How to manifest your visions: Jack’s ideal life did not come about just because he’s lucky! He has practiced the laws of attraction in alignment with Spirit and he gives us updated tips and shortcuts! For example use EVERY sense-not just sight. He covers his whole door with images of what he wants. He shared stories of how this has manifested in his life.

Archangels! Jack has led thousands of trainings. Once he started placing five Archangels around the room, he said his trainings transformed and felt like there was greater spiritual protection there! He learned this from the Kabballah. He utilized in particular Archangels Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel and Metatron. If you’d like to know what this feels like, listen or watch the episode!

The Golden Temple and More Angels We also talked about how Jack senses them as amorphous and ethereal but very present and a bridge to higher guidance. I do as well. They are formless but knowable. Chase is an incredible fusion of super businessman and super creative, and I was so moved by his authenticity and warmth. He’s releasing his newest book, Never Play It Safe, on October 8th, and it challenges the illusion of safety in such a bold, profound way. I’ve read it, and let me tell you—it’s amazing.

• Chase shares two incredible quotes that frame his book: one from Helen Keller about how security is mostly a superstition, and another from himself—“The safest path is often the most dangerous as it keeps you from discovering your true potential.” We all know the quote, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all,” but that first part, about security, is the real mic-drop moment.
• How he’s gone from being captain of the football team, dating the cheerleader, and following society’s "safe" path to rediscovering his creativity—starting with inheriting his grandfather’s camera—and creating a career that honors his unique gifts.
• The ways we are conditioned to follow “safe” paths and how that conditioning limits our potential.
• We talk about failure—how it’s not something to avoid but something to embrace. Chase even tells the story of Everest climber Melissa Arnot Reid, who shifted from thinking, “I’m afraid to fail,” to, “I’m afraid not to live.”
• We discuss the power of directing your attention—not seeking it from others but learning to focus on what really matters, a skill Chase honed through both business and creative endeavors.

NYC literary agent and publishing maven, Lucinda Halpern, joined me for a fabulous, show which I truly LOVED! We went way deeper and higher than either of us expected to. Lucinda shares amazing childhood experiences as a performer, realizing how writing her book brought her full circle to the innate talents and aspirations she’d always had. In fact, I did a meditation at the end to help us all reclaim our innate childhood gifts. It left all of us in the studio in tears. You can utilize it to draw the optimism and innate talent of your brave, magical child into a dynamic NOW. 

I surprised her with a question inspired by the inimitable and much beloved Patty Gift, publisher of Hay House, both Lucinda’s and my publisher. Patty said the person who finishes the book is not the one who started it. So true for me (I turn my manuscript in Monday!) and it was true for Lucinda. She shared about the transformative nature of writing a book, leading her to recount her unexpected path to becoming an author. 

We discuss writing mindset-how to have confidence in your calling and ability to be an author. We discourse upon finding confidence and perseverance in the face of rejection. We explored the importance of understanding the business and marketing side of publishing, including building a platform and knowing your audience

I share my journey of finding an agent ( I was with the incredible Bill Gladstone who sadly passed in December) and becoming a published author. I recount how I built my platform over time, engaging with my audience and learning to see marketing as a means of serving and connecting with others. 

Lucinda asked what one moment inspired me to write a book and I share a deeply personal story that ignited my passion for sharing my work with Angels, to bring relief, resilience and rapture to others, as I had received lifelong.

Sometimes the reason we don’t soar more in spirit is because our basic, or younger self is not feeling stable, grounded. 

In this meditation we ground first, in the most delightful way, by touching into this golden orb, called the T’whan, which is a word from a mystical mystery school that is no longer on the planet. 

We go deep within Mother Gaia, touching into the T’whan gaining the courage and strength to go on and thrive. 

And now we have the foundation to feel secure to soar into the high heavens! And so we do, going up through the realms of light. Knowing that the bridge between heaven and earth is…us!

We discuss how surrender is dynamic and powerful, about being and living in a high state of loving cooperation with the inner highest voice. Kute has been preaching since he was 8 years old! He shares about his father, the Miracle Man of Africa, who healed the blind, and the infirm weekly-yes it's really true and it's all about faith. We spoke of being from radically different parents (Mine are Indian and an American Southern Bell. His are African (father) and a Japanese mother who were opposites yet agreed to marry before seeing each other because they knew it to be God's will - it was all about surrender! Both our beautiful mothers died recently and so we talk about how to grieve in a healthy, holy way and how we both connect to loved ones who have moved on.

 We talk about the neuroscience of self-loving and compassion in a way that is accessible, uplifting and convincing to the part of us that is not exactly thrilled with the idea of...changing (even for the better). 

With  tips, resources and encouragement to jump into the arms of loving always waiting to embrace us if we would but open our heart just 5% more.

The weekend before our interview, I watched a delightful documentary with the Dalai Llama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, called Mission Joy. I so recommend it! This incredible love between the head of Buddhism and the one of the heads of Christianity two supposedly at odds religions will make you laugh, cry and hug anyone (hopefully yourself) in your vicinity.

I was moved by the story of how the Dalia Llama had to flee his country as a teenager on horseback, facing imminent capture, almost freezing to death and knowing he was likely seeing his beloved homeland for the last time. Employing a beautiful Buddhist technique of reframing (most of us are familiar with it but did not know the roots of it!), looking for the good in seeming tragedy. By the time he arrived in India he had decided the exile was a good thing! Those who received him were stunned to see how calm he was after such a harrowing journey.

Shauna has met and worked with His Holiness and I asked her about her experience with him which she generously shared. As expected, his presence was transformative for her. Not because he is a god (somedays he does not want to be the Dalai Llama) but because he PRACTICES what he wants to increase-loving, compassion, joy, for hours a day.

Shauna shared her story of coming to mindfulness and meditation originally, like most of us, to get out of pain. It worked and with it gave her a lifelong tool for joy and passion to share her good practices (and fortune). She then shared how knowing the science behind rewiring our brain, both explains and encourages us to practice what we want to experience.

We think we are at the effect of our world but we are much more at the effect of our neurons. Though we are born with a 'happiness set point' (the point at which we return after a life changing event) that is determined by our genetics and conditioning, thanks to neuroplasticity, we can change it.

As Shauna talked about, what we practice becomes stronger, our repeated experience shapes our brain. If we want more positivity we have got to practice it so that instead of positivity being a path we need to forge with machetes to get to joy, it becomes a superhighway and the momentum caries us that way. This is good news!

So HOW can we get better? Shauna gives a brilliant tip on changing just 5%.
