We all have those moments where something is our favorite thing at that moment even if it won’t be in a few years/months/weeks. Towards the end of the episode (43:59) we play you the real reason we are here this week, which is an interview with the very funny and also kind, Teresa Lee.
We met Teresa downtown to catch her after her last screenings of "I Think She Likes You", a short film she co-wrote and stars in, but unfortunately for all involved every location we picked kept getting shut down after a few minutes so our chat with her only ended up lasting about 16 minutes (They are sixteen solid minutes tho).
Since it was essentially Pete's fault, Colter and Hywel (recently in from the cold of Des Moines) had him fired as per usual and spend the first three quarters of the episode talking a bout portals between Alabama and Wales as well as Bass Pro Shops, Avengers Endgame and much more.

This week Colter and Peter hopped on a call with writer, musician, lover of good dogs and fellow southerner, Sean Dietrich of Sean of the South.
We talked about the SEC Championship Game, growing up in the south, storytelling, American music history and much more.

As a child, I liked to write. I filled up notebooks with tales of the high-seas, shameless vixens, and steamy scenarios combining both of the aforementioned. My fifth grade teacher found one of my notebooks and scanned through it. She told me I wrote with too many commas, and encouraged me to pursue a career in construction work.
That, old, woman, never, liked, me.
Years later, I learned my teacher had left the school. She took a job at the Piggly Wiggly as a cashier. I went to visit the old girl, to show her the man I’d grown into.
She seemed genuinely glad to see me. And I was just as glad to find her wearing that red apron for a living. After visiting for a few minutes, I realized something I’d never noticed before. Beneath her hardshell exterior was a regular lady, working from nine to five for pennies. She was doing the best she could with her life. Just like me.
Before I left, she asked me what kind of work I did.
At the time, I worked in construction.

Peter and Brandy were the artists in residence for a beautiful property in the French countryside. and the wonderful women who run it were kind enough to sit down with us and share about their project and lives.

About the Chateau:
Situated in the tranquil surroundings of Burgundy in France, Chateau de la Salle is a castle estate with over six-hundred acres of land and 90,000 square-feet of buildings. She switched coasts after stints at TIME and Real Simple (Colter tried to ask if Rebecca was a better boss than the Crooked gang, but there was a lot of obfuscating...), and remains the only Crooked employee to get a job via Twitter DM (thanks, Lovett).
