Finally, after weeks of speculation and rumors, the Philadelphia 76ers passed on Rutgers' Ace Bailey and selected Baylor guard VJ Edgecombe with the 3rd pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Bailey was eventually selected No. 5 overall by the Utah Jazz. It's been reported that Bailey did not want to go to Utah but the team selected him anyways.

Zack Wheeler threw six strong innings, giving up just one solo homerun to Keibert Ruiz. MacKenzie Gore was even better, striking out 12 Phillies hitters in six innings. Plus, John Tortorella is OUT as the Flyers Head Coach. Brad Shaw will take over interim duties for the rest of the year.
