The Life Event:

Adam flies to Atlanta the morning after the LA live show with a hangover that can only be remedied in the Delta lounge bathroom.

The Recipes:

MIAMI VICE

Ingredients

2 oz rum, divided
1 cup strawberries, chopped
1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 oz simple syrup
2 oz cream of coconut
2 oz pineapple juice
Garnish: pineapple slice

Steps
In a blender, add 1 ounce of the rum, strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup and 1 cup crushed ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a hurricane glass and set in the freezer. Wash and dry the blender thoroughly. In the clean blender jar, add the remaining 1 ounce of rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice and 1 cup crushed ice and blend until smooth. Pour into the hurricane glass that already contains the Strawberry Daiquiri, creating a layered effect. Garnish with a pineapple slice.

BOURBON PEACH SMASH

Ingredients

1/2 to 1 oz brown sugar simple syrup (see note)
1/2 large peach , diced (about 1/2 cup)
3-4 large mint leaves
2 oz bourbon
splash ginger beer (preferred) or seltzer water , chilled
ice
fresh mint and peach slices , for garnish

Steps
Add peaches, mint leaves, and simple syrup to the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle to release the peach juices and mint oils. (Over-muddling the mint will cause it to become bitter.) Add bourbon, fill the shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Top with ginger beer or seltzer water. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and a peach slice.

GOLDEN GLOVE

Ingredients

2 oz white rum
1 tsp Cointreau
1/2 oz lime juice
1 tsp sugar
Garnish: half or whole lime wheel

Steps
Add the rum, Cointreau, lime juice and sugar into a shaker w/ ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh crushed ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

THE GREY FOX - Anders Erikssen

1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz rich earl grey syrup**
3/4 oz aquafaba (chickpea or white bean water)
2-3 oz Fever Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water
Lemon zest for garnish
This is great with a sprig of thyme or lavender too!

Steps
Dry shake lemon juice and earl grey syrup. Pour into glass with ice.
Add aquafaba. Carefully top with tonic water-the aquafaba will foam up!
Garnish

**RICH EARL GREY SYRUP

200g strong earl grey tea
400g granulated sugar
Steep 4-6 earl grey tea bags in 200g (~1 cup) boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Remove tea bags and add sugar. Over low heat, stir until sugar is dissolved (don't boil!). Remove from heat and let cool.
