In this episode, British-born musician, producer and sound engineer, Jeep Hook, tells us about how the music business has changed since the early 1980’s. He’ll give us some tidbits on what it was like to tour with the band Talk Talk, and how his journey went from England to L.A. and landed in the hip hop capital of the South. There’s some notes about his jazz singer first wife who had several hit songs, high jinks that happened while on the road, and a couple of celebrity interactions. And he’ll give us a healthy drink recipe, which we'll enhance with a little vodka.
S1E7 Trevor Irvin - Artist, Illustrator

In this episode Illustrator Trevor Irvin talks about his career as an illustrator from working for a newspaper to creating the mascot for the 1996 Paralympic Games. He’s got a rousing tale about some unexpected behavior from an art school model, and clues us in why he started drawing political cartoons in the last few years.

In today's episode, we interview each other - Stephanie and Mria - your hosts with the mosts.

We start with our favorite cocktails and walk you through some of the highlights of our creative lives.

Why are we doing this podcast? Who is it for? And who are WE?

Is Stephanie a painter or a puppet maker? Will she be sculpting a little head today or designing a costume for an upcoming play?

How about Mria - will she be working on a novel, editing a podcast or producing a health and wellness video today?

All good questions. And that's just us.

Every Tuesday at cocktail hour, we'll talk to a person of interest in the Arts.

They'll tell us why they chose their field, hit the highlights of their career, and clue us in on what they're doing now. They'll drop advice for folks who might want to go into their line of work. And add in a behind-the-scenes tale or two that will make you laugh.

BTW, if you're sensitive to colorful language, just know that we talk the way we talk. We certainly don't swear like sailors, but a spicy word will definitely find its way in, here and there.

And if you're wondering exactly what Generation Jones is....we'll answer that, too!

Hope you enjoy our podcast.

Follow us on Instagram

Follow us on Facebook

TikTok
