sure what to say. He starts typing “I miss you,” but only gets as far as “I miss” before his ride shows up — and he accidentally sends it.

Emma decides to just call him when he pulls up. She tells him she likes him. He tells her he likes her too. They kiss.

And then she agrees to go to Tokyo with him.

Naturally, the movie ends with more kissing.

BRAN’S THOR SYNOPSIS

Three scientists — Jane Foster, Erik Selvig, and Darcy Lewis — are driving a van through the desert when they witness a lightning storm forming. Jane isn’t surprised, though, because she believes she can predict the appearance of wormholes. Suddenly, the van hits a man. He’s hot. And breathing.

We’re then given some historical context. In 965 AD, the Frost Giants invaded Earth in Norway, using the Tesseract in hopes of taking over the planet. Luckily, the Asgardians showed up, forced the Frost Giants to retreat, and took the Tesseract with them.

We learn that Odin is telling this story to his two sons — one blond, one dark-haired — explaining that both are worthy, but only one can be king. A classic way to pit two brothers against each other. That always ends well!

Flash forward to present day: Asgard is pumped because blond-headed Thor is about to be crowned king. And wouldn’t you know it — Loki is insanely jealous.

Before Thor can be crowned, the Frost Giants break into the vault that houses the Casket of Ancient Winters. Thor loses it. He flips a giant table and demands retaliation. Odin says no and reminds him that he is not king yet.

Thor says “heard that” and immediately travels through a portal to confront the Frost Giants himself. A fight breaks out. Loki discovers that the Frost Giants can’t harm him — his skin even turns blue like theirs. Odin shows up, stops the battle, apologizes to the Frost Giant king, and brings everyone home.

Odin is furious with Thor. He strips him of his powers and banishes him to Earth, where he crash-lands in the desert and gets hit by a car — bringing us back to the beginning.

Thor wakes up acting completely unhinged (by Earth standards), so the locals tase him and take him to the hospital. He escapes, only for Jane to hit him with her car again. They start spending time together and discover a mysterious “satellite crash.” Thor immediately knows it’s his hammer.

Unfortunately, the area is now under government control. Thor still tries to retrieve the hammer, but fails — he can’t lift it.

Back in Asgard, Thor’s friends suspect Loki has been up to no good. Loki confronts Odin and learns the truth: he isn’t Asgardian at all, but a Frost Giant taken as a baby and raised by Odin. Loki does not take this well, yells at Odin, and the stress sends Odin into a deep magical sleep. Loki is now acting king.

Loki travels to Earth and lies to Thor, claiming Odin is dead and Thor can never return to Asgard. Thor tells Jane the truth about who he is — and she handles it shockingly well.

We then learn it was Loki who secretly let the Frost Giants into Asgard earlier, setting everything in motion. Loki makes a deal with them: they can return to Asgard to kill Odin and reclaim the Casket, and in return they’ll leave peacefully.

Loki sends the Destroyer — a giant murder robot — to Earth to kill Thor. Thor helps evacuate civilians and then confronts the Destroyer, offering his life in exchange for the humans’ safety while Loki watches from Asgard.

The Destroyer responds by basically killing him.

But Thor’s selfless sacrifice proves he is worthy. His hammer flies out of the ground straight into his hand, restoring his powers and armor. Thor defeats the Destroyer and tries to return to Asgard, promising Jane he’ll come back for her.

Thor confronts Loki, and they battle on the Bifrost bridge. The bridge collapses, Odin saves Thor, and Loki — clinging to Odin’s staff — finally lets go and falls into the void.

Dead???

All is well in Asgard, but not in Thor’s heart, because he misses Jane. Don’t worry though — she’s got a new lab and is determined to find him again.

In the post-credits scene, Erik Selvig is brought to a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility where Nick Fury reveals a mysterious glowing cube and asks Selvig to study it. We then see Loki secretly influencing Selvig’s mind.

Nothing ominous about that at all.

Lee shows Gwen his plans to rebuild Benson Hills. Rosemary bought Gwen a pair of overalls—and she actually loves them.

Nathan notices how much time Allie is spending with Ollie, and he is not thrilled about it.

Gowen is talking with his son, who has great news: he got a promotion at the electric company. He also asks Gowen to give the father-of-the-groom toast at his wedding, which makes Gowen incredibly happy.

Cooper and Toby show up late to class without their assignment done—and their shoes are covered in dirt. What are those boys up to?

Lee makes his pitch to the council about rebuilding Benson Hills, and it goes really well.

Later, Lee and Nathan check out the fire pit in the woods that may have started the wildfire when Ollie suddenly finds a fossil. He’s pumped. Bill is even more pumped.

But they also find some cement nearby. Could that mean something? They bring Gowen in to take a look, and he brushes it off as probably nothing.

Elizabeth sees the boys heading into the woods with gear, so she follows them. Turns out, they’re planting trees—trying to make things right after the fire. Elizabeth joins in to help.

Nathan is in full grumpy dad mode this episode because of how much time Allie and Ollie are spending together. When he catches them talking during work hours, he lectures Ollie about responsibility and being worthy…of a job.

Lee comes home with great news—he got the contract to rebuild! Gwen gives him a drawing of her old house and asks him to rebuild it exactly as it was, cracked window and all.

Allie, Ollie, and Bill head back into the woods to dig for fossils, which makes Allie late for dinner. Nathan snaps at her, immediately regrets it, and goes to talk things through with Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, Lee is showing Rosemary more building plans when he suddenly drops his pencil and doesn’t feel right. She rushes him to see Faith.

Nathan and Allie make up, and Allie’s like, “I don’t know why you think I’m in love with Ollie.”

At school the next day, Elizabeth sends all the kids outside to plant trees—for the lesson, of course.

At the doctor’s office, Lee is relieved to learn he didn’t have a heart attack. Faith thinks it was an anxiety attack and tells him he needs to slow down. Apparently having 100 jobs isn’t great for your health.

So Lee decides his version of “rest” will be helping plant a ton of trees.

The episode ends with Gowen noticing his son packing up in a hurry. He claims he has a meeting—but Gowen spots cement in the trunk of his car.

Welcome to Another Cup with Liza Brown, the cooking show everyone absolutely loves. Today’s guest is Joy Edwards. Liza brings up Joy’s country home, Goose Lane, and shows photos of it to the audience—who completely lose their minds.

Joy plates a dish on the show, and during the commercial break her agent, Josh, comes over. Joy admits she’s over all of this fame. This is her last book—after this, she wants a real life.

After the show, she heads out to her car and is greeted by her chauffeur, Max. They’re super close—basically best friends. He’s even staying at her house, and she’s named her fake TV husband after him to keep the spotlight away from her real life. Joy wants absolutely nothing to do with fame anymore.

But then…bad news. Liza Brown announces that they’re taking the show to Goose Lane for a live Christmas Eve special. Joy panics. WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO?!

Her solution? She asks Max to pretend to be her husband. He agrees, and she recruits a few other people to play the rest of her “family.” They start doing fake family stuff—decorating for Christmas, having snowball fights, the whole thing. Naturally, Joy and Max grow super close and almost kiss…until the kids interrupt. Get used to it.

When Liza and the crew arrive, everything goes perfectly—until it doesn’t. The ping-pong table they’re using as a dinner table collapses, the kids’ real parents show up totally confused, and the whole fake family is exposed.

Joy tries to save it by claiming it’s a blended family, but no one’s buying it. Everything is falling apart—and this is when Max finally confesses his feelings for her. Joy says it’s not the right time, which breaks his heart, and he leaves.

And yes…all of this happens on live TV.

Joy runs after him, but he’s already driven away. She goes back inside and tells the audience the truth—that the whole thing was a lie and she’s been pretending this whole time.

The next day is Christmas, and her publisher shows up with great news: online sales are through the roof. If Joy wants to write another book—this time telling the truth—they want to publish it.

Joy tracks down Max, tells him how she really feels, and they kiss big ones.

When Rory arrives, she’s less than thrilled to discover it’s basically just a Chilton social event. Paris is there. Jerk-face Tristan is there. And Rory is absolutely miserable. Emily keeps pushing Rory to make the rounds and socialize, but Rory finally snaps and asks her to leave her alone—which really hurts Emily’s feelings.

Lorelai goes to comfort Rory in her old childhood bedroom, and they bond over the pressure Emily always puts on them.

On their way out, Rory apologizes to Emily and invites her to the Stars Hollow party the next night. Emily responds coldly, which leads to a huge argument between Lorelai and Emily about what it really means to love someone without expectations or pressure.

The next night, it’s party time in Stars Hollow! The whole town shows up—and everyone is shocked when Emily and Richard arrive too. It quickly becomes clear that Emily doesn’t really know Lorelai’s life at all.

Dean shows up and gives Rory a gift, and they hold hands while Lorelai watches nervously.

Things escalate quickly when Rory runs into Dean at the grocery store and THEY KISS. She rushes off to tell Lane, but decides not to tell Lorelai yet—she wants to talk it through first.

Unfortunately, Lorelai finds out about the kiss from Lane’s mom. So she tries to play it cool and wait for Rory to tell her herself… but she can’t hold it in. When Rory gets home, Lorelai casually brings it up, pretends everything is fine, and immediately drags Rory back to the store to see Dean.

Even worse—Lorelai invites Dean over for movie night. Rory is MORTIFIED, but there’s no escaping it now.

When Dean arrives, they start the movie, and Lorelai awkwardly sits in the kitchen. Rory panics and begs her mom to come back into the room. While Rory is in the bathroom, Lorelai low-key threatens Dean about hurting her daughter.

On his way out, Rory and Dean kiss again.

BRAN’S MISSING THE BOAT SYNOPSIS

Welcome to the Port of Rome, Italy. Kelly boards the cruise ship, happy as can be. Already on board, we meet Parker and his sister, Emily. Parker is there on business with his boss, Adam—whom he absolutely hates. He works for Crandall Cruise Lines, which is potentially merging with a much larger company.

Kelly is also there for work. She represents that larger company and is onboard to inspect the cruise and report any issues she finds.

She bumps into Parker, and they immediately hit it off. When the ship docks in Palermo, they decide to spend the day together and actually have some fun. They go on a donkey ride, but the donkeys wander off and leave them stranded. When the van meant to take them back to the ship won’t start, they realize they’re running late… and they miss the boat. OH NO.

They try to rent a car, but none are available, so they rush to catch a train. Things are going well until, in the middle of the night, the train workers go on strike. Kelly gives an impassioned speech about how Parker missing the ship would be disastrous, and somehow it works. They reach the port—only to discover that a massive storm has forced the cruise ship to relocate.

They end up staying at one of Crandall’s hotels, where they spend a wonderful evening drinking wine and talking about life. Meanwhile, Parker’s boss tells him to do everything he can to keep Kelly off the ship—he’s discovered who she is and why she’s really there.

Parker can’t bring himself to do it. Even though he’s forgotten his passport in the hotel room, he sends Kelly ahead in a taxi. But she can’t leave without him. She comes back for Parker, and they finally kiss.

They take a tiny boat, then a scooter, and eventually make it back to the ship. When they arrive, Parker’s boss apologizes to Kelly for making Parker stall—something she didn’t even realize had happened. To make matters worse, Kelly’s own boss fires her, and she blames Parker for the whole thing. He insists he never actually stalled, but it’s too late.

Parker confronts his boss, who apologizes, so… small win.

Later, Kelly looks through photos of the two of them and realizes Parker was telling the truth all along. She goes to find him, they make up, and she’s brought into the merger pitch after all. Just as the deal is about to be signed, the company owner backs out, admitting he actually loves cruising and doesn’t want to sell.

Parker and Kelly celebrate with a kiss.

BRAN’S IRON MAN 2 SYNOPSIS

The movie kicks off in Russia, where news has spread that Tony Stark is Iron Man. We meet Ivan Vanko, who is attempting to build an arc reactor like the one keeping Tony alive. His father, Anton Vanko, helped create the original arc reactor prototype alongside Tony’s dad, Howard Stark.

Six months later, Stark is constantly bragging that his Iron Man armor is helping maintain world peace. He’s summoned to a government hearing where officials demand that he turn over the Iron Man technology. Tony’s rival, Justin Hammer—now the military’s main defense contractor—is also there. Hammer presents evidence showing that foreign nations are close to developing their own versions of Iron Man suits. Stark refuses to hand over the technology, insisting that other countries and competitors (including Hammer Industries) are decades away from recreating his work and that the armor is his personal property.

Meanwhile, the core in the arc reactor that keeps Stark alive and powers the armor is slowly poisoning him. Believing he’s running out of time, Tony suddenly names Pepper Potts the new CEO of Stark Industries and hires someone named Natasha Rushman as her replacement.

After discovering he’s more than 50% poisoned, Stark impulsively decides to drive in a Formula 1 race. Mid-race, Vanko shows up and attacks Tony with electrified whip weapons. The fight is intense, but Tony uses the Iron Man suit to defeat Vanko, who is arrested. However, Justin Hammer has Vanko’s death faked and breaks him out of prison, recruiting him to help take Stark down.

Feeling overwhelmed by his impending death, Tony throws himself a birthday party and gets completely wasted while wearing the Iron Man suit, showing off party tricks to random guests. His friend, Colonel James Rhodes, shows up to intervene. Rhodes puts on Stark’s Mark II armor, fights Tony, and ultimately delivers the suit to the military.

Feeling sorry for himself, Tony sulks while eating donuts inside a giant donut. Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D., arrives and asks to talk. He reveals that “Natasha Rushman” is actually undercover agent Natasha Romanoff. She injects Tony with something that will temporarily keep him alive longer. Fury also reveals that Howard Stark was a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D., whom Fury knew personally.

Fury gives Tony some of his father’s old materials, including a hidden message embedded in a model of the 1974 Stark Expo. Tony realizes the model contains a diagram for a brand-new element. With J.A.R.V.I.S.’s help, he successfully synthesizes it, curing himself and upgrading his arc reactor.

Meanwhile, Vanko refuses to build traditional combat suits for Hammer, instead creating a fleet of armored drones. Hammer, annoyed but desperate, rolls with the idea and plans to debut them at the Stark Expo.

Vanko contacts Stark, revealing that he’s still alive and promising revenge. With his new element untested in real combat, Tony suits up anyway and prepares for whatever comes next.

The boys tell Nathan and Bill about the stew situation. They ask for the location and whether either of them actually saw the fire start. The boys say no and apologize.

Bill tells the parents that, as the adults, they might be liable for the damages and encourages them to get a lawyer.

Lucas tries to patch things up with Edie, but she’s not interested. She tells him he’s just like every other politician.

Allie finds out that Ollie is turning 18 and is shocked. There’s so much to do!

Nathan and Bill decide it’s time to bring McGinty in for questioning.

Things are much better on the Gwen front. After Gwen leaves to take Goldie to daycare, Lee tells Rosemary that he wants to turn Culture Lumber into Culture Construction.

Bill and Nathan interview McGinty. They ask, “Did you carry a can into the forest?” He says yes… because he had to bury his cat, Mr. Mittens. He put him in the can to protect him from wildlife.

Allie tells Elizabeth she’s planning a surprise party for Ollie and is thinking circus-themed. Elizabeth immediately says that’s stupid. Naturally, Allie asks Elizabeth to help plan it anyway, and now we’ve got ourselves a party-planning episode.

Allie goes to invite Toby to the party. He’s like, “No… I’M A CRIMINAL!”

Lee finds out about Mr. Mittens and does not feel bad at all about accusing McGinty.

Minnie and the Reverend are nervous. Word is getting out about the kids. They need a lawyer but can’t afford both legal fees and Angela’s schooling.

There’s a town hall meeting about the fire investigation, and it does not go well. But Elizabeth gives a speech about how maybe everything was just an accident and how Benson Hills residents are now part of the Hope Valley community. Everyone loves it.

Lee overhears McGinty on a call with his bank — no loan. McGinty tells Lee he hopes he’s happy. Lee actually feels bad… but not bad enough to apologize.

Lucas announces that he’s running for reelection. He promises Benson Hills will be rebuilt within a year. Rosemary asks how — higher taxes? Lucas says possibly. He could lie and say no, but instead he promises to do whatever it takes to get the community back on its feet. Edie loves it.

It’s party time. Ollie is very surprised, and he loves it. It’s almost perfect, but Toby and Cooper aren’t there. Ollie goes to find them. They show up, Ollie gives a speech, and then Toby and Cooper confess that they started the fire. Mazie helps them feel better by admitting she made mistakes when she was a kid too.

The episode ends with Lee and Rosemary bringing McGinty an apology. They offer to build him a new cabin — not as charity, but as a model home for prospective clients. They also bring him a new kitten.

All is, once again, right in Hope Valley.

BRAN’S VERY MERRY MYSTERY SYNOPSIS

Welcome to Queen Bea Beauty—Bea is the owner, and everyone in town loves her. It’s two days until Christmas, and she’s chatting with her friends about the town Grinch, Mrs. Burton. Apparently, Mrs. Burton is throwing a Christmas party to make amends with all her enemies. Bea is invited, even though she never actually had a falling-out with her.

First, Bea helps out with a Christmas scavenger hunt. She’s surprised when her boyfriend, Detective Troy, shows up—but he’s on duty. There’s definitely some tension between the two of them.

The next day, it’s party time. The event is carol-themed, so everyone has to dress in Victorian-era costumes. Of course, it’s also a murder mystery party. Each guest is given a character card with lines they’re supposed to say. Suddenly, the fire goes out and the lights go dark. When everything comes back on, Mrs. Burton is nowhere to be found, and Des—who’s playing the maid—is lying on the floor with the Christmas tree on top of her. Thankfully, she’s fine. A guy named Calvin accidentally pushed her when he got scared.

At first, everyone assumes Mrs. Burton’s disappearance is just part of the game. But then they find a ransom note, and it becomes clear this might actually be real. Bea is known for being good at mysteries, so everyone looks to her to figure it out. Naturally, Detective Troy officially joins the case.

They question everyone but don’t get any closer to solving it. They discover there’s a secret passageway, but Mrs. Burton is still nowhere to be found.

Thanks to Bea’s keen observation skills, she starts to suspect the doctor and his wife who are attending the party. Eventually, they find Mrs. Burton in a shed outside—completely unharmed. Weird, right?

Bea believes the doctor has been having an affair with Mrs. Burton, so she accuses him, and Troy arrests him.

But something doesn’t quite add up. When Bea notices a photo in the newspaper showing what looks like bruising on the wife’s wrist, everything clicks. It wasn’t the doctor—it was his wife. She discovered the affair and “kidnapped” Mrs. Burton, hoping to force her husband to wire money so she could leave him. The plan didn’t work, but she confesses and is arrested.

Bea and Troy have a heartfelt moment and end up spending Christmas together.

BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 1 EPISODE 4 & 5) SYNOPSIS

Rory is excited to get her first paper back from English class and is shocked to find out she got a D. Paris and her groupies give her a hard time. Meanwhile, at the Independence Inn, a review of Sookie’s dinner comes out! It’s a great review, but Sookie isn’t thrilled with the “less than perfect” parts.

Lorelai is bummed by how hard Rory has suddenly been studying, but it all makes sense when Lorelai goes to a meeting for Rory’s AP Lit class and is told by hot teacher Max Medina that Rory got a D. Lorelai goes home fully committed to helping Rory with her studies, and the two stay up all night studying.

But when they wake up… THEY OVERSLEPT.

Rory rushes off to school but ends up getting hit by a deer. By the time she arrives, she’s extremely late. She freaks out when she’s told she’s not allowed to take the test because of it. Lorelai goes to talk to the headmaster and absolutely loses it, while Max is there watching the whole thing and loving every second.

Max later calls and leaves Rory a voicemail explaining ways she can bring her grade up, and also tells Lorelai it was nice seeing her again. That’s why, when they bump into each other later, he shoots his shot and asks Lorelai out. Lorelai says it’s a bad idea… but mentions that she’ll be at a coffee shop at 4:12 if he happens to be there.

Rory bumps into Dean and is extremely nervous around him.

At the coffee shop, Max makes his pitch for why they should go on a date, and Lorelai gives in.

Bad news, guys — Cinnamon, Babette’s cat (and the Gilmores’ neighbor), has passed away. Obviously, they have to throw a wake for the cat, which causes Lorelai to lose track of time and forget about her date. Max shows up anyway, and that’s how Rory finds out her mom was planning to go out with her teacher.

Rory goes off for some pouty-pouty time, and Dean shows up and says, “I notice you run away every time I’m around, so clearly you’re not interested.” Rory finally admits, “I am interested!”

She goes back to talk to her mom, and the two make up.

The movie starts with a MEET CUTE!!!! Annie bumps into Jake. Jake bumps into Annie. It’s nothing… except it’s everything.

Annie has just arrived in Malta on a little journey of self-discovery. She’s staying at a hotel that’s basically a full-body detox: no coffee, no caffeine, no alcohol, no fun. Annie and Jake keep catching each other’s eye, and sparks are definitely flying.

She notices Jake taking photos and helps him figure out the right lens. But what is he taking pictures of? Well—plot twist—he’s undercover! A very expensive necklace was stolen from a museum, and Jake got a tip that a buyer would be at this hotel sometime this week. That’s why he’s there. The big question: who has the necklace?

Jake becomes suspicious of Annie because she’s too kind… and because she’s staying in a room booked under another name. Still, they start hanging out, and Annie eventually discovers that he’s undercover. Naturally, she insists on helping with the investigation and throws herself fully into it.

They almost kiss—but the moment is ruined when someone nearby causes a scene.

They start suspecting one particular guy is the jewel thief. While Annie is out exploring, she sees him making what looks like a shady deal. She hops onto a boat to follow him, and Jake chases after her, jumping straight into the water. He catches up—only to discover it was just a boat sale. Jake tells Annie she has to stop trying to help before she gets herself in real trouble.

Annie’s friend shows up, and they hang out, with Annie admitting how much she likes Jake. Later, everyone ends up at a party, where Annie and Jake reconnect—and finally identify the real bad guy.

They catch him… and celebrate with a kiss.

BRAN’S THE INCREDIBLE HULK SYNOPSIS

The movie kicks off with a quick montage explaining how Bruce Banner became the Hulk. You know the deal. The military, however, is very interested in finding him because… he’s extremely dangerous.

Five years later, Bruce is living in Brazil, lying low. He’s doing breathing exercises to keep his heart rate down and working at a bottling factory. He’s also desperately searching for a cure for his Hulk-ness, secretly chatting online with someone named Mr. Blue.

One day at work, Bruce cuts his finger, and a drop of his blood falls into one of the bottles. That bottle eventually makes its way to the U.S., where it causes serious problems for the guy who drinks it. Using this contaminated bottle, the military tracks Banner’s location. A strike team led by Emil Blonsky is sent in to capture him.

Bruce transforms into the Hulk and completely wrecks Blonsky’s team. Blonsky, instead of being terrified, is impressed and immediately wants that power for himself. He agrees to be injected with a small dose of a super-soldier serum connected to the original Hulk experiment. Surely nothing bad will happen.

Bruce returns to the States to grab some of his old research and reunites with his former girlfriend, Betty Ross. Blonsky attacks again, and when Betty is put in danger, Bruce transforms into the Hulk. Hulk fights off the military—including Blonsky—and escapes with Betty.

Now officially on the run together, Bruce contacts Mr. Blue, who urges them to meet in New York City.

Mr. Blue turns out to be Dr. Samuel Sterns, a cellular biologist who claims he’s developed a possible antidote. They test it—and it actually works. But Sterns reveals he’s also been stockpiling Bruce’s blood samples, believing its “limitless potential” could revolutionize medicine now that a cure exists.

Bruce immediately points out that this is a terrible idea because the military is absolutely going to weaponize it. (Did we learn nothing from Iron Man?)

Right on cue, Blonsky and the military arrive, capture Banner, and take him away. Blonsky stays behind and forces Sterns to inject him with Banner’s blood. Sterns warns him that combining the serum with the radiation already in his body could turn him into something far worse—an Abomination.

Blonsky hears the name and says, “Cool. Do it.”

Blonsky mutates into a massive, rage-filled monster even bigger and stronger than the Hulk and immediately starts destroying Harlem.

Bruce realizes he has to stop him. He jumps from a helicopter, transforms mid-fall, and the Hulk takes on Abomination in an extended, brutal battle across the city. Hulk ultimately defeats him by choking him with a massive chain, stopping only when Betty begs him not to kill Blonsky.

After a quiet moment with Betty, Hulk flees the scene and disappears.

One month later, Bruce is in Bella Coola, British Columbia. Instead of trying to suppress the Hulk, he’s learning to transform on purpose. As his eyes turn green, Bruce smiles.

Meet Claire Clauster. She believes it’s time someone finally makes a movie about the real heroes of the holiday season: housewives. All she wants for Christmas is for her kids to submit her to the Zazzy Tims Holiday Moms Contest, so she can meet her favorite TV personality.

Claire and her husband, Nick, are excited because all three of their kids—Channing, Taylor, and Sammy—are coming home for Christmas. Channing arrives first with her family. Sammy shows up next, heartbroken after his girlfriend dumped him right before the trip. Taylor arrives last… with her new girlfriend, DJ Sweatpants.

We also meet Claire’s neighbor, Jeanne, who appears to have the perfect family and is extremely prim and proper.

Claire grows increasingly sad when she realizes none of her kids seem to have picked up on her very obvious hints (and direct requests) to submit her for the Zazzy contest. When the whole family leaves without her to attend a Christmas show, she snaps. Claire packs up and decides to drive to California to find Zazzy herself.

This sparks an all-out family meltdown. Arguments explode, feelings get hurt, and everyone storms off in different directions.

Claire ends up at a hotel where only one room is available. Another woman arrives at the same time, so they agree to share—but the noise is unbearable. Claire opts to sleep in her car… which promptly gets towed. Undeterred, she buys a random car for $300 and continues her journey to California.

Against all odds, Claire sneaks onto the show with the winning moms, dances with Zazzy on stage, and vents about her kids on national television. Zazzy loves her and invites Claire backstage. They drink, they smoke, and they have the time of their lives.

Seeing this, the family hops on a plane to California, and Zazzy invites the entire family onto the show. At first, Claire refuses to forgive them—but eventually, she gives in.

One year later, the family is spending Christmas together in a cabin. The neighbors across the street are there too, because Sammy is now in love with one of their daughters.

Lorelai is doing Rory’s nails. Why? Because tomorrow is Rory’s first day at Chilton! Nothing can ruin this.
Except… sleeping in.

Rory wakes Lorelai up at 7:10, and they are up against it. The only clean thing Lorelai has to wear is her Dukes of Hazzard look—and she has to go inside and meet the headmaster. Naturally, it takes about two minutes for a dad to hit on her. When they finally make it to Headmaster Charleston’s office, Emily is already there waiting. She insists Lorelai take off her jacket, and Lorelai immediately regrets it.

Lorelai heads back to Stars Hollow, where everyone is shocked by what she wore to Rory’s first day of school.

Meanwhile, Rory’s first day is off to a rocky start. The classes are hard, she’s greeted very coldly by a girl named Paris, and she’s aggressively hit on by a dude named Tristan.

Back at the Inn, Lorelai is stunned to see the Chilton dad again—he’s shown up to ask her out. She shuts it down immediately; dating a Chilton dad would be way too complicated.

While trying to open her locker, Rory accidentally bumps into Paris, who’s carrying a project for their next class. The teacher tells Rory she has to help Paris, but Paris flat-out refuses. Starting to think maybe Paris doesn’t like Rory.

Lorelai gets a call from her neighbor Babette saying someone is at her house installing internet. Lorelai did not order internet. Turns out Emily did. Lorelai tracks her down and tells her that paying for Rory’s school does not give her the right to meddle.

After school, Lorelai and Rory walk through Stars Hollow, and Lorelai asks Rory if she thinks Luke is cute. Rory says Lorelai can’t date Luke because his food is too good—and a breakup would ruin everything.

It’s time for another Friday night dinner. Emily and Richard tell Rory she should join Richard at the club to golf. Lorelai is not thrilled that they blindsided Rory, because of course Rory wouldn’t say no to her grandfather. Things start off awkward, but they end up having a really great time. Rory learns more about Richard, and Richard learns more about his granddaughter.

Later, Lorelai is shocked to find out Rory actually had fun. To make matters worse, Richard calls Rory the next day. When Lorelai floats the idea of skipping Friday night dinner, Rory says she doesn’t want to. Lorelai is clearly bothered by Rory growing closer to her grandparents and picks a fight over Rory borrowing her sweater without asking.

They make up, and Lorelai explains that just because she doesn’t have a good relationship with Richard and Emily doesn’t mean Rory can’t.

When they arrive at Friday night dinner, Richard and Emily are thrilled to see Rory—once again making Lorelai feel left out.

It’s the first day of school, but the classroom just isn’t ready. Nathan shows up with flowers for Elizabeth and encourages her, though she wonders if it might be too soon for these new kids to be back in school at all.

Speaking of new kids, Gwen is not thrilled about school—and even less thrilled that Rosemary is trying to dress her in ugly, scratchy outfits.

Edie talks with Lucas about needing a place to stay and casually starts doing jumping jacks. Lucas is enjoying every second of it.

At school, there’s a new kid named Rupert who is a total nerd and absolutely not interested in putting up with Allie’s nonsense. Unfortunately for both of them, they’re clearly the two smartest kids in the class. Competition incoming.

The day starts off slowly, so Elizabeth encourages the Hope Valley kids to get to know the Benson Hills kids. Instead, the Benson Hills kids immediately start talking about how much they hate it in Hope Valley.

Molly thinks she saw someone carrying something into the woods before the fire. Lee is convinced it was McGinty. Bill and Nathan want to handle things by the book, but Lee is frustrated that they aren’t arresting McGinty without proof. Honestly, he should move to America.

Allie tries to talk to Ollie about Julius Caesar, but the guy could not care less.

Later, Lee spots McGinty having a drink at the saloon and confronts him with the accusations. McGinty refuses to engage and storms out. Lee follows, bumps into him, and McGinty falls—leading to Lee getting arrested.

Elizabeth catches Oliver reading Julius Caesar. He explains that he wants to talk to Allie about it, so Elizabeth hands him The Grapes of Wrath instead. You know, something a little more contemporary.

Elizabeth decides to make the next school day a fun one, complete with an obstacle course. She notices Toby and Cooper are moping, and they explain they’re dealing with something like survivor’s guilt.

Lee gets home from jail and ends up bonding with Gwen. She’s really starting to warm up to him.

Edie gets angry with Lucas when he skips a meeting with wildfire victims after getting talked into attending a fancy dinner with a hotshot dealmaker instead.

The episode ends with Toby and Cooper finally opening up to Elizabeth. They confess that they started a fire to make stew and thought they put it out properly—but what if they didn’t? They’re terrified. Elizabeth promises them they’re not alone.

Claire is house-sitting for her sister while she’s in the Amazon for work when a letter arrives saying her sister has been accepted for a fellowship, but she needs to sign it by the end of next week. With no way to contact her, Claire decides the only option is to deliver it herself.

She hops on a plane and hires a riverboat captain named Danny to take her to her sister, but Danny says the location is too remote. Undeterred, Claire joins the next excursion headed in the right direction, planning to figure it out as she goes. Unfortunately, it’s going to take way too long. She tries hiring other guides, but no one wants to go that far into the jungle.

Eventually, she runs into Danny again, and he gives in once he realizes who her sister is. They actually know each other. So off they go.

Along the way, they stop in different villages. At first, the crew isn’t thrilled with Claire, but eventually they warm up to her and basically let her join the team. They get as far as they can by boat and then have to continue on foot through the jungle. During the trek, Claire panics, thinking she hears her sister calling out to her, but it turns out to just be the “tree of Chucky.” Classic jungle moment.

After a long journey, she finally finds her sister. She delivers the paperwork, and the sisters start talking about Danny. Claire insists she could never be with him—unfortunately, Danny overhears this and is clearly hurt.

That night, there’s dancing. Instead of asking Claire to stay, Danny says he’s leaving and peaces out. Claire’s sister talks some sense into her and convinces her not to let him go. Claire hops into a small boat, chases down the bigger one, and tells Danny she’s staying in the Amazon.

They kiss.

We meet playboy Tony Stark. He’s in the back of a military Humvee, answering all their questions about how cool he is, when they’re suddenly attacked by Stark Industries explosives. He passes out—and when he comes to, he realizes he’s being held captive.

Cut back 36 hours earlier. Tony is supposed to be receiving an award… except he doesn’t show up. He’s too busy “working.” After the event, a journalist confronts him about selling weapons to terrorists. He denies it—and then they hook up. So that’s Tony.

We meet Pepper Potts, Tony’s hyper-competent personal assistant; “Happy” Hogan, his bodyguard and chauffeur; and most importantly, J.A.R.V.I.S., his personal AI system.

Tony heads to Afghanistan to show off his flashy new “Jericho” missile. It’s a big deal. It’s also very bad.

Now we’re back at the beginning. Tony was critically wounded in the ambush, but fellow captive Yinsen built an electromagnet to keep shrapnel from reaching Tony’s heart and killing him. Problem… temporarily solved.

Tony’s captors are the Ten Rings terrorist organization, and they demand he build a Jericho missile. If he doesn’t, he won’t be set free. Instead of building the missile, Tony secretly builds a weaponized suit to help them escape. The Ten Rings discover his plan, and Yinsen sacrifices himself to distract them while the suit powers up. Tony fights his way out of the cave, finds Yinsen dying, and—furious—destroys the terrorists’ munitions before flying away. He eventually crashes in the desert, destroying the suit.

After being rescued by Rhodey, Tony returns home and announces that Stark Industries will no longer manufacture weapons. Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges), his father’s old partner and the company’s acting manager, warns him this could destroy the company and its legacy. Tony reveals he has built a new miniaturized arc reactor—one capable of providing clean energy to the entire planet.

In his workshop, Tony builds an improved Iron Man suit and a more powerful arc reactor for his chest. Pepper places the original reactor in a glass display case. When Stane presses for details, a now-suspicious Tony keeps his work to himself.

At Tony’s first public appearance after his return, reporter Christine Everhart reveals that Stark Industries weapons—including the Jericho—have been delivered to the Ten Rings and used to attack Yinsen’s home village. Tony also learns Stane is attempting to remove him as head of the company. Enraged, Tony suits up and flies to Afghanistan, saving the village and dealing a devastating blow to the Ten Rings. On his way home, he’s targeted by two F-22 fighter jets and calls Rhodey, revealing his identity to stop the attack.

Meanwhile, the Ten Rings recover pieces of Tony’s original suit and meet with Stane. Stane eliminates the terrorists and has his own suit reverse-engineered from the wreckage. To track the weapons supply, Tony sends Pepper to hack into company files from Stane’s office. She discovers that Stane has been supplying terrorists and hired the Ten Rings to kill Tony—only for them to fail. Pepper then contacts Agent Phil Coulson of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.).

Stane’s scientists can’t replicate Tony’s arc reactor, so Stane ambushes Tony at home using a sonic device, paralyzes him, and steals his reactor. Left for dead, Tony crawls to his workshop and installs the original reactor. As Pepper and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents try to arrest Stane, he attacks in his Iron Monger suit. Tony fights him but is outmatched without his upgraded reactor. He lures Stane to the top of Stark Industries and instructs Pepper to overload the massive arc reactor. The resulting surge knocks Stane into the reactor, killing him.

The press dubs the armored hero “Iron Man.” Agent Coulson provides Tony with a cover story, but at a press conference, Tony abandons it entirely and admits: “I am Iron Man.”

In the post-credits scene, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury visits Tony and reveals that Iron Man isn’t the only superhero in the world—introducing the Avengers Initiative.

BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 1 EPISODE 1) SYNOPSIS

Welcome to Stars Hollow, founded in 1779 and thriving! We meet Lorelai as she walks into Luke’s Diner and asks for coffee. He tells her she has a problem because she’s a coffee junkie—but there’s nothing he can do about it. Why? Because he loves her. I mean… maybe not. It’s the pilot.

We also meet her 15-year-old daughter, Rory. While getting coffee, a random dude hits on both of them separately. Classic Gilmore Girls—so close in age they could be sisters.

Lorelai heads to work at the Independence Inn, where we meet her coworkers: Michel, a rude French man who runs the front desk, and Sookie St. James, the wildly talented and chaotic chef—and Lorelai’s best friend. Sookie dreams of one day owning an inn with Lorelai.

Meanwhile, Rory is hanging out with her best friend, Lane Kim. They’re discussing an upcoming hayride that Lane’s mom is forcing her to attend in hopes of setting her up with the son of one of her friends.

Then Lorelai gets BIG news: Rory has been accepted to the ultra-exclusive prep school, Chilton. This is huge, because it makes Rory’s dream of going to Harvard that much more possible. Lorelai tells Rory, and she is pumped.

But the joy doesn’t last long. Lorelai finds out how much Chilton costs—and it’s a lot. They need the money immediately, or Rory can’t start on Monday. There’s only one option, and it’s the worst one: asking her wealthy parents for help. Lorelai shows up at their house, and it’s immediately clear the relationship is rocky. They agree to pay—but on one condition: weekly dinners with Lorelai and Rory. Lorelai reluctantly agrees.

At school, Rory is packing up her things when she bumps into Dean, the new kid from Chicago. They talk, and Rory quickly starts to like him, despite the extremely concerning fact that he admits he watches her every day because she’s “nice to look at.” Sir.

After a sweet afternoon with Dean, Rory tells Lorelai she’s not sure she wants to go to Chilton anymore. Lorelai is confused and upset, but it suddenly clicks—it’s because of a boy. Lorelai tells Rory she will not allow her to throw her life away for some random guy. Rory is going to Chilton whether she likes it or not. It’s not a great night… nothing a little Macy Gray can’t help.

It’s finally time for the first Friday night dinner, and it’s a disaster. Lorelai’s father, Richard, brings up Rory’s dad, Christopher, and all the success he’s having with his internet startup in California. Lorelai spirals. She and her mom, Emily, end up fighting in the kitchen, and Rory overhears everything—including the fact that her grandparents are paying for Chilton.

By the end of the night, Rory recognizes her mom’s bravery and agrees to go to Chilton. The episode ends where it belongs: the Gilmore girls sitting in Luke’s Diner, talking.

The fire is burning hot and fast. Allie’s gone woke and makes masks for everyone to wear. All the important men in town head out there. They find Allie and Opal, but the boys are missing. Nathan and Joseph go searching and find the boys, though the fire is really growing. It feels like they’re about to get trapped… but nope. They all make it out just fine.

As the fire spreads, a mandatory evacuation is ordered. Before anyone can fully evacuate, the wind shifts and the fire starts heading toward Benson Hills. That means the folks from Benson Hills have to evacuate to Hope Valley. It’s a whole thing—Lucas works some magic, a giant gets arrested (even though Bill clearly has a health issue), and everyone bands together.

There’s a girl named Genevieve who’s heartbroken because her dad is missing, so Rosemary decides to hire her as a babysitter to help keep her mind off things.

Nathan goes out again to search for missing people and comes back with bad news: Benson Hills is gone. They also find Genevieve’s dad, and he’s in really bad shape.

For now, everything seems okay—but Lee is convinced this fire wasn’t an accident. How does a fire burn down a national park the day before it’s supposed to open? Lee has a theory… McGinty.

Georgie is a travel writer who covers different cities, giving readers tips on what they should see and do. When she returns from New Orleans, her boss calls her in and asks if she’s ready for her first week-long international trip… to Melbourne, Australia!

When she lands, Georgie is completely exhausted—so exhausted that she buys an insane hat. Her driver is nowhere to be found, and as she wanders around in a jet-lagged haze, she nearly gets hit by a car. Luckily, the driver is hot. Even luckier? He’s her driver.

His name is Zach, and Georgie insists he stay on as her driver, despite the fact that he calls her “Georgie Girl.” Zach knows all the spots that really show off Melbourne, and they have an amazing time together. Georgie starts to notice that people occasionally point at them or try to take photos. Eventually, she spots a poster of Zach as an athlete, and he comes clean: he’s a famous footy player who went out with an injury a few years ago. Thinking about it is still too painful, so it’s easier for him to avoid the topic altogether.

They continue hanging out and really hitting it off, which means it’s time for Georgie to meet his family and friends. They’re out in the grass looking at kangaroos when they almost kiss—but they’re interrupted by soundcheck for a party. The sparks are FLYING. This has been the best trip.

The next morning, Georgie sleeps in and wakes up to a frantic call from her assistant, who tells her she’s supposed to be on a late-night show that night. They’ve been trying to reach her! When Zach shows up, Georgie is upset that he let her sleep in and says some things she’s definitely going to regret.

While on the show, Georgie realizes that the best part of the trip wasn’t the city—it was spending time with Zach. She runs off the set, finds him, and they make up… and make out.

The movie kicks off with a drunk guy stumbling up to an attic. He’s clearly having a rough time.

Cut to Christmas Eve. Cliff tells his girlfriend, Brittany, that he’s six months sober. They arrive at her mom’s house, where Cliff immediately nails his mouth and loses a tooth. He has to drive around Baltimore looking for a dentist and eventually finds one. The bad news? He’s terrified of needles and passes out the second he sees one.

The dentist, Didi, is clearly going through it herself, but she helps him out and tells him he’ll need to come back on Monday to get the crown put in. When Cliff walks outside, he realizes his car has been towed. Didi sees him and offers to drive him to the tow lot. She’s very kind—but also clearly annoyed by Cliff, who is… a lot.

They get to the tow lot and find it closed. Once again, Didi helps him out. To thank her, Cliff insists on taking her out to dinner, assuming she has no plans since her kids are at her ex-husband’s house. Instead, she decides she wants to crash her ex-husband’s party—and wants Cliff to come with her. Cliff understands the assignment and does everything possible to make Didi look amazing while making her ex absolutely miserable.

They keep hanging out afterward, and Cliff opens up about his past in improv. Didi suggests they go to a show. Cliff admits he was fired because he “bullied” another comedian and hasn’t been back since. He really wants to go, but he’s nervous.

They go anyway, and his friend Marvin calls him up on stage. Cliff panics and says he can’t do it—but Didi pushes him to get up there. The crowd wants him to perform his Baltimorons sketch, but it needs a second person. Everyone gets awkward, so Didi volunteers.

It starts off rocky, but eventually improves, and they end up kissing on stage—until Cliff abruptly calls “end scene.” Didi is embarrassed and storms off. Cliff explains that he smelled alcohol on her breath and panicked because he’s six months sober. He didn’t think he could perform sober, but now he knows he can. He wants to keep the night going, especially since his fiancée is already mad at him.

They head to Didi’s boat and go out on the water. When they return to the dock, Brittany is waiting for him. She saw on the tracker app that he was in the middle of the water and got worried. They argue, and it seems like they break up.

Cliff goes back to Didi’s place. They slow dance. They kiss. What a night.

The next day, Cliff returns to his place, where Brittany shows up. They talk and officially break up, realizing it’s what’s best for both of them.

Cliff goes back to Didi’s house. She invites him in.

The national park is opening in two days, and Lee is freaking out. Rosemary, however, is not — because Elizabeth is finally coming home from Cape Fullerton, where she’s been with Nathan and baby Jack while he received diabetes treatment. Nathan has spent the entire summer growing a beard.

Lucas calls Elizabeth with bad news: the inspector who’s supposed to approve the new diabetes center in Hope Valley is stuck in Toronto due to the strike and might not make it until spring. So they decide to return to Hope Valley, but only for the weekend. Before they leave, Jack’s mom tells Nathan that she approves. Nathan is like, “I haven’t even proposed,” and she’s like, “You will.”

When they get back to Hope Valley, they share the bad news with everyone. Oliver is also there — and he has a mustache. Apparently, he’s been writing letters to Allie all summer.

We learn that Gowen’s son, Christopher, has been a huge help in getting the new playhouse up and running, including installing electricity.

The whole town comes together for the lighting of the first traffic light in Hope Valley.

Mr. McGinty shows up — presumably because he heard Bill is back in his red serge. Bill basically tells him, “Your land is ours now, scram.” McGinty responds with a threatening “We’ll see about that.”

Lucas returns to town and immediately gets a ticket for running a red light. He catches up with Edie, and the sparks are flying, though neither of them is quite sure what comes next.

Elizabeth stops by the school to drop off lesson plans for Minnie and ends up having a very serious conversation with Toby about rocks. We are so back.

Allie tells Elizabeth how happy she is to be back in Hope Valley, but admits things feel a little weird with Oliver. Elizabeth encourages her to talk to him.

She does — he shaves his mustache, she helps him with a map for the new trails, and somehow the sparks start flying again.

Elizabeth tells Nathan that he and Allie need to stay in Hope Valley. It’s Allie’s last year of school — no more sacrifices. Nathan makes a few calls and manages to get the inspector flown to Hope Valley.

They’re approved. They’re staying!!!

Bill tells Oliver he’s moving in with him — no questions asked — but also makes him stay at work and miss a hike with Allie. Classic Bill.

The episode ends with smoke billowing from the park. The kids are out there.

Sophia runs a high-end fashion company and, surprisingly, doesn’t suck as a person. Unfortunately, her ex-husband — who is also an investor — wants out. He’s ready to cash in while the company is still hot.

Max is a talented chef who can’t seem to break out, despite being incredible at his job. He tried opening his own restaurant a few years ago, but it failed, and now he works for another chef who takes credit for everything Max creates.

There’s one ultra-wealthy person in all of Fiji that both Sophia and Max want to pitch for funding.

Max’s buddy happens to be a private jet pilot, so he offers to get Max to Fiji. What he doesn’t mention is that Max will have to work the flight as a flight attendant. The passenger? Sophia.

They actually hit it off on the flight — until they fly into a massive storm and crash-land. Honestly, they both handle it shockingly well. With nothing to do but survive, they start opening up about their lives. Things are going fine… until they wake up the next morning and realize all their belongings — including the snacks — have been washed out to sea.

The pilot and co-pilot head out to find civilization. They succeed, but can’t figure out how to get back to the original island.

Max catches a fish and cooks a delicious meal, because of course he does. Stranded life turns out to be kind of amazing. They grow even closer, and when Sophia injures her foot, Max gets the perfect excuse to carry her and take care of her.

While exploring more of the island, they spot smoke in the distance. Fire! Civilization! They investigate and discover a campsite — they’re saved! Except Max is convinced they’re pirates, so they panic and run.

There’s swinging. There’s heroic escaping. There’s a celebratory kiss.

Except… they didn’t actually escape. The “pirates” catch up to them and reveal they’re not pirates at all — they work for a resort. Yes. There is a fully operational resort on the island.

They’re taken to the resort, where Sophia’s team is waiting for her. She immediately dives back into work but promises Max they’ll stay in touch. Soon, she realizes she doesn’t want to live that way anymore. She takes a step back from work, tells Max how she feels, and they kiss. Big ones.

Cut to one year later: Max has opened his own restaurant, Sophia has found balance, and they’re happily together.

BRAN’S CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS SYNOPSIS

Let’s talk about champagne. It’s more than just a drink — at least, that’s what Sydney wants us to believe. She gives us a full history of champagne and pitches the idea that her company should expand into the champagne market by acquiring a French champagne house. Her boss approves the idea and sends Sydney to France to try to close the deal herself.

Before she leaves, Sydney’s sisters make her promise that while she’s in France, she’ll take at least one night off work for herself. She pinky promises. A pinky promise can’t be broken.

Once she arrives, Sydney decides to visit a nearby bookstore to find a gift for her sister. The concierge recommends a spot, and it turns out to be the most magical bookstore of all time. While looking for the self-help section, she asks a man for help. Luckily, he’s hot. Unfortunately (or fortunately), he doesn’t actually work there — he just really loves the place.

His name is Henri. He dreams of owning a bookstore like this one, except with wine. Sydney explains she’s in a rush and wants to see all the major sights. Henri tells her those sights are overrated and offers to show her something better. She reluctantly agrees.

They spend a romantic evening together, including a near-kiss on a Ferris wheel. Sydney opens up about her divorce after her husband cheated on her, and Henri shares his struggle with his father, who wants him to take over the family champagne business — while Henri wants to pursue his dream of a wine-themed bookstore. As the night winds down, they kiss. Big ones.

The next morning, Sydney wakes up alone — Henri is nowhere to be found — and she’s overslept. She rushes across town to her meeting, only to be stunned when she realizes the company’s vice president is… Henri. He’s equally shocked to see her and horrified to learn she represents a company he despises.

Henri’s father invites Sydney and the other interested companies to spend the weekend at the family vineyard. By the end of the weekend, he’ll decide who gets the business, since Henri clearly doesn’t want to take it over himself.

Sydney and Henri eventually make up, and Henri pinky promises to give her company a fair shot. Over the weekend, everyone participates in tastings, tours, and events, leading up to individual presentations where each company makes its case.

Sydney grows closer to both Henri and his father, and everything seems to be going well — until her boss sends a coworker to France to “help” ensure the deal gets done. While talking with him, Sydney discovers the company’s real plan: acquire the champagne house, flip it, and strip the family of control.

Henri overhears the conversation, assumes the worst, and leaves before Sydney can explain her anger over the plan. When Sydney tracks him down, Henri insists they can’t be together.

Sydney quits her job, warns Henri’s father about the company’s intentions, and returns to the hotel. Realizing he’s made a huge mistake, Henri finds Sydney at the bookstore where they first met. They make up — and make out.

One year later, Henri and Sydney celebrate Christmas together, surrounded by family and friends, in their newly opened wine bookstore.

A group of people stop to listen to a woman playing the violin, including Georgia and her punk boyfriend, Andrew — a guy who actively hates teachers. He’s shocked to hear that she doesn’t want to go to a Chase Knightly dinner event, and in his disbelief, he breaks up with her. Unsurprisingly, she’s sad.

Speaking of Chase Knightly, we meet him next. He’s a playboy that the tabloids love to hate. When he arrives at his accommodations, he realizes he doesn’t have his keys — his assistant has them. So, the driver drops him off at a nearby community center.

Georgia is also at the community center, keeping an eye on a girl until her uncle arrives. That uncle? Andrew — who shows up with a new girlfriend. Chase witnesses the whole scene and pretends to be Georgia’s boyfriend to make Andrew jealous. It works.

This sparks an idea. With a big merger coming up, Chase could use some good press. He proposes a deal: “Be my girlfriend for the holiday season, and I’ll donate money to build a new community center.”

They begin hanging out, doing Christmas activities, helping her prep for the Christmas pageant, ice skating, and — naturally — starting to genuinely like each other.

Enter Randal, a paparazzo obsessed with exposing Chase and proving their relationship is a sham. He manages to call Chase out in front of the merger executive, throwing everything into jeopardy. Chase and Georgia break things off, though they both clearly have feelings for each other.

When Georgia learns the merger went through, she’s happy for him. All Chase wants now is to spend Christmas with her. He goes to the pageant to tell her how he feels, but she has already gone to the family Christmas party to find him. They catch up, make up, dance, and share a romantic moment to celebrate.

BRAN’S TWELVE DATES 'TIL CHRISTMAS (EPISODE 5 & EPISODE 6) SYNOPSIS

Kate is on a train, replaying the kiss in her head — and Cal is doing the exact same thing when Oliver shows up. Oliver wants to clear the air after Dates & Mates, reassuring Cal that telling the truth was the right thing to do… a comment that clearly hits deeper than intended.

On the train, Kate’s mom sits down across from her and gently asks what’s going on. Kate admits she kissed Cal. Her mom offers unexpected advice: find a third man — perspective is everything. Kate takes the advice and goes on a date with Charlie, an American.

But things get complicated fast when Kate bumps into Richard, who’s out on yet another date. Awkward all around.

Kate later confronts Cal for running away after the kiss and leaving her alone to process everything. Wanting to make things right, Laura and Cal work with the event organizer to set up a special do-over for Date 11. Unfortunately, Richard beats Cal to the punch, sending a car to pick Kate up and whisk her away for a carefully planned romantic night.

Meanwhile, Delilah continues aggressively pursuing Mac. Determined to clear things up, Mac goes to Evelyn to confess his feelings — and they kiss. He’s ecstatic… until he heads to the bathroom, gives himself a pep talk, and suddenly believes he’s having a heart attack.

Back on Richard’s date, Kate is making out with him when Cal calls — three times. She finally answers and rushes to the hospital, where she learns her dad hasn’t had a heart attack after all, but a panic attack. When she returns home, she discovers her mom has moved out.

Soon after, Kate learns her mom bought a nearby house. Her mom apologizes for not being present, tells Kate she’s too talented to be working for someone else, and asks her to decorate the new house. She promises she’s ready to change and will be there whenever Kate is ready.

Kate goes to tell Cal — but he’s clearly upset. He explains that he planned the do-over date. Kate insists she didn’t know. They argue, and Cal leaves, telling her he doesn’t know what she wants but hopes she finds it. Kate quietly replies, “Maybe I already have.” Laura tries to convince Kate to fight for Cal, but Kate believes Richard is the right choice.

Evelyn comes to check on Mac, and the two of them end up kissing again.

While out with Richard, Kate learns he’s been heavily flirting with other women throughout the dating experiment. When she confronts him, he explains they were both allowed to date — but in the end, he chose her. As they slow dance, Richard admits he chose her because it made for a good story. That’s the final straw. Kate wishes him a Merry Christmas and walks away.

Kate finds her dad, breaks down in his arms, and cries. He tells her he now understands his panic attacks and knows how to manage them. He reassures her that he has Evelyn — Kate doesn’t need to worry about him anymore. She can focus on herself.

Kate reconnects with her mom, grateful that she’ll finally be around, and the family spends Christmas together.

Later, Kate meets Laura. Traditionally, she’d spend Christmas night with Laura and Cal — but Cal doesn’t show. Kate gives Laura a gift she had taken from Cal’s place: a framed picture of a drawing Kate made years ago.

Realizing what she truly wants, Kate runs to Cal. She tells him she wants him. Cal steps outside, turns on the lights, and they share a big, emotional kiss.

Christmas is finally complete — together.

BRAN’S THE CHRISTMAS BABY SYNOPSIS

Erin is awakened early by the sound of her wife, Kelly, working on Christmas decorations in the living room. Kelly is designing elaborate Christmas set pieces for the theater, and she’s so consumed by the project that they haven’t even decorated their own house yet.

That night, Kelly is set to receive an award at a theater ceremony. Erin is running late because she’s finishing up at work. While getting changed at home, she hears someone enter the house. When she goes to check, she doesn’t find a person — just a baby.

Erin tries to track down the baby’s parent, but no one is around. In the stroller, she finds a note addressed to Erin and Kelly, asking them to take care of a baby named Nicolas. The note says they’re sorry and that they tried.

Unsure what to do, Erin brings Nicolas with her to the event, arriving just in time to see Kelly win her award. Afterward, Kelly insists they call the authorities, which they do. Betty from DSS arrives to take Nicolas into care, but Erin immediately feels uneasy. The note clearly suggests the birth mother wanted Nicolas to be with them. Erin and Kelly talk to Betty, and Nicolas ends up going home with them.

The next day, their theater friends come over and help brainstorm who Nicolas’s parent might be. Soon after, both of their mothers arrive — uninvited — to “help.” The moms raise concerns about how Erin and Kelly’s lives aren’t exactly set up for a baby.

Erin and Kelly try to adjust, but it’s overwhelming. Kelly starts to doubt they should keep Nicolas and calls Betty to ask about another placement, despite Erin’s reluctance. They argue, then make up the next morning, but Erin is still struggling. Kelly points out that kids aren’t practical — and reminds Erin that before they got married, Erin said she didn’t want children. Erin admits that Nicolas has awakened something in her she didn’t know was there.

The next day at work, Kelly mistakenly believes she’s being asked whether she wants to adopt Nicolas — and she says yes. In that moment, she realizes her fear has been keeping her from what she truly wants. The couple gets Nicolas back and begins preparing their home for the official home study.

On Christmas Eve, they learn that the birth mother has contacted Betty and wants to meet them. When Erin and Kelly arrive, they’re shocked to discover it’s the barista from the coffee shop they visit every week. She shares her story and formally asks Erin and Kelly to be Nicolas’s parents.

They say yes.

The movie ends with Erin and Kelly celebrating Christmas with their family — and their new baby boy.
