Footbridge to Vietnam

What do you know about Vietnam? Didn’t they have a war or something? I think they eat Pho, but I’ve no idea how you say it.

On this show we dive into the culture, history and life of Vietnam to uncover the disruptive ideas that are coming out of this fast-growing hotspot of Southeast Asia.

If you're planning to visit, work or do business (or if you’re just curious), come join us for some serious and not-so-serious discussions and interviews with people, foreign and local, living and making it work here in modern Vietnam.

#2 (The Vietnamese Language) - Is Learning Vietnamese Difficult?

“Tiếng Việt khó quá! (Vietnamese is tough!)” Or is it? If you’re learning, or thinking about learning Vietnamese, then this episode will give you a look at what makes this language difficult (and not so difficult).

Language difficulty is an slightly tricky topic, as it's difficult to measure and the answer differs depending on your mother-tongue. So in this episode, we look at:

Language difficulty - how do we measure it, and what does it say about Vietnamese?

What makes Vietnamese difficult/easy?

For the language nerds (like me) we dig into some of the phonological and grammatical aspects of the language, but there are some cultural and other linguistic points about the language - which is what makes the question so interesting! Tune in for the full story.

If you liked this episode, please leave a like and/or a review on our Facebook page!
