It's been true since the dawn of the automobile that the one thing cooler than cars going fast is cars exploding. This simple rule has been the crutch that the Fast and Furious franchise has been built off of but before there was Fast and Furious there was a series of games that captured the heart of nearly every kid growing up in the 90s. And that game was Twisted Metal, a game now turned tv show, that featured continuous explosive vehicular combat. Will the show capture that same feeling from our nostalgic childhood or is this just another example of a video game adaptation failing to capture the joy of it's source material? That said sometimes what you hear about something may stop you from ever giving it a chance to begin with and that is especially disheartening when the media in question actually turns out to be pretty solid. This time in the cockpit we discuss our current dive into the Netflix Marvel shows as we prepare for the Daredevil Disney+ reboot (or is it a continuation?). Specifically we discuss some of the more negatively received aspects of the "Defenderverse" and why we think it might be time you gave it a second chance too.

It turns out that in the late 2010s Youtube was regularly churning out high quality content that for the most part seemed to slip under everyone's radar. Now some of these shows are inaccessible to watch outside of committing acts of piracy and nearly all of them were canceled and forgotten. We discuss the path that led to this and detail our plans to highlight some of these gems that are seemingly lost to annals of the internet.

Today's in-flight entertainment isn't technically a holiday tv show, but it does take place during December and does mention Christmas which we know is enough for some people to call this a Christmas show (looking at you "Die Hard is a Christmas movie" people). More intriguing than potentially being a Christmas show is the fact that the in-flight entertainment for this flight is exclusive to the Chick-fil-A Play streaming app. That's right passengers the fast food chicken sandwich juggernaut has planted their flag in the realm of video streaming services and done so with a debut Chick-fil-A Original show. This is our review of Legends of Evergreen Hills, the first and perhaps only full length animated series produced and distributed by a fast food company on their own proprietary streaming service.

Come along as we discuss the idea of separating movies, music, games and everything else into smaller categories based on only a handful of categories and when we exhaust the well of what use genres are we turn to the subject of kayfabe, an idea that is mostly rooted in wrestling but in many ways has wormed it's way all through the internet. It's the 12th and that means it's time for another Inside the Cockpit, turns out everything we wanted to talk about happened in just the last 4 days. Between Thursday, December 8th and Sunday the 11th the amount of events that interest us is near un-quantifiable... okay that's a stretch. It was 3 events. BUT it was 3 LARGE events. Thursday was The Video Game Awards, one of the only award shows it feels like is worth watching. Saturday was Ring of Honor's Final Battle PPV and then just last night, Sunday, was the Mogul Chessboxing Championship. 3 stacked events over the short span of 4 days and we cover it all Inside the Cockpit.

Unfortunately Justice wouldn't let us do any sort of deep dive into the show/card so I'm using this time to tell you that not only was the MJF vs CM Punk match one of the best feuds in all of wrestling but also the main event between Adam Cole and Adam Page was one of the best matches of the year. In all honesty Revolution might end up being the best show of 2022 and it's only March. This year is going to be wild.

Hey welcome back Inside the Cockpit, where this month we come to the conclusion that it's probably not safe to invite a bunch of passengers into the cockpit with us. But shhhh if you don't tell it should be okay.

Sony had their Playstation Reveal event and showed off a whole bunch of games if you are interested in checking that out, seeing any of the trailers we discussed or any of the ones we didn't you can check that out here.

Additionally one of the games mentioned, Quantum League, was actually from another online show: The Escapist Indie Showcase.
