Life Gone Real

Life can sometimes be hard. We all have real issues to deal with, good and bad. ’Life Gone Real' is bringing out real stories with special guests that will share their truths to help inspire, encourage, and uplift us all. Just knowing you’re not going through life’s craziness alone is half the battle. Together we’ll talk about marriages, relationships, dating, family, kids and so much more. We’ll be getting vulnerable, open, and honest in each episode as we talk about how we’ve gotten through, or sometimes how we are still getting through. Hopefully, you'll feel like you can get through whatever throws at you and you are not alone.

Ronna DeAnn is a 'Southern Belle' who lives in California with her 2 kids and their dad. One of her ‘Life Gone Real’ moments hit her hard at the beginning of 2020. That gave her even more of a drive and passion to help inspire and encourage women and men of all ages to keep pushing through when life gets real and not feel alone in this world. She loves to connect with people, share her electric energy and heart. You can connect with her more on Instagram, Youtube, and all her social media platforms.

In this episode, I share a recap of all that’s happened in the last year and what I have learned transitioning into a new life and also share some tips that have helped me move forward into transitioning after divorce.

<itunes:summary>Christi Hoehn is a below-knee amputee and 10-year lung cancer survivor! She strives to be an inspiration by being her authentic self. She shares her inspiring/moving story and journey with me in this episode. Talk about a “LIFE”! She shares how to live to the fullest…with whatever life throws at you.

She’s known as “The Table Grilling Lady”, having developed a new way to cook and entertain that turns dinner time into fun for family and friends. She’s building her brand “Talk of the Table Company” and teaching people how to make meals more meaningful by cooking together at the table.

She’s an artist, mom, and grandma, the only limitations that we have are between our ears. She’s getting back into prosthetics and will be walking soon after 15 years! You can follow her journey as she gets back to walking and trains for her very first 5k wheelchair race by following the hashtag #TeamChristi on Facebook and Instagram.</itunes:summary>

She's a realtor, investor, and entrepreneur, and advocate for women, she's a wife and a dog mom.

Suzi and I continue our conversations about her love story with her husband. How her husband moved from a different country just for her. We go more in-depth about her marriage and the things they have learned and gone through and share the things that they are still working on.

We share theories on the seven-year cycle or you may have heard it called the seven-year itch and the cycles of traumas.

Tips we highlight on
- How to hold space for your partner
- How marriage is similar to two cars driving on a highway.
- What is the definition of a wife and a husband
- How trust and communication are such a huge part of a relationship.

Susie and I have an amazing conversation about why most men date better than women and how women fall in love for the wrong reasons. We share theories on how women need to let go and go with the flow; how to live an organic life and not try to be in control for certainty; how to really live life with an open heart and go with the flow while seeing all the opportunities life brings you. We also share the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ of dating for both men and women; our own dating stories and how she met her husband of 8 years.

- How women can let go of control
- How to be careful and not get married for the wrong reasons
- How to love fall in love with “potential”
- What women really want in a man
- Dating tips for both men and women

She shares her story of what it was like when she and her husband had their first baby during the COVID 19 lockdown. We talk about her fears and how she pushed through them and the mental strength she gathered to bring her newborn baby boy into the world during a virus pandemic. We talk about how quarantine before birth prepared her for a newborn and how she and her husband bonded as a married couple while having their first born. It’s a beautiful inspiring story for all and definitely for all new mommy’s out there going through similar situations.

Life Gone Real - Ep 4: Love is more than a feeling

In this episode, I have life coach Lauren Rush on the show with me. She is very knowledgeable on several topics and one of those topics is marriage. She was a marriage educator for over 20 years for many couples and women.

We discuss if marriages can really last in today's time. We go back in time a little and share about how marriages and family were back in the '50s and '60s compared to how things have changed today. Have our standards been set to perfection? And how realistic are our standards?
• The “I” vs. “we” generation
• How hard is it to commit these days?
• Is love really a choice?
• We all marry the wrong person but how do we grow in loving our partners as we grow & evolve in our own personal changes in life's journey.

We also discuss how to take care of yourself because you’ve got to be complete within yourself to really give and nourish a relationship or marriage. You are in control of your own happiness, not your partner or spouse.
