Two common themes were prominent this season no matter what Erin or her guests claimed: self-love, touched on in nearly every episode, and embracing the journey, whatever journey you're currently on or embarking upon. As humans, we experience events and traumas during our lifetime that compiled become a part of our story. Sometimes the past shows up in the present, and we're uncomfortable owning what happened to us, let alone sharing our truth. Sadness, shame, and emotional pain can be tied to these events, making them hard to relive. When we're able to claim our own stories, we're able to heal from the past and truly move forward, living in the present.

I Manifested A Unicorn

On August 9th, 2015, Erin made a list of everything she wanted in a man. She listed out each characteristic, attribute, and trait she felt would make her a perfect match. Then she swiped aimlessly, said yes to almost every man who asked her out, ignored red flags, and tried to mold the men who appeared at first glance to mirror that list into the man she envisioned.

Erin listened to the advice of relationship experts and coaches. She shared her journey openly on this podcast. She was willing to do anything and everything to crack the code, to find the special sauce, not just for herself but for all the other singles out there in the same boat.

She states how she was disappointed in Vanessa, Kobe’s wife, for sticking by his side. Fast forward to present day, the more mature Erin recognizes she missed out on the opportunity to watch this man redeem himself over the years as he morphed into a better person, a better husband, and an amazing father...A LEGEND.

Aura caught Erin's eye from across the room, dressed to the tens, wearing a cape, like the SHEro she is. She also had an uncanny resemblance to the fictional character Olivia Pope from one of Erin's favorite television shows, Scandal.

Aura, born and raised in Colombia, moved to the United States to escape the era of violence. She taught herself English. She worked nights and weekends to put herself through college. Inspired by Barak Obama, Aura decided it was time to be part of the solution, get involved, and make a difference at the local level. She is now a candidate for Los Angeles City Council 2020 (District 10). #AuraForThePeople

Things took a turn for the worse when he asked her to take The Cube Test, went to the restroom, and never returned. Her date drank and ditched, but at least he paid the tab.
