The WNBA and WNBPA have officially extended the CBA deadline again.. The first 30-day extension expired on November 30th, only for both sides to push negotiations into January 9th, 2026.. right before the Unrivaled season begins. The back and forth between a 24 hour extension, a 21-day counter, and eventually a 40-day request shows just how disconnected this process has become. The union made it clear they expect substantive movement from the league, while the league’s latest proposal includes massive salary increases, revamped revenue sharing, and a projected $1M base max salary starting in 2026.

But with expansion drafts on hold, free agency frozen, and nearly the entire league set to become unrestricted free agents, every delay puts more pressure on the WNBA to finalize a deal. Fans are exhausted, players are frustrated, and the league is running out of time to protect the momentum women’s basketball has built.. especially with the rise of Caitlin Clark and a new wave of stars driving unprecedented growth. Whether revenue sharing and prioritization rules can be resolved before the window closes remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the WNBA cannot afford a lockout in 2026.

But almost immediately, players pushed back, with additional reporting revealing that the “$1.1M” figure wasn’t actually a base salary at all.. it was a bonus-dependent number, with the true base closer to $850K. WNBA Offers Necessary CBA Extension To Avoid Lockout.. But The Players STILL Aren’t Happy.

Today we have some WNBA CBA updates… the never ending CBA negotiations continue and the official deadline for the league. The WNBA has offered players a 30 day extension for a new collective bargaining agreement. The extension would allow both sides more time to work toward a new deal. A source said players would be open to the extension to avoid a work stoppage under the right circumstances, but those circumstances do not exist.

Basically the players at this point in time are saying they’re not sure if they’re even going to accept the offer of an extension. They can either accept the extension offered, not take the extension but continue negotiating in good faith, OR thirdly… the players could strike, OR the owners can initiate the lockout.

NBA Opening Week RUINED By Gambling Scandal.. Is The WNBA Next!?

Today we have to talk about this gambling scandal that is currently happening in the NBA. There is sports betting, illegal poker games, there’s mafia ties. It’s absolutely insane.

FBI Director Kash Patel held a press conference where he spilled the beans on everything that’s going on. He said the fraud is mind boggling, its tens of million in fraud, theft and robberies across a multi year period.

Damon Jones and Chauncey Billups were allegedly part of rigged poker games. There were X ray machines built into tables to read face down cards, there were contact lenses and glasses that were able to read pre marked cards, and there were also secret cameras in the card trays. The Poker games also has ties to the mafia, which explains why the FBI is now involved.

Stephen A also made some interested comments about President Trump, Kash Patel, and why he thinks the WNBA might be investigated next.

Today we have a good old update video for you guys… But I want to talk to you guys about this article ESPN recently published titled “WNBA owners, insiders on Cathy Engelbert, officiating, CBA”

Owners talked about the ongoing feud between Napheesa Collier and Cathy Englebert and the potential fallout from this fight. Its been relatively quiet since we’ve last heard from any of them and the CBA agreement deadline is quickly approaching on October 31st and its looking like that date with obviously have to be extended. We break down the article and reveal some SPICY quotes about the ongoing drama in the league and how this might all play out.

The AP came out with a greatest college basketball players of all time list. The 1st team included: Caitlin Clark, Diana Taurasi, Cheryl Miller, Breanna Stewart and Candace Parker. The teams were based on positions and the second team unit was: Sue Bird, Dawn Staley, Maya Moore, Chamique Holdsclaw and Louisa Harris. Naturally, people took to the internet to express their dissapointment with Caitlin Clark being selected 1st team…

If the Indiana Fever have to play a 7 game series against the Phoenix Mercury it might become the most toxic WNBA Finals ever. The entire DeWanna Bonner with the Fever this year, plus the matchup earlier this year where we saw DB talking smack to Lexie, there is a LOT of bad blood. We also finally got the news on Cheryl Reeve’s fine… Cheryl was fined $15K for her outbursts on Friday night.

The WNBA clearly needs to make a change, just ask Cheryl Reeve after last night’s game. In the final moments of Game 3 of the semi-finals between the Mercury and Lynx, Alyssa Thomas collided with Naphessa Collier and scored on a fast break, a play that should’ve been called a foul. The crash out by Cheryl Reeve was EPIC. But I am dumbfounded by the amount of people and professionals that are saying this was not a foul. Cathy Englebert NEEDS to come out and address these issues and STOP hiding behind fines and suspensions. Unless real change is made to the officiating in the WNBA, the league will fail to put out a good product.

The Indiana Fever mounted a franchise-record comeback, rallying from 21 points down to beat the Connecticut Sun 99–93 in overtime! Kelsey Mitchell delivered a career-high-tying 38 points, including 10 clutch points in OT to carry the team. Aliyah Boston added a historic 14 points and 13 rebounds double-double — the most in a single season in Fever history.

Head Coach Stephanie White got emotional in the locker room about how proud she was of this Fever team. In whats been an up and down season, this was a hard fought win to keep the team in playoff contention.

Our hearts also go out to Sophie Cunningham, who exited in the second quarter with a knee injury. No official word yet, but we’re staying hopeful for her recovery.
