Nate discusses an odd way him and his high school GF broke up which entails his first experience with "bud", a German exchange student-run dance, his arm getting licked, as well as life advice he'll never forget. On today's episode, Nate and Mitch discuss some tasty brews that Nate is sippin' on. Nate has never fully watched a fast and furious movie. Episode 36 is getting Nate and Mitch PUMPED to be talking on mic about their lives today. We're glad you've joined as well.

Today we dive into a few important things. We start things off with Mitch's ribs still hurting to the point of him feeling fully cramped up. Nate recalls a story where him and his friends brought the party with a special shot. Mitch happens to have the ingredients for said shot, and he decides to mix one up for himself. It goes over really well! The boys end up talking about some movie favorites of theirs.

Finally, FINALLY, the day has come to talk about "The Pump". Mitch goes over his thoughts regarding a gift our previous guest and friend, Brandon, was kind enough to provide him for free. Multiple stories, Mitch's own review and suggestions, and we see what other people are thinking about it. It wouldn't be an episode of Nate and Mitch without The Sopranos being mentioned. We end up talking about impressing our parents and grandparents with our stupid tricks as kids. Skateboarding and THPS (That's Anthony Hawk's Professional Skateboarders for those uninitiated) get some reminiscent talks about how fond we were of those things.

Nate and Mitch, more like Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey! We start things off by talking about Mariah holding Nick as a baby and there is photographic evidence of it. Welcome to episode 26 of Nate and Mitch are Friends: The Great Conjunction.

Nate and Mitch, Mitch and Nate, Natch and Mite. Any way you slice it, they are friends. This week things start off with Mitch getting upset with the thought of people not understanding the science of room temperature. Nate talks about Resident Evil 4 and some glitches that speedrunners use, but anyone can do. The Navy may use jet-skis, but the Airforce (and the bruhs within it) use Jetskis while sippin' brewskis with their broskis. Mitch talks about being tongue tied as a child and a kid he knew who had the same issue and used their extra length of tongue to pick-n-slurp. Mitch talks about his love for fighting sports and some observations he's made over the years. Things get serious when a discussion about Bob Barker ensues. Technical difficulties interrupt a very serious and emotional moment which brings the end of the episode.

Episode 25, and we're feeling alive!

Nate and Mitch have done many episodes, but this one is special. There is a special event that happens just under 50 minutes. You'll have to hear it to believe it!

Anyways, on to business. Badlands Chugs would be a gooner if he knew about us. He doesn't, but we love him for his many chugs that have brought us joy AND hot dog eating contests. Dog humor and chef humor combine to make a beautiful hot dish. Nate doesn't know what google is, so Mitch becomes his google machine for the pressing questions he has. How could one, Howard Dean, screech so loud that it ended his entire political career? There have been a few episodes where Nate had to cut huge sections of his audio due to a couple two/three brews. The Zipper Piss Pass debacle runs rampant again when Mitch brings up his peeing habits. Mitch encourages Nate to lean more in to dad humor. Finally, we end things by talking about some embarrassing stories.

Episode 24! Need we say more?

The GT30(Oh!) is finished. We made it 30 days alcohol free (well, pretty close anyways). We cut it a little short because to go through a whole 30 days would have ended on a monday, we didn't want to record on a monday, so we'll call it 30, but it was really 27.

Needless to say, heavenly sips of brews are flowing throughout this episode as we start to unwind and hang loose. Nate talks about how Christians throughout America are remaining ignorant, continuing to gather in crowds, no distancing, or following guidelines during a pandemic. The boys bring up a particular demon looking televangelist (still spreading lies and remaining active today) and his likeness to a movie villain. Nate brings up his hate for a particular metal drummer that, for some reason, he feels the need to listen to every few months just to torture himself. Mitch brings up some music he listens to that he hates as well. After many minutes of the two venting frustrations, things end on some lighter notes. Namely: is there a dominant/recessive genes for you butthole? In other words, who's DNA shapes your B-hole, and does that make a difference on your fart sounds?

That's about it on this one. We hope you enjoy it! Overall, it was good to take a break from drinking and experience a little cleanse for a while. It's made us appreciate the finer things in life.

Something that's been giving Mitch strength while remaining sober is the 8 Clown Commandments. He's just been ignoring all the clown stuff. We may adapt it for the 8 Goon Commandments. Nate talks about having a memory, but not really having a memory of a block of time where he bought his fair share of gas station sandwiches. We move into an interesting character Mitch has made, discuss weird logic we had as kids, and some strange encounters of the desperate kind that Mitch's apartment seems to have fallen victim to along with some male friends. Nate potentially offends 2 groups of people with a tight five opener. Dave, a listener, sends us a "toy" review to have a look at. So, it's almost like Adam&Eve reviews are back.

We keep this episode fairly short and sweet. At least compared to some of our long episodes. Legally, episode-wise, Nate and Mitch can FINALLY drink, aaaaand they're going to refrain from it for 30 days. The Goon Tribe 30 (GT3*Sopranos OH*) This is The Goon Tribe's version of "Sober October" except we just picked a random time to do it. Feel free to join us!

After the first few minutes having a full on discussion about alcohol, Nate and Mitch talk about "Entering the void". You'll understand when you hear it. Nate talks about some hardcore bands who have some vocal breakdowns that are a little laughable, but also bad ass at the same time. Separating the art from the artist is a hard thing to do, but we talk about Bill Cosby anyways. Things take a bit of a serious turn when we dive into religion. Specifically Christianity and how Nate walked away from it a few years ago and some of the reasons he did that. Things lighten up after the boys get nuts deep in the ball pit, or balls deep in the nut pit (if you prefer). Mitch talks about hitting golf balls and blasting fireworks with a childhood friend. New segment? Punchy and the Fat Lip: two radio hosts that riff off of each other like a couple of idiots. Mitch gets hooked up with some free coffee and maybe a boyfriend? He also recalls a few times in his life where a female has asked him out. Things close out with Mitch helping out a friend by serving papers and having an awkward interaction because of it.

Halloween is upon us, and Nate and Mitch are feeling spooky!

The boys start things off by discuss wrestling by tying it in to their last weeks discussion. We're tanning specific parts of the body while sounding like Obama. After a few opening bits of banter, we get into the topic at hand: Halloween. Candy, dressing up, trick 'r treating, etc. We cover it all and having the fillings to show for it! Tight five returns with maybe a tweet edition? You be the judge. It also gets completely derailed by a joke not exactly being worded correct. The Goon Tribe t-shirt idea? We got those. After a classic Mitch pee break, we get into talking about a particular librarian we both had. We also talk about a different name for balls by a recalled childhood story from Mitch. The legend of the robot voice comes out to play and finish the episode out.

We did it! We finally made it to episode 19! We made it this far and this heaping trash fire of a train will never stop rolling!

This episode dives right in to Mitch looking divorced and defeated. Quarantine has made us lose all sense of time and hygiene. What we are saying is, we can't recall the last time we showered. There's a particular musk the body gets when remaining unclean for extended periods of time. Also, pugs smell like corn chips. Nate watched Lords of Chaos and doesn't recommend anyone see it. Mitch watched Lady Snowblood and highly enjoyed it. Nate having some weird interactions based on the tattoos he has. This leads into a conversation surrounding paranormal instances, unexplained occurrences, or general oddities they have witnessed. Do we believe? Do YOU believe? Speaking of believe, can you believe early 1900s writer, James Joyce, was a brap herder? Let's just say he was no stranger to r/brapbarn. Hell, he may have pioneered it. Finally, since we brought up braps, we have to talk about farting in school. It happens to the best of us AND to the rest of us.

On this episode, the boys discuss a number of things from playing pinball to career aspirations. The pinball talk sparks a memory of Nate's father playing pinball while blasting 70s/80s tunes loud and proud. Nate felt the need to capture the state of disarray by video on his phone with full commentary of the morning after chaos.

Mitch and his roommate Luke invent something they like to call "The Straight Man 69". You'll have to see/hear about it to believe it. Although, I don't know if you'd want to. First and foremost, this episode was recorded on the birthday of the only person we truly care about, James Gandolfini. May he rest in peace. Because this was one of our heroes' birthdays, Nate cracks open a Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA he has been aging for 3 years in memoriam.

The boys veer off into a conversation revolving around an old sega genesis game known as "Skitchin'". The soundtrack to this 1994 classic absolutely rips and shreds like only a rad 90s soundtrack could. Kanye West is back and tweeting up a storm with his odd toilet grammy video. Mitch gets a promotion at work, and we're all so proud of him! Stories from days of old are once again brought to the forefront of the minds of these two young gentlemen. One regarding great music and bad breath, the other about a first time college party experience. Other odds and ends are remembered as Nate and Mitch trade a few more stories about some buds and their reactions to a specific type of "tea".

According to Fred Durst, Woodstock '99 was some of the "phattest" shit he's ever seen. We agree! Can this type of Nu Metal exist in a modern day setting? We explore that. Then things take a turn for the absurd. Mitch recalls seeing a "film" with a very haunting quotable, "Hector, what if I pop?" A dive into youtube cartoons brings us to Meatcanyon and his excellent surreal style of modern day dark comedy shorts that reminded us of the Newgrounds days of old. What's better than a cold hot dog straight from the package on a hot summer day? It was one of Mitch's favorite childhood summer snacks! Speaking of snacks, cracker munchies are Nate's worst nightmare when it comes to stony treats. A fateful tale where all that was left in the pantry was a single, solitary, snackpack of Cheez-Its is recalled from the recesses of Nate's marijuana memory banks of days past. Nate and Mitch are Working on Their Tight Five

In this all new hour of chatting, we discuss Adam Sandler films and whether nostalgia plays a factor into how much we enjoyed said movies vs. how good they truly are. A new adlib for hip hop is discovered (Goon Cave Money). Nate and Mitch talk about anime and a few of their favorites. The Sopranos saga continues as Mitch works his way through the various seasons. Mitch's take on "Compliments to the Chef" doesn't quite land in a real life scenario. One of life's interesting observations gets brought up in the form of a question by Nate: Why do cigarette smokers ONLY drink Mountain Dew? This question sparks a memory from Mitch where he recalls the piss bottle saga, and how a joke can be taken to the extremes in certain cases. The moral of the story is to drink water. Are Facebook arguments worth it? Can there be reasoning between screens? The answer is no, but why not try, right? Especially if the argument can easily be solved by a quick Google search. This week comes to a close with the introduction of a new segment. We call it, "The Tight Five." Quick jokes, observations, and general comedy is explored in order to build up enough material to eventually hop on an open mic and perform a few minutes of stand-up.
