But if CA and AZ Democrats are bad, ME Democrat said, “Hold my latte!”, as they tried to select a Nazi rapist in Maine for the Senate. That’s like giving a sports franchise to Ted Bundy. As you look at that story in the rearview mirror, ask yourself how deranged you must be to try to put Graham Platner by the American public. Forget that the Left think of Platner as their answer to conservative men, aka REAL men. But the notion that they could get their own people to agree to it is what I find most amazing. And they succeeded, until Platner became politically untenable.

But if that story doesn’t make you scratch your head, how about Governor Tim Walz in MN, releasing a rapist of a 10-yo girl, because he wanted to show mercy to a man who had a bad day. Essentially that was Walz’ excuse for showing mercy to a rapist. He had a bad day.

I recently sat down with Shahin Gobadi, spokesman for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), to discuss how recent events are being viewed inside Iran and among the organized resistance movement. The conversation revealed a perspective that stands in stark contrast to the narrative often presented in the United States. Gobadi has long argued that the Iranian regime is vulnerable and that organized resistance inside the country is stronger than many in the West realize.

What surprised many Americans is that members of the Iranian resistance are not mourning the weakening of the regime. Quite the opposite.

Gobadi explained that many Iranians see the recent conflict not simply as another military confrontation, but as an opportunity. For decades, millions of Iranians have lived under an authoritarian theocracy that has imprisoned dissidents, executed political opponents, and exported terrorism throughout the Middle East. From their perspective, every setback suffered by the ruling clerics creates space for the Iranian people to reclaim their country.

One of the most striking moments of our conversation came when Gobadi described the mood among resistance supporters.

"They are hopeful," he explained.

Not hopeful because of war itself. Hopeful because they believe the regime's grip on power has been weakened in ways that may finally allow the Iranian people to determine their own future.

That distinction matters.

Americans often evaluate military action by asking whether it leads to another "forever war." The NCRI sees the question differently. Their focus is not on foreign occupation or outside nation-building. Their objective is for Iranians themselves to replace the current regime with a democratic government.

Gobadi emphasized that the NCRI believes the future of Iran must ultimately be decided by its own citizens. He argued that international pressure, combined with internal resistance, offers the greatest opportunity in decades for democratic change. That position has remained consistent throughout the organization's public statements.

Our discussion also explored how President Trump's policies have been perceived inside Iran.

While critics in America often portrayed Trump's "maximum pressure" strategy as provocative, Gobadi suggested many opponents of the regime viewed it differently. Pressure directed at the ruling establishment, he argued, was interpreted by many Iranians as pressure on the government that has oppressed them for nearly half a century, not on the Iranian people themselves.

That perspective is often absent from American political debate.

Too frequently, discussions about Iran revolve around diplomacy versus military action while overlooking the millions of Iranians who reject the current regime altogether. Gobadi repeatedly returned to that point, insisting that the real story is not simply geopolitical competition but the aspirations of ordinary Iranians who want freedom, representative government, and an end to clerical rule.

Whether one agrees with every aspect of the NCRI's vision, it is difficult to ignore the optimism they express today. For an opposition movement that has endured decades of repression, exile, and violence, optimism is not a word that has often characterized its public message.

Yet today, that is precisely what Gobadi conveyed.

He believes the balance has shifted.

He believes the regime is weaker than at any point in its history.

And he believes democracy in Iran is no longer an abstract dream, but a realistic possibility if the Iranian people are given the opportunity to choose their own future. Those themes are consistent with recent public remarks by Gobadi, who has argued that the regime is at its weakest in decades and that organized resistance is positioned to support a democratic transition.

For Americans accustomed to viewing Iran solely through the lens of nuclear negotiations and regional conflict, it is a reminder that behind every geopolitical crisis are millions of people whose greatest desire is simply to live free.

That may prove to be the most important story of all.

I got asked recently why dealing with Iran isn't as easy as dealing with Venezuela.

Because they're not the same country.

That's like asking why climbing Mount Everest isn't as easy as walking up the steps at Walmart.

Venezuela is in our hemisphere. We've had strategic interests there since James Monroe was telling Europe, "Stay on your side of the pond."

Iran has spent decades preparing for exactly this moment.

Their nuclear infrastructure wasn't built in office parks with valet parking. They buried it inside mountains. Granite. Reinforced bunkers. Underground complexes that look like somebody hired a Bond villain as the architect.

These people weren't planning for inspections.

They were planning for survival.

Which makes President Trump's strategy fascinating.

Everybody expected fireworks.

Instead, he's conducting surgery.

One target.

Another target.

Economic pressure.

Military pressure.

Psychological pressure.

It's less "shock and awe" and more "you'll wake up tomorrow and discover another piece of your government has mysteriously disappeared."

Melissa made an interesting point the other day about international law and whether Trump worries about being labeled a war criminal.

That's adorable.

The same people who spent years calling Trump Hitler now expect him to lose sleep because somebody at the International Criminal Court might wag a finger?

Then, almost on cue, Iran demanded Trump and Netanyahu be declared war criminals.

You have to admire the timing.

It's like getting robbed and having the burglar call the police because your alarm scared him.

Meanwhile, Trump escalated anyway.

Oil infrastructure.

Bridges.

Military headquarters.

The message wasn't subtle.

It was, "We can make your economy disappear one strategic target at a time."

And apparently Iran responded by pretending not to hear it.

That's generally not a winning strategy.

Now things get even more interesting.

Most Americans don't even realize Iran has two navies.

There's the regular navy.

Then there's the Revolutionary Guard Navy.

Think of them as the mosquito version of naval warfare.

Tiny boats.

Fast boats.

Hidden in caves.

Launching from tunnels.

Harassing commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

They're betting that enough little stings become one big headache.

Twenty years ago, maybe.

Today?

Every satellite is watching.

Every drone is watching.

Artificial intelligence is watching.

Some poor analyst in a windowless room probably knows what cave they're using before the captain does.

Technology has made hiding much harder.

You can hide from your neighbors.

The comedy practically writes itself.

For nearly ten years the Left insisted Donald Trump represented an existential threat to democracy.

Now the supposed threat to democracy wants Americans to see government documents.

The defenders of democracy?

"Please don't watch."

You almost have to admire the accidental irony.

Nothing says confidence like begging people not to hear the opposing side.

The lived reality in Chicago, Baltimore, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and large stretches of New York and Illinois tells a different story: problems that existed before are now supercharged, layered with new layers of dependency and extraction.

This is not random misfortune. 

When ideology treats government as the primary engine of human flourishing and views skepticism of that engine as moral failure, the incentives shift. 

Production gives way to redistribution. Oversight gives way to expansion. The people who staff and administer these systems often share the worldview that more money and more programs equal better outcomes by definition. When results disappoint, the response is rarely self-examination; it demands more resources and lobs accusations against anyone pointing at the scoreboard.

Two patterns stand out that rarely make the evening news in their full context. 

First, public-choice analysis of large transfer programs shows that once concentrated interests gain access to diffuse taxpayer funds, the political and bureaucratic machinery tends to prioritize maintaining and growing those flows over efficient delivery to the intended recipients. 

The second is more cultural: jurisdictions with the longest uninterrupted progressive governance often display the highest per-capita government spending alongside the weakest private-sector job creation and the most visible street-level disorder. 

Correlation is not destiny, but when the same pattern repeats across continents and decades—whether in certain European welfare states or American blue strongholds—the refusal to examine the underlying assumptions becomes its own form of evidence.

If the model produced anything resembling the promised uplift, we would see at least one flagship city or state where decades of dominance translated into visibly superior results on the ground rather than superior rhetoric. 

Instead, the strongest Democratic strongholds function as cautionary exhibits. The question worth asking is straightforward: when the ideology that claims exclusive ownership of compassion has controlled the levers in the places with the most visible human suffering for the longest time, at what point does the repeated failure stop being blamed on external forces and start being examined as a feature of the approach itself?

Schools sit at the heart of any society’s claim to invest in the future. When the institutions charged with teaching the next generation become vehicles for personal enrichment, the betrayal cuts deeper than ordinary graft. A recent joint report from the State Financial Officers Foundation and OpenTheBooks documented roughly $225 million in alleged education-related fraud across 24 states and Puerto Rico over just six years. The cases involved embezzlement, phony invoices, inflated enrollment, bid-rigging, and kickbacks. California stood out among the worst offenders.

In one Orange County district, a former fiscal services director allegedly drained nearly $16.7 million—roughly $3,553 per student—into luxury homes, vehicles, and designer goods. 

Separate cases in Southern California showed school leaders treating district accounts as personal slush funds on a scale that would bankrupt smaller operations outright. These were not isolated errors in judgment; they were sustained, multi-year operations that required complicity or willful blindness at multiple levels.

Illinois offers a parallel window into how public office and grant-making intersect with personal gain. In July 2026, federal prosecutors indicted State Representative Carol Ammons and her husband, Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons, on multiple counts including wire fraud and obstruction-related charges. The alleged scheme, running from 2017 into 2025, involved converting campaign contributions for personal use and steering state grants toward organizations that employed their daughter.

The pattern is not that every educator or administrator is corrupt. It is that the combination of large, lightly monitored public budgets, ideological resistance to rigorous accountability, and a political culture that treats criticism of the system as an attack on the vulnerable creates fertile ground for those willing to exploit it. When the same jurisdictions that lecture the nation on equity and investment simultaneously produce headline-grabbing cases of insiders treating school funds as personal wealth transfers, the disconnect between rhetoric and results becomes impossible to ignore.

And before anybody panics, relax. For Chicago, that's practically a Chamber of Commerce commercial. Somewhere in City Hall they're popping champagne because nobody hit double digits.

Yet somehow the people counting bodies in Tehran can't seem to find a calculator for Cook County.

Funny how that works.

The Left has suddenly become fascinated with casualty reports. They have spreadsheets for Iran. Pie charts. PowerPoint presentations. But ask them about Chicago and suddenly they become performance artists.

"Violence is complicated."

Really? Bullets seem remarkably uncomplicated.

I got asked recently why dealing with Iran isn't as easy as dealing with Venezuela.

Because they're not the same country.

That's like asking why climbing Mount Everest isn't as easy as walking up the steps at Walmart.

Venezuela is in our hemisphere. We've had strategic interests there since James Monroe was telling Europe, "Stay on your side of the pond."

Iran has spent decades preparing for exactly this moment.

Their nuclear infrastructure wasn't built in office parks with valet parking. They buried it inside mountains. Granite. Reinforced bunkers. Underground complexes that look like somebody hired a Bond villain as the architect.

These people weren't planning for inspections.

They were planning for survival.

Which makes President Trump's strategy fascinating.

Everybody expected fireworks.

Instead, he's conducting surgery.

One target.

Another target.

Economic pressure.

Military pressure.

Psychological pressure.

It's less "shock and awe" and more "you'll wake up tomorrow and discover another piece of your government has mysteriously disappeared."

Simple. When your entire business model is convincing people that common sense is dangerous, eventually common sense stages a jailbreak.

Democrats have become their own demolition crew.

Even Van Jones, who has spent years trying to translate progressive ideas into something normal people can digest, finally threw up his hands. He basically said the far Left had turned progressivism into performance art.

His description was unforgettable. He said they were "pooping in the Kool-Aid bowl and telling us the turds are ice cubes."

That's Van Jones.

I've heard political spin before. I've heard politicians polish bad ideas until they sparkle. But when your own team starts comparing your messaging strategy to a contaminated punch bowl, maybe the branding consultants should be called before the campaign consultants.

Jones openly criticized support for Hamas, abolishing police, abolishing borders, refusing to deport violent criminals, and questioning Israel's existence.

Again, not conservatives.

That has become our political culture.

That's essentially where we've arrived.

The President announces he's releasing declassified intelligence involving the most sacred institution in our republic, elections, and instead of every network saying, "America deserves to hear this," they suddenly become television sommeliers.

"This speech has hints of misinformation with notes of conspiracy and an unpleasant finish. We recommend viewers pair it with three former intelligence officials and Rachel Maddow."

The comedy practically writes itself.

For nearly ten years the Left insisted Donald Trump represented an existential threat to democracy.

Now the supposed threat to democracy wants Americans to see government documents.

The defenders of democracy?

"Please don't watch."

You almost have to admire the accidental irony.

Nothing says confidence like begging people not to hear the opposing side.

And here's the bigger point.

Will Hollyweird pull a classic move and cast Caitlin Clark as Harriet Tubman?

Instead?

Crickets.

The media suddenly developed the observational skills of a goldfish.

So apparently we've reached a new definition of excellence. Sell tickets with a superstar...then let everybody mug her because she's too successful.

Imagine the NBA treating Michael Jordan that way.

"Michael's too popular. Let's let Bill Laimbeer choke him for ratings."

That's not excellence.

That's envy with a scoreboard.

Did you see the video?

A giant male bison is lying there, minding his own business, probably thinking about grass, taxes, and whether Yellowstone has enough parking. Then along comes a couple who decide, "You know what this thousand-pound wild animal needs? Me... six feet away... with an iPhone."

That's confidence bordering on a medical condition.

The bison starts rolling around on the ground. He's giving every warning nature invented. He's basically saying, "I'm trying to remain a vegetarian today. Don't test me."

Instead of taking the hint, they stick around.

Then the bison gets up.

Now, if a bison stands up and starts running at you, there are only two acceptable responses. One is run. The other is pray while running.

These folks chose... photography.

A white SUV drives between the bison and the couple, buying them precious seconds. They duck behind some trees. You can't see much. Then the man bolts toward the SUV, and just as he reaches safety...

BOOM!

That bison lowers his head and launches the guy about fifteen feet into the air.

I've watched enough football to know that wasn't a tackle.

That was assisted flight.

I imagine the bison thinking, "What is WITH these white people?"

Listen, I love my white friends. But there really should be a cable channel called Crazy Crap White People Do.

Season One:

Episode One: Selfie with the bison.

Episode Two: Let's pet the bear.

Episode Three: Honey, I bet that hippo is friendly.

Spoiler alert... every season finale ends in the emergency room.

And before anybody gets upset, relax. Every race has its thing.

I ask because there's a story out of Indiana that reads like somebody gave ChatGPT a concussion.

Police respond to a stabbing.

Firefighters respond to a garage fire.

At first you think, "That's a busy night."

Then the investigations merge into one story, and somehow the missing family member turns out to be... well... only partially missing.

According to investigators, this guy allegedly cut off his own penis... and then set it on fire.

Now, I don't know who looked at that crime scene first, but imagine being the detective.

"So... we've got a fire."

"Anything accelerate it?"

"Apparently poor decision-making."

The reports say he admitted it.

Admitted it?

Sir, I don't think you needed a confession. I don't think CSI had to dust for fingerprints. There are some crimes where the evidence introduces itself.

And here's what really gets me.

He gets charged with... arson.

Arson!

That's adding insult to catastrophic injury.

The prosecutor's reading the charges like it's any ordinary Tuesday.

"Sir, you're charged with destruction of property..."

"...and by the way... the State would also like to discuss the garage."

Now, I have practical questions.

Since when is that considered firewood?

I grew up learning about kindling.

I've never seen political opponents spend so much money marketing somebody else's brand.

It's like Coca-Cola buying Pepsi commercials.

Foreign adversaries make another interesting mistake.

They assume America is divided enough that we won't defend ourselves.

History suggests otherwise.

Americans argue constantly.

We debate taxes.

We debate spending.

We debate who ruined Thanksgiving.

But when somebody outside decides America should lose?

That conversation changes.

Very quickly.

The people betting against America usually discover they've mistaken cable television for national character.

Those are not the same thing.

Here's the larger lesson.

Strength isn't about wanting conflict.

Strength is convincing the other guy that conflict would be the dumbest decision he'll make all year.

That's deterrence.

It's cheaper than war.

It's faster than war.

And it usually prevents war.

As for the Democratic Party, they're facing a different problem.

They're discovering that the American people have become much harder to frighten.

I’m Kevin Jackson, and today we’re talking about wars—plural. The ones President Trump is fighting inside this country and the ones he’s refusing to lose outside of it.

Let’s start with the obvious one everybody’s pretending to clutch pearls over: Iran. Can anybody seriously blame the man for finally treating them like the liars they’ve always been?

These are the same people who’ve spent years swearing on a stack of whatever they don’t believe in that they’re not building bombs, not funding terror, not planning to turn the Middle East into their personal playground. Then they get caught red-handed and act shocked when somebody stops playing along. It’s like catching the same guy breaking into your garage every other Tuesday and then getting mad when you finally change the locks. We’re going to spend some time on Iran today because the story’s bigger than one headline and the media would rather you not look too closely.

Meanwhile, the polling numbers keep doing something the left swore would never happen again: they’re going up. Trump’s sitting at his highest levels in months. The only thing that’s actually changed is the media occasionally running out of negative adjectives and being forced to report what’s actually occurring. Wild concept, I know.

I was on a panel the other day with a 37-year-old gentleman who insisted the DSA movement is growing. I asked him the same questions I’ve asked plenty of others. First one was simple: Who’s the leader of the Republican Party? One hundred percent of the panel said Trump without blinking. Then I asked about the Democrats. He tried to be cute and said Joe Rogan. The room laughed. The problem is, it wasn’t that funny—because when your party’s brand is so damaged that a comedian with a podcast starts looking like the adult in the room, maybe the real joke is on the people still pretending everything’s fine.

I’m going to place my bet on what actually happened. Democratic leadership got spooked - not because of any particular accusation, but because of the DSA backlash threatening to take over their own party. They knew your Senate race is a critical key to taking over Congressional control. The 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Even the Brits are quietly glad we kicked their butts 250 years ago after seeing what we built. Who wouldn’t celebrate this great country? A nation that survived two world wars, economic storms, and at least two spectacularly clueless presidents: Barack Obama and Joe Biden. If we can survive those two clowns, we can survive anything—including the mess they left behind.

I was already energized about our country, but this weekend I had to reroute some of that power straight to the grid. Now the kids see the parents as the oppressors.

If authority is evil, then let’s dispatch the first authoritarians.

The only way to fix anything was to burn it all down and take the inheritance.

They’re not just sad or anxious — they’re zealots. Crazed, True Believer zealots for causes that would make a normal person back away slowly.

They treat every policy like it’s a religious sacrament, and if you question it, you’re not just wrong — you’re evil.

What do you even call this? Delusional? Sure, but that feels too generous.

Joe Biden spoke publicly again, and he didn’t disappoint.

Yet again, Biden proved to be a buffoon.

I’m actually surprised Democrats let this guy out. Remember in 2020 they kept him in the basement so they could steal the election.

I predict he will have disappear soon. “Where’s my granddaughter!?”

At issue are roughly 70 hours of audio recordings captured during conversations for Biden’s 2017 memoir, Promise Me, Dad. Biden’s legal team argued the recordings include deeply personal discussions, including references to the death of his son Beau and should remain private despite becoming part of a federal investigation.

In a May statement, Mike Howell, president of The Heritage Foundation’s The Oversight Project, said, per Politico, that the “tapes will further prove the massive lie regarding Biden’s fitness for office and the fact Biden revealed classified information.”

Democrats don't want us to know what we already know.

Think about how absurd that sentence is.

They spent years insisting Joe Biden was fine. Sharp. Focused. In command. The media treated every obvious cognitive malfunction as if Americans had accidentally wandered into a mass hallucination.

Then came the legal fight over the tapes.

And that's the confession.

Because nobody fights to suppress evidence that vindicates them.

What a great country we have. God’s gift.

In this first segment of our arc on Trump the pragmatist, we zero in on the sheer anomaly of the man himself, the one who treats government like the badly managed enterprise it has become rather than a permanent stage for team colors and emotional theater.

Trump saw government the way a builder sees a collapsing structure. Old-school business did not care about your feelings or your donor list. It cared whether the numbers landed in black or bled red. Government, by contrast, has run in permanent red for longer than most voters have been alive, borrowing against tomorrow to fund today’s slogans. The result is a system where problems are not solved; they are weaponized for the next election cycle. Career politicians from both aisles perfected the art of keeping issues alive just enough to stay relevant. Trump walked in without that training. He saw a leaky roof and reached for the ladder instead of forming a committee to study the symbolism of the leak.

The WNBA is so much like the Democrats.

Folks, the Democratic Party has become the parents who now sleep with the bedroom door locked, a knife under the pillow, and a loaded gun pointed straight at the door.

Not physically exhausted. They're not out there roofing houses in Phoenix in July. They're politically exhausted. There's a difference.

These people haven't had a decent night's sleep since Donald Trump got back into office.

Think about what their daily schedule looks like.

Wake up.

Check if another investigation has been launched.

Check if another former ally has flipped.

Check if another government program has been exposed as a money-laundering operation disguised as compassion.

Check if Trump has dismantled another sacred cow.

Repeat until bedtime.

And even then they probably sleep with one eye open and a lawyer on speed dial.

What's fascinating is that for years Republicans mostly played defense. We argued about policy. Tax rates. Regulations. Border security. The size of government.

The fights were ideological.

Democrats wanted bigger government. Conservatives wanted smaller government.

Simple enough.

But now we're learning that many of these fights weren't about ideology at all.

They were about access.

Access to money.

Access to influence.

Access to systems that were never supposed to be questioned.

And suddenly we're discovering that what was marketed as "public service" sometimes looks suspiciously like a criminal enterprise with a diversity statement.

Funny how that works.

Remember when they told us Trump was the criminal?

Remember the endless investigations?

The impeachments?

The special counsels?

The raids?

The prosecutions?

The cable news countdown clocks?

At one point they had so many cases against Trump that it looked like they were trying to collect indictments the way kids collect baseball cards.

"Got the New York one."

"Need the Georgia edition."

"Anybody got the classified documents hologram card?"

And after all that noise, what happened?

Most of those cases collapsed faster than Joe Biden's train of thought at a press conference.

Meanwhile, the people who spent years telling us democracy was hanging by a thread are now discovering that subpoenas can be remarkably democratic.

Now we're seeing investigations involving people who spent years presenting themselves as untouchable.

California Governor Gavin Newsom appears to be discovering that good hair isn't a legal defense.

His political brand was always fascinating to me.

California burns.

People leave.

Businesses relocate.

The homeless population grows.

Yet every magazine cover treated him like he was one campaign speech away from carving his face onto Mount Rushmore.

The media looked at California's performance and said, "Yes, but have you seen his jawline?"

Then you've got Ilhan Omar and the growing scrutiny around people in her orbit.

That story continues to expand.

And here's the thing.

The public is beginning to notice a pattern.

For years we were told to ignore questions.

Ignore concerns.

Ignore contradictions.

Just trust the experts.

Trust the officials.

Trust the process.

Trust the people telling you not to ask questions.

Turns out that's usually the exact moment you should start asking them.

Which brings me to one of the most revealing stories I've seen recently.

A study involving artificial intelligence and media credibility.

Now this is rich.

A company called NewsGuard rates news organizations and scores them on credibility. They developed data designed to help AI systems identify supposedly trustworthy information.

Sounds reasonable.

Until researchers started examining the results.

And according to reports, Chinese state propaganda outlets ended up being treated as more reliable than many American news organizations.

Let that sink in.

We've reached a point where an authoritarian government's messaging operation can score higher than portions of the American press.

You almost have to admire the accidental honesty.

Because maybe the biggest propaganda achievement wasn't China convincing Americans to trust China.

Maybe it was America's media convincing Americans not to trust America.

That's the real magic trick.

Imagine explaining this to somebody twenty years ago.

"One day, artificial intelligence will be trained to identify truth."

"Wonderful."

"And it may conclude that Chinese government messaging is more trustworthy than some American reporting."

"What caused that?"

"The fact-checkers."

You couldn't write satire this good.

The joke writes itself and then sends you a royalty check.

The deeper question is this:

What happens when the institutions responsible for determining truth become political actors themselves?

Think about the symbolism.

California spent years telling us voter fraud was rarer than a unicorn riding a bicycle. Then investigators show up on Skid Row like they're filming a crossover episode between Law & Order and The Walking Dead.

You know what's remarkable?

California will allegedly investigate whether you're sufficiently gay to qualify for certain diversity contracting programs.

There was a time when politics occupied about the same amount of space in your life as competitive curling. You knew it existed. You assumed somebody was doing it. And every four years you'd glance up from your life, vote for somebody, and then go back to worrying about things that actually mattered.

Now? Politics has become America's most invasive species.

People who couldn't name their city councilman twenty years ago can now explain the federal budget, judicial appointments, international trade, election law, and the dietary habits of every member of Congress. We have accidentally created a nation of amateur political scientists.

And the reason is simple. We had no choice.

I'd wager that your political knowledge has increased every decade for the last forty years. Not because you wanted it to. Because reality kept forcing itself into the conversation.

It's like golf.

When you're a beginner, golf is wonderful. You hit the ball. You chase the ball. You lose the ball. Everybody laughs. You buy a hot dog. Great day.

Then you get better.

Suddenly you're studying swing planes, grip pressure, club faces, launch angles, wind conditions, green speed, and whether Mercury is in retrograde. The game stops being a game and becomes a graduate-level physics experiment conducted by emotionally unstable people wearing khakis.

Politics works the same way.

At first, you think elections are simple. The best ideas win.

Then you learn how money works.

Then you learn how media works.

Then you learn how bureaucracy works.

Then you learn how narratives are manufactured.

Then you discover that half the game is being played backstage by people you've never heard of.

That's when you find yourself staring into the political rabbit hole thinking, "Wait a minute...who exactly wrote these rules?"

And perhaps more importantly...

Can they be changed?

For millions of Americans, Donald Trump answered that question.

But then comes the part that makes you tilt your head like a confused newsroom intern: the suggestion that the leader of the United States shows up, and somehow there’s resistance to the photo op. With Donald Trump.

Now pause right there. Because in today’s political ecosystem, Trump could walk into a room, solve a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded, donate a million dollars to charity, and the headline would still somehow be: “Man With Opinions Causes Mild Atmospheric Disturbance.”

So when Meloni says she doesn’t understand why the President behaves this way toward allies, and that it’s “a pity he doesn’t show the same determination with the enemies of the West,” I have questions. Not rhetorical ones. Real ones. The kind that come with raised eyebrows and a slow sip of coffee.

First, “behaves this way” is doing a lot of emotional lifting there. That phrase is like a diplomatic suitcase stuffed with assumptions, interpretations, and at least three editorial board meetings.

Because what exactly is the behavior?

But let’s step back into Meloni’s critique: why not show the same determination with the enemies of the West?

I've got good news for conservatives today. Conservatism is back. Not sneaking through the back door. Not hiding in the bushes wearing a fake mustache. I'm talking about kicking the front door open, flipping on the lights, and discovering that half the country was afraid of the dark for no reason.

Socialism has become the world's longest-running infomercial. Every season starts with promises of equality and ends with somebody standing in line for toilet paper wondering where all the economists disappeared.

Speaking of things not working out, let's travel to New York, where a Pride organization announced it's dissolving after its drag queen founder was arrested on child pornography charges.

Now before anybody starts hyperventilating, the point isn't that one criminal represents everyone. The point is how quickly the media's curiosity evaporates when a story points in the wrong ideological direction.

These are the same people who can spot systemic injustice from orbit but suddenly develop cataracts when an uncomfortable headline appears.

Then there's Los Angeles.

Federal agents reportedly descended on Skid Row investigating allegations tied to voter registration fraud.

Think about the symbolism.

California spent years telling us voter fraud was rarer than a unicorn riding a bicycle. Then investigators show up on Skid Row like they're filming a crossover episode between Law & Order and The Walking Dead.

You know what's remarkable?

California will allegedly investigate whether you're sufficiently gay to qualify for certain diversity contracting programs.

California businesses have to go through a “gay-certification” process to receive special contracts meant for gay-owned companies, Christopher Rufo of City Journal reported Tuesday.

If these business owners fail to sufficiently prove their claimed gayness, they may face up to a year in jail, while California’s vetting process for voters is practically nonexistent.

The most remarkable thing about the opening of Barack Obama’s presidential library wasn't who showed up.

It was who didn't.

Nobody.

Not literally, of course. The television cameras found enough dignitaries, donors, former staffers, and professional applauders to fill the frame. But for a man once marketed as a political messiah, the public response resembled the grand opening of a new Department of Motor Vehicles.

No protests. No celebrations. No national conversation.

Just a collective shrug from a country that looked at the event and decided to reorganize its garage instead.

The media desperately tried to present the ceremony as a historic moment. Yet something felt off from the beginning. It was as if everyone involved understood they were participating in a reunion tour for a band whose biggest hits came twenty years ago.

And then Joe Biden arrived.

Watching Biden at these events has become a uniquely American experience. It's like watching a tourist wander into the wrong wedding reception and decide to stay because the food looks good.

The other sees a tax form that hasn't been filled out aggressively enough.

As if a trillion dollars simply appeared one morning in his checking account.

No process.

No risk.

No sacrifice.

No years of being told he'd fail.

Just poof.

A trillion dollars.

The reality is far less magical and far more irritating to his critics.

Musk spent years being mocked by people who have never built anything larger than a political mailing list.

Tesla was supposed to fail.

SpaceX was supposed to fail.

Starlink was supposed to fail.

His purchase of Twitter, now X, was supposed to be the business equivalent of driving a Ferrari into a lake.

The experts assured us.

The analysts assured us.

The journalists assured us.

The politicians assured us.

At one point, the only thing growing faster than Musk's companies was the list of people predicting their collapse.

And here's the remarkable thing.

Every prediction failed.

Every obituary was premature.

Every declaration that Musk had finally overplayed his hand turned into another example of why the people making the predictions should never be trusted with lottery numbers.

And here's the part that really makes Leftists uncomfortable.

The officials involved openly credited not just Trump's current term but his first term as well.

Remember all those sanctions Democrats hated?

Remember all those pressure campaigns they called reckless?

Remember all the experts who assured us maximum pressure wouldn't work?

Funny thing about pressure.

Sometimes it works.

Especially when the alternative is allowing a regime to keep funding terrorism while pretending they're interested in peaceful coexistence.

The briefing described the negotiations as fruitful because of the degradation of Iran's economy and the scattering of its government.

Read that again.

The very conditions Democrats criticized were the conditions that produced the leverage.

It's the geopolitical equivalent of complaining that a diet isn't working while standing on a scale showing you've lost fifty pounds.

One official even joked that the nuclear portion was easier than expected because Iran now needs American technical expertise to clean up the mess.

That may be my favorite sentence in the entire briefing.

For decades Iran's leadership chanted "Death to America."

Now they're apparently calling customer support.

"Hello, yes, we'd like help with the radioactive dust."

That is not exactly the image of a conquering superpower.

And perhaps the funniest part is watching the same people who spent years insisting Trump was a reckless warmonger now complain that he negotiated from a position of strength.

Which one is it?

If he's incompetent, why did Iran sign?

If he's reckless, why is there a deal?

If he had no leverage, why are the Gulf States celebrating?

The administration says regional partners largely support the agreement because they viewed previous arrangements as empowering Iran to be a bad actor.

Translation:

The people who actually live near Iran preferred pressure to appeasement.

Shocking.

Apparently geography still matters.

And while all this is happening, Democrats are left holding the world's most expensive collection of bad predictions.

They predicted Trump would start World War III.

They predicted economic catastrophe.

They predicted diplomatic isolation.

Instead, Iran is signing agreements that basically amount to:

"We promise to behave."

The same regime that spent nearly half a century telling the world it would never bend is now sitting at a negotiating table asking what it must do to regain access to markets.

That's not victory.

That's surrender with paperwork.

And that's why the Left is struggling so hard to explain what just happened.

Right now, the character issue is that Trump’s family continues making money. That his kids are on the boards of companies.

Shocker: the children of a self-made billionaire, none of whom are crackheads cutting illegal deals with the Chinese, are on Boards. And they have thriving businesses, which all of them had PRIOR to Trump being in office.

I want to interject on the Musk valuation, by covering this little story about Iran…

You have to love watching Leftists suddenly discover reality.

For months, maybe years, they have been predicting Donald Trump's foreign policy collapse the way doomsday cults predict the end of the world. Every deadline comes and goes, every prediction explodes on the launch pad, and yet they simply grab a new calendar and start over.

"Trump is going to get us into a war!"

"Trump has no strategy!"

"Iran has him cornered!"

Really? Cornered?

That's an interesting description of a country whose navy got turned into an artificial reef.

A country whose air force became a museum exhibit.

A country whose military leadership was reduced so dramatically that LinkedIn probably started suggesting openings for "Supreme Commander."

Iran wasn't negotiating from a position of strength. Iran was negotiating from a position somewhere between bankruptcy court and a yard sale.

Think about what happened.

Their military capability was shattered.

Their weapons manufacturing was crippled.

Their leadership was decimated.

Their economy was flattened.

Their currency became about as valuable as a Hollywood pledge to move to Canada.

Their oil revenue was squeezed.

Their access to money was restricted.

Their frozen assets remained frozen.

And somehow Democrats kept talking as if Iran was the one holding leverage.

That's like watching a boxer get knocked down twelve times and then hearing the commentators say, "The interesting question is whether the undefeated champion can survive this."

Survive what? The gentle breeze?

According to a media briefing with senior administration officials, the memorandum of understanding that has now been signed boils down to one simple concept:

Behave like a normal country and we'll treat you like a normal country.

Imagine that.

Not exactly the sophisticated diplomatic framework envisioned by the foreign policy geniuses who brought us pallets of cash and strongly worded letters.

The administration's message was remarkably straightforward.

The UFC event at the WH was spectacular. It was like the Super Bowl of fighting, and the commercials alone were worth the price of admission. The UFC event at the White House was spectacular—Super Bowl of striking and grappling, where the commercials alone delivered more knockout value than most fight cards.

Remember when Obama joked that Donald Trump would never be President and Trump hit back by strategically dismantling the entire Democratic Party over a 10 year period culminating with a UFC Fighter announcing that Michele Obama is a man.

And how about that Marine Corps BAND! Super Bowl of elbows and egos, where even the commercials could knock you out. And that Marine Corps Band? They didn’t just play—they dropped the national anthem like it owed them money. And they played all the music, and truly shocked me with how good they were.

I won’t spend a lot of time on this, but I will say that watching fighters showcase their abilities and sportsmanship was something to behold.

It was a toxic masculinity extravaganza. And every one of the fighters thanked President Trump for the event.

I felt like it was Roman times without all the death and sex.

Shout out to the new Secret Service too. Not one single “mysterious” incident where Democrats could try their annual tradition. Smooth, professional, and apparently allergic to letting history rhyme. Refreshing.

These are the people warning that your carbon footprint will murder the planet in a slow apocalyptic bake. The same ones who unleashed a virus, weaponized the panic, and turned it into the perfect mechanism for election interference and pharmaceutical windfalls. Precision timing, wasn’t it?

ICE just pulled 700,000 violent criminals off American streets. Actual predators with rap sheets longer than most congressional careers. Democrats’ response? Defund the agency immediately. Because apparently the real public safety threat is the people removing the threats. They came within striking distance of nominating an actual Nazi for Senate in Maine. Not hyperbole, not online slang — the real article. Yet we’re still lectured daily about which side endangers democracy.

In Los Angeles, the mayor’s race looks like it was decided with the same creative bookkeeping that defines their national playbook. The frontrunner presided over burning streets and an exploding homelessness crisis she swore she would fix. Now Spencer Pratt claims he’s holding audio receipts that could expose the entire operation. Democrats treat clean elections the way vampires treat sunlight — they’ll do anything to keep it away.

Cheating isn’t a tactic for them. It’s the default setting.

And the Trump contortions remain comedy gold. The man who struck Iran’s nuclear ambitions, collapsed their economy, and left them economically gasping is now portrayed as some kind of reckless warmonger desperate to “pay them off” to end a conflict that isn’t even officially a war. The mental yoga required to sell that story should qualify for the Olympics.

They shrug at systemic welfare fraud that drains billions, but the sight of a self-made trillionaire sends them into convulsions. A man who generated that wealth by building products people voluntarily buy — no coercion, no subsidies, no mandates. That offends their sensibilities more than endless dependency schemes. So instead of acknowledging human achievement, they pivot straight to outrage theater. The world’s first trillionaire deserves fireworks. They’re delivering eulogies and pitchforks.

When you live a lie long enough, reality becomes the enemy. And if reality becomes the enemy, eventually the people telling the truth become targets.

Communication is the key. I know that sounds trite, but it is a fact. If you can't communicate with somebody, if you can't let them speak openly without judgment or punishment, the relationship won't survive.

And that is what should give people hope: the Left cannot communicate anymore.

It can chant. It can accuse. It can cancel. It can threaten. It can scream into a camera like the Constitution personally stole its bicycle.

And now we are hearing disturbing details surrounding the man who tried to kill President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.

There is nothing weird, apparently, about Thomas Matthew Crooks emailing a deputy from Butler before the assassination attempt.

Nothing weird about him practicing at the same range used by Homeland Security.

Nothing weird about local police and Secret Service spotting him with a rangefinder, photographing him, texting about him for over an hour, and still letting him climb onto a roof with a rifle.

Nothing weird about the Secret Service not flying drones that day, while Crooks was.

Nothing weird about his body being cremated ten days later before Congress could examine it.

At some point, the official story doesn't even have to be false to be insulting.

Because the pile of coincidences gets so tall it needs aircraft lights.

It's one thing to watch judges thwart President Trump's policy agenda. It is another thing to watch them do it with the subtlety of a brass band falling down a staircase.

So what if the president's immigration policy works? Since when has success stopped a Leftist judge from interfering?

That is what happened with Judge John McConnell, who ordered the Trump administration to restart asylum and immigration processing tied to 39 countries.

A federal judge blocked a Trump immigration policy affecting people from those countries, including applications for asylum, work permits, green cards, and citizenship processing.

And yes, critics point to McConnell's political donation history. If a judge has a long record of political giving and then produces rulings that read like the Democratic Party's emergency brake, Americans are allowed to ask questions.

This is the real problem.

Imagine you're recruiting for the Democratic Party in 2026.

And yet somehow they're still here.

Every week Democrats discover a new hill to die on.

Not a mountain.

Not a strategic position.

A hill.

A tiny, insignificant mound that normal Americans didn't even know existed until Democrats climbed on top of it waving a flag.

The latest example?

President Trump wants to beautify Washington, D.C.

And Democrats are upset.

Think about how remarkable that is.

There are wars.

Inflation concerns.

Crime.

The border.

National debt.

But somewhere in America sits a Democrat operative furiously typing a memo titled: "Why Cleaner Streets Are A Threat To Democracy."

You couldn't parody these people aggressively enough to catch up with reality.

And what fascinates me isn't their insanity. It's their honesty.

They're finally saying the quiet part out loud.

For decades, Democrats wrapped radical ideas in beautiful language.

What a story. Allegations reported in a lawsuit and summarized in reporting by Just the News show that when they SPLC was approached by a former white nationalist who wanted out of the movement, they hired him.

The dude declared that the SPLC had won.

Dude went to the KKK and declared, “I’m done. I would like to return this ideology. Please process my refund.”

When he told the SPLC, they said, “Can we get you to reconsider?!”

Now pause right there, because in normal reality, that is what we call a win.

That’s the moment you spike the football, ring the bell, and maybe even send the guy a fruit basket that says “Congratulations on your life upgrade.”

But instead, the allegation says the system looked at that and said something closer to:

“Wait… don’t go anywhere.”

And this is where it gets almost poetic in its dysfunction.

Because the story isn’t just “they didn’t celebrate the exit.”

The allegation is that they allegedly turned the exit into a job opportunity.

Which is a very modern kind of American efficiency.

Other organizations try to solve problems.

This one allegedly offers the problem a consulting contract.

Think about the psychological elegance of it.

A man says, “I want out of extremism.”

And the response is, “Great news. We’ve upgraded you to ‘ongoing engagement.’”

That’s not de-radicalization.

That’s corporate retention strategy with a morality badge on it.

Somewhere between HR onboarding and Batman hiring the Joker as a “special advisor on chaos mitigation.”

And look, I understand incentives. Everybody understands incentives.

But there is something uniquely American about building an entire moral industry and then discovering that moral success might accidentally threaten payroll stability.

Because if fewer people are extremists… fewer grants get written.

If fewer extremists exist… fewer conferences get hosted.

And if fewer extremists exist… somebody in the back row has to ask the most terrifying question in modern nonprofit history:

“So… what do we do next quarter?”

And that is when ideology meets budget reality.

Now, while that story is unfolding, we have another subplot playing out in Maine that feels like it was written by a committee that ran out of coffee and gave up halfway through proofreading.

There is a Democratic candidate controversy involving a tattoo reportedly linked to Nazi imagery.

And the reaction from parts of the political world has been less “deep concern” and more of a gentle shoulder shrug that says:

“Well… have you seen the polling?”

My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!

I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.

I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.

Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.

We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!

Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??

Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."

Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.

When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.

Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.

People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.

Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.

We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."

Everywhere you look, the people who were supposedly locked into one political tribe for life are starting to ask questions.

So what's driving it?

Two things.

First, the sheer exhaustion that comes from trying to live inside a Leftist fantasy novel. Democrats are outing themselves.

Love him. Hate him. Whether you collect Trump bobbleheads or throw darts at his picture, whatever your preference, you cannot deny that the man changed politics…FOR THE BETTER.

Forget the media or other professional naysayers who gaslight about Trump.

The Trump Effect is a real thing.

And it’s not just a domestic fling; it’s a global phenomenon.

From Europe to South America, leaders are copying the Trump playbook because common sense is making a comeback.

For today, we’re staying stateside. We’re talking about the long game Trump played after what we all know was a coup in 2020.

And recall everything the man went through back then. The humiliation of having to accept defeat to JOE BIDEN.

That’s enough to put many people in a mental institution.

He never stopped swinging. Every time they tried to bury him, he popped up like a Whac-A-Mole with better lawyers and sharper one-liners.

And those punches about the stolen election? They landed then and are landing harder now.
