currently spiraling

currently spiraling is a podcast about what happens when life doesn't go according to plan.

hosted by real housewives of orange county original cast member, jo de la rosa, each episode explores the plot twists, setbacks, and unexpected turns we never saw coming.

from fertility journeys and career pivots to relationships, money, aging, self-worth, and starting over, currently spiraling is about the things women quietly spiral about, but rarely say out loud.

through candid conversations, thoughtful interviews, and personal stories, jo explores the moments that leave us questioning everything and wondering what comes next. listeners leave feeling less alone, a little more equipped, and reminded that there is no perfect timeline.

no pretending to have it all figured out. no pressure to have all the answers. just honest conversations with humor, perspective, hope, and a little unhinged energy.

whether you're trying to conceive, navigating a major life transition, questioning your path, grieving the life you thought you'd have by now, or simply adjusting to a chapter you never expected, this show is your reminder that you're not behind. you're simply in the middle of your story.

new episodes every wednesday.

spiraling about infidelity, overthinking, and starting over ft. leslie ryan

what do you do when the thing that feels familiar no longer feels right?

leslie opens up about the relationship she once thought was forever, what it took to finally walk away, and the years of overthinking, self-abandonment, and second-guessing that came with it.

we also talk about losing your voice inside a relationship, being scared of the unknown, starting a completely new career at 40, dating from a very different place now, and why sometimes the biggest fresh start begins when you stop asking everyone else what you should do and start trusting yourself.

if you’ve ever looked at your relationship, career, or entire life and thought, “i need a fresh start,” pull up a chair. you’re at the right table.

spiraling about 45 & trying to get pregnant

because apparently “geriatric pregnancy” is a phrase someone actually decided women needed to hear after 35, and we would personally like to request a rebrand 😂

for a long time, jo’s journey didn’t actually feel rushed.

there was hope, a lot of “let’s just enjoy trying,” some very questionable legs up the wall logic, and a belief that somehow she and Taran would figure out how their baby was supposed to get here.

then came the appointment where jo heard the word “infertile.”

and suddenly all of the noise she’d managed to tune out - age, percentages, timelines, IVF, donor eggs, biological clocks - got a whole lot louder.

we get into what that news did emotionally, the strange guilt that can come with feeling like your body is the reason it isn’t happening, what jo is thinking about donor eggs, and why she’s getting one more opinion before deciding which road she’s actually taking.

mostly, this is for anyone who has ever quietly wondered if they waited too long, felt broken by something their body wouldn’t do, or looked around and thought, “am i the only one going through this?”

you’re not.

<itunes:summary>trying to get pregnant is already emotional. trying to get pregnant when everyone keeps reminding you that time is running out is a whole different spiral.

this week, we’re finally talking about jo’s fertility journey: starting to try later, the judgment around getting pregnant at an older age, finding an unexpected community of women going through the same thing, and what happened when one doctor delivered the news she wasn’t prepared to hear.

because even though this is jo’s story, there are so many women quietly wondering the same things: did i wait too long? what if my body won’t cooperate? and what happens when getting pregnant doesn’t look anything like you thought it would?

because apparently asking for extra rice AND extra sour cream three times a week does eventually have consequences - but the tight underwear might have just been the first clue 👀

this week is a very real, slightly delirious check-in about what happens when we don't feel like ourselves and can't quite pinpoint when everything started going sideways.

there are abandoned routines, questionable life choices, a husband who absolutely got us sick, an attempted clean girl comeback that did not go according to plan, and Kovu silently judging the entire situation from under the sheets.

basically, if you've been having one of those weeks where you feel gross, off, and generally like you need to get it together, pull up a spot on the pink furry blanket. we're right there with you.

this week, we're talking about the kind of exhaustion that doesn't come from one big thing.

it's the emails. the errands. the workouts. the dishes. the calendar notifications. the fifty little things that somehow become one very heavy week.

we talk about the invisible mental load, why rest can feel strangely uncomfortable, and why feeling exhausted doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong.

because sometimes nothing falls apart. and somehow, we're still completely wiped.

if you've ever wondered why life feels so hard even when everything is technically okay, welcome to the group chat. you're probably not the only one.

this week, we're talking about the spiral that starts with one thought.
