Lawrence Butler delivered the game-winning single off Aroldis Chapman, snapping Chapman’s run of 50 consecutive batters retired without a hit or run allowed since July 23.

The show highlights the historic night for two of the A’s brightest young stars:

Shea Langeliers launched his 30th home run of the season, joining Terry Steinbach as the only catchers in A’s history with 30 homers in a single season while catching at least half the games.
Nick Kurtz followed with his own 30th homer, becoming only the third A’s rookie ever to reach that mark, alongside the legendary Bash Brothers Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco. Kurtz reached 30 homers in just 102 Major League games, ranking seventh fastest among active players to reach the milestone.
