He was also a writer and producer on the Western mystery series Longmire and was nominated for a WGA award for his work on The Terror: Infamy. He's the author of Johnny Cash's American Recordings, an entry in the 33 1/3 book series about classic music albums, and two poetry collections including Invisible Bride, winner of the 2003 Walt Whitman Award. Tost is a graduate of the University of Arkansas MFA program in Creative Writing. Along with his wife and two sons, he splits his time between Los Angeles and Fayetteville, Arkansas. DeWayne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance, a Master’s degree in Theological Studies, and is currently working towards an MFA in Music Composition with an emphasis in scoring for picture and media.  His experience dealing with various musical environments and genres has shown him to be quite versatile. His work has been performed by symphony orchestras, national touring gospel artists, secondary and college ensembles, and various other groups around the US and in parts of Europe. Beyond the stage and studio, he has had the opportunity to teach and lecture within secondary schools and college classrooms regarding topics surrounding music, spiritual formation, creative problem solving, and communication. Brooke was awarded a Women In Film & Television grant in 2019 to finish her short documentary "Women of the West Bank".
