We Lied About Scoot Henderson...

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Thu, 5 Mar 2026 23:03:47 +0000

Last video we said that the Portland Trail Blazers were better off letting Scoot Henderson start and finish games in place, or at least alongside Jrue Holiday. After three more games, we could not have been more wrong...

Blazers Need to Let Scoot Henderson Fly | Portland Can't Stop Getting Hurt (Get Well Soon Brooke)

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Fri, 27 Feb 2026 18:31:58 +0000

Scoot Henderson has returned from his hamstring strain like the bottle of lightning we all thought he would be. While he's been far from perfect, the flashes of speed and athleticism he has displayed have warranted him more opportunities and playing time.

More than just letting a young guy play to develop, the Blazers need to use Scoot more in order to win games!

Portland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan has been on a tear as of late. His three-point shooting and defense have been steadily on the rise, which begs the question: Just how high is his ceiling?

Could he be an All-Star? All-NBA? Or is this all just a flash in the pan?

Brad and Jethro break down the dominance of Donovan Clingan in this episode.

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Thu, 12 Feb 2026 17:51:03 +0000

Blazers Do NOTHING at NBA Trade Deadline | What Will Portland Do Now That Scoot Is Back?

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Fri, 6 Feb 2026 00:10:54 +0000

The 2026 NBA Trade Deadline has come and gone and the Portland Trail Blazers made no additional moves other than the trade for Vit Krecji. That still leaves a few question marks as to what's going to happen with Sidy Cissoko and Caleb Love's two-way contracts.

Vit Krejčí Is the PERFECT Addition to the Portland Trail Blazers

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Mon, 2 Feb 2026 22:17:38 +0000

The Portland Trail Blazers addressed a massive need by trading for Atlanta Hawks wing/guard Vit Krejčí. The Blazers are the worst three-point shooting team in the NBA and they add a guy in Krejčí who is a top-20 shooter in the league this season.

The sad part about trading for him was that we as Blazer fans had to say goodbye to Duop Reath, a guy who will go down as one of the most beloved Blazer role players of all time.

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Thu, 29 Jan 2026 01:05:07 +0000

The NBA Trade Deadline is approaching, and the Portland Trail Blazers could be buyers, sellers or neither this time around. Is your favorite Blazer untouchable? Which players circulating in trade news should Portland go after? How about some mock trades involving the Blazers? Everything you could think of in regards to the trade deadline and the Blazers in this episode, plus we'll talk about the recent play of the team, as always.

* Note: We did an additional mock trade segment, but because of the way we recorded it, with graphics on the screen, it didn't make sense to include in audio version. To watch that, go to our YouTube channel - @blazersarecool *(0:00) State of the Blazers

How Do the Portland Trail Blazers Make Room for Sidy Cissoko and Caleb Love? | Where Does Deni Avdija Go in an NBA Full League Redraft?

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Thu, 22 Jan 2026 23:49:53 +0000

The Portland Trail Blazers have a good problem on their hands: they have too many players who are playing well. With the emergence of two-way studs Sidy Cissoko and Caleb Love, who are both more than deserving of standard NBA contracts, comes tough decision for Joe Cronin and the Blazers' front office. Either a trade, multiple trades, or multiple cuts must be made to the current roster to open up two spots. Who will the Blazers move in order to make room?

Then, Brad and Jethro perform a though exercise, mocking what an entire NBA mock draft would look like, trying to figure out just how high Deni Avdija would go given his ludicrously good contract.

Portland Trail Blazers Second Half of Season Hopes | Things Looked Rough Without Deni Avdija

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Wed, 14 Jan 2026 17:26:02 +0000

The NBA season is officially halfway over for your Portland Trail Blazers (which is wild). They ended their first 41 games with a record of 19-22, which, given their multitude of rotating injuries, is not bad at all.

Hopefully the Blazers can gear up for an even better second half of the season; they just need to get Deni Avdija back as quickly as possible to do so.

What are Brad and Jethro's biggest wants for the second half of the season? Take a listen to the episode to find out, we're not going to spoil it here in the description!

Which Current Blazers Could Play in the NBA Finals

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Thu, 5 Jun 2025 18:56:42 +0000

The emerging-from-a-rebuild Blazers have a ton of talent on the roster — a lot of which is unrealized.

There's a few guys on Portland's roster who we know could contribute right now to an NBA Finals level team, one that won't right now but we know will be able to in the future, a handful we think can but aren't sure about, and the rest who we think won't ever make it that far, but we still love.

Who do you think fits where? Compare your pulse on the Blazers to ours in this episode!

Now is Not the Time to Trade Anfernee Simons

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Fri, 9 May 2025 23:23:50 +0000

Blazer fans: what is the one thing that we con unanimously agree the Blazers need to get better at? Three-point shooting. So then why would Portland trade away its best and only certifiably good three-point threat? Doesn't make much sense, right?Amidst another offseason of trade rumors, where fans are clamoring for the Portland Trail Blazers to ship out their longest tenured player for change on the dollar, Brad and Jethro are here to remind fans that Anfernee is the biggest offensive threat the Blazers have right now, and if we get rid of him on a hope and prayer that Scoot and/or Shaedon can become All-Stars, then we may regret it for years and years to come.

jethrosports@gmail.com (BlazersAreCool) — Fri, 18 Apr 2025 23:01:53 +0000

The Portland Trail Blazers doubled down on their dudes and signed Chauncey Billups to a multiyear extension fresh off of the best campaign of his coaching career. Was it the right move? Or is Portland being too complacent? In this episode, Brad and Jethro discuss Chauncey's extension, why they're okay with it, but also the concerns it raises for them moving forward.
