Northwestern's magical season has come to an end

There, they fell short against a really good UCLA team that was the 2-seed in the region. The season may be over, but this team deserves to be celebrated. Northwestern Wildcats knocks off top-ranked Purdue Boilermakers

Coming off a couple big road wins, Northwestern finally returned home to take on the nation's top ranked team in Purdue. The Boilermakers, with the nation's best player in Zach Edey, were a tremendously difficult matchup for the Wildcats. Northwestern, however, showed up ready for a brawl. The Wildcats, powered by Boo Buie, hung in there the entire game until Chase Audige caught fire late to take the lead and seal the biggest win in program history.

Coming off the season sweep of Wisconsin, Northwestern is back on the road against Ohio State. The Wildcats will have a chance to get some revenge for the 73-57 beatdown they suffered at home at the hands of the Buckeyes. Thursday's matchup is between two teams trending in different directions. Northwestern has exceeded all expectations. After being picked 13th in the Big Ten in the preseason, the Wildcats find themselves tied for fourth in the league. Ohio State, on the other hand, has limped to a 3-9 conference record and an 11-12 record overall, including a brutal 10-game stretch that resulted in a lone win.

The first week of Northwestern's two-week gauntlet wrapped up on Saturday with a home game against Minnesota. The Wildcats were decently heavy favorites in this one, and they show exactly why right off the bat. Northwestern built a huge first half lead thanks to hot shooting and protecting the basketball. In the second half, maybe some of the fatigue of the week set in, but Northwestern's hot start allowed the Wildcats to cruise to their third straight win of the week. Next up, Northwestern has another week, but this one will be even more of a grind for the 'Cats.

Northwestern rolls over Depaul 83-45

Accolades started to pile up over his career, but today, Skoronski separated himself from every player in Northwestern history with his latest achievement. Now, his buzz continues to grow as he is the most sought after offensive lineman heading into the 2023 NFL Draft. Peter Skoronski has been an anchor for three years for Northwestern, and now, he appears to be a lot of teams' picks to be an anchor on their offensive lines in the NFL.
