Hello! And welcome to opening day, Angels fans. On this week's episode, Taylor speaks with The Sporting Tribune's own Angels beat writers, Thomas Murray, Jack Janes, and a familiar face who's been a guest on the show, Jack Haslett.

The four of them discuss what the Angels' 2026 season might shake up to look like after an offseason filled with turnover, primarily around the coaching staff.

The guys break down each position group and give their thoughts/expectations for how the players might play this season.

UCLA and USC Baseball Season Preview

Taylor, Thomas, and Jack discuss a loaded UCLA baseball roster that is headlined by potential 2026, number 1 draft pick Roch Cholowksy. Behind Cholowsky, in the Bruins lineup, they are lead by Roman Martin, Mulivai Levu, and Will Gasparino. On the mound, the guys talk about Logan Reddemann, Landon Stump, Easton Hawk, and former 2025 second-round draft pick Angel Cervantes.

Over at USC, the guys dove into what this year’s Trojans team will look like as they are led by LHP Mason Edwards and Adrian Lopez.

Anaheim Ducks rebound season with 7 game win streak, Are the Angels' latest offseason moves enough?

On this week’s episode, the guys discuss the Ducks responding to a 9 game losing streak by winning 7 in a row. After back-to-back tough road loses to Edmonton and Vancouver earlier this week, the Ducks will have two more games to play until they are back at home to face Vegas and Seattle, then they will be off for almost the rest of the month as the Winter Olympics are set to begin in Italy.

On the baseball side of things, Thomas, Taylor, and Jack discuss the Angels offseason and if it’s enough to contend for the 2026 season. The Angels recently resigned third baseman Yoán Moncada. The guys end the episode discussing Tyler Bremner being PPI eligible, and go over some favorite American League Rookie of the Year candidates.

The guys end the episode by giving out their predictions for Nascar champions and who they think will win Super Bowl 60.

Angels Trade for Josh Lowe Ducks Snap 9 game losing streak, what’s next?

This week, the guys go over the Angels' three-team trade with the Reds and Rays, trading away Brock Burke to the Reds and former 5th round pick, Chris Clark, to the Rays, sending Gavin Lux to the Rays, and the Angels acquiring Josh Lowe. Thomas and Taylor dive into general manager Perry Minasian's press conference from earlier this afternoon, discuss why it was a good move for the Angels, but note that there is still more work for the team to do. The guys end the baseball conversation by going over the recent signings of Kyle Tucker to the Dodgers and Bo Bichette to the Mets.

On the hockey side of things, Zach goes over the Ducks snapping a 9-game losing streak on Tuesday night when they defeated the Dallas Stars 3-1 at the Honda Center. Both Taylor and Zach were at the game and went over the current morale of the roster, as the rest of January will be a make-or-break month for the team.

Jack and Zach also end the hockey side of things, previewing the back-to-back matchups on Friday and Saturday night between the LA Kings and Ducks, and why this series will be so vital for Anaheim.

The podcast concludes with the guys recapping their NFL Wild Card picks and sharing their Divisional round predictions for this weekend.
