      <title>Episode 7: Omar Columbus: Providing Veterans Opportunities to Heal through Art</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Omar Columbus is a photographer, poet, curator, advocate, and an Air Force veteran.  A native of Washington, North Carolina, he enlisted after high school and served for 12 years on active duty.  An Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom veteran seeking healing and comfort from PTSD, Omar moved to NYC and lived there for 13 year trying to find where he belonged and how he could help other veterans who were suffering in silence as he was.  Through his poetry and photography, he began to find confidence his art and service have become his creative outlets towards healing. Today he shares with us his experience in the military and his belief in the healing powers of art.

Elenberg advises the Office of the Secretary of Defense on comprehensive strategy for optimizing the well-being and resilience of our Service Members, their families and the entire DoD community. 
She is also an advisor for the Pamlico Rose Total Life Fitness Retreat. Today she shares with us her work and her advice for incorporating wellness and resilience into everyday life.
