Connor Goldsmith is a podcaster, and writer. In 2020, Connor launched the independent podcast CEREBRO, a character-by-character exploration of Marvel’s X-Men comic book franchise. CEREBRO was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 10 best podcasts of 2021, and hailed that year by Ezra Klein as one of his favorite podcasts. In 2022, Connor and his work on CEREBRO were profiled in The New York Times. By 2024, the podcast had achieved over 3 million downloads. His comics debut Did You Hear About Mimi Green? — a horror collaboration with artist Josh Cornillon and letterer Ariana Maher — is forthcoming from Dark Horse in May 2026.

Together the two run The Kibitz, the show where a pedantic yapper and a bimbo genius chitchat about whatever the hell they want, often digging into the latest happenings in culture, dissect the news, and simply queen out.

Stephen Farruggia has been involved in live performance theatre for over 30 years. His theatrical resumé consists of over 120 theatrical productions. Studying education and psychology, Stephen has worked as a theatre director and educator in several schools, most recently as the Drama Director at Steven’s High School in Rapid City.

Stephen's talents can be seen as an actor, director, producer, technical director and set designer. He also shares his gifts as a talented playwright as well, having written 20 original scripts and adaptations. He can sort of be found on Instagram here.

Bridgett Farruggia has been making costumes since she was a little girl. Once she discovered her passion for sewing, she earned her degree in fashion design while also working in the costume shop in the college theatre program. She lived in Italy while studying fashion for a part of her education which allowed her to tour and research historic fashions. She currently costumes all of Seraphim theatrical’s productions. She also creates custom costumes, wedding gowns and fashions for people all over the US. You can find her cosplay on Instagram here.

Alyssa Wong writes award-winning fiction, comics, and games. They are a story architect of Star Wars: The High Republic and co-authored the middle-grade novel Escape From Valo (2024).  

Alyssa's comics include Marvel's Psylocke, Deadpool, Alligator Loki, Captain Marvel, Iron Fist, and the GLAAD Award-winning Doctor Aphra Vol 2; Spirit World and Batman: Urban Legends; and titles for Dark Horse and IDW. Previously, Alyssa was a writer at Blizzard Entertainment, where they worked on Overwatch and Overwatch 2. They live in North Carolina and are online as @crashwong.

Aly Moon (@Alymoonnn) is a Tennessee-based cosplayer, nail artist, lifelong Marvel nerd, and proud X-Men enthusiast. When she’s not bringing superheroes to life through cosplay or creating nerdy nail art, she’s probably found in her garden (because every good mutant needs a soft, earthy side too).

Nicholas Woody, also known as TheComicCosplayer, is an extremely passionate cosplayer who loves bringing characters to life. Nightcrawler, Sentry, Ash Williams, and Mister Miracle are just a few examples of his portrayals. From horror movies like Evil Dead and The Shining, to comics such as Moon Knight, the new Marvel Ultimate Comics, and DC Black Label/Vertigo, and even gaming titles like Marvel Rivals and Dead by Daylight, to fandom-related content creation, Nicholas has fully embraced the geek lifestyle. When he's not traveling, creating, gaming, or thrifting, Nicholas enjoys the convention scene! Once a theater kid, always a theater kid—Nick’s love for cosplay evolved from his love for acting and theater. Cosplay allows you to be whoever you want to be rather than hoping to play the role you want, which really drew him to the hobby. Formerly based in Texas, and now residing in central Tennessee, Nicholas looks forward to a bright future with his fiancé Aly as they share their passions together in geekdom.

Jason Loo is an Eisner Award–winning cartoonist and comics creator based in Toronto, Canada. He recently wrote the words and songs for the Dazzler mini series, a four-issue mini-series celebrating Marvel’s glittering mutant songstress as she hits the road in a globetrotting adventure.

In addition to Dazzler and Werewolf By Night: Red Band line, and he penned The Undead Iron Fist, a limited series exploring the rebirth of Danny Rand and the Iron Fist legacy and also the X-Vengers, the totally bonkers fun Avengers story set in the Age of Revelation.

Jason also illustrated Hulk Not Smash: Practicing Mindfulness the Mighty Marvel Way, bringing his distinctive visual storytelling to that playful and introspective take on mindfulness. His broader Marvel résumé includes The Sentry (Sentry: Legacy), contributions to Spider-Boy, Infinity Paws, Iron Fist 50th Anniversary Special, and anniversary homages like Howard the Duck 50th.

Outside of Marvel, Jason is co-creator (with Chip Zdarsky) of The All-Nighter, a genre-bending comics series from Dark Horse that follows vampires doubling as heroes at an all-night diner, and he won his Eisner Award alongside Zdarsky for Afterlift.

June Brigman is a celebrated comic book artist and illustrator, known for co-creating Marvel's "Power Pack" and illustrating the syndicated newspaper strip "Brenda Starr, Reporter." Her dynamic storytelling and expressive artwork have graced the pages of major publishers like Marvel and DC, featuring characters such as Supergirl, Spider-Man and of course she is well-known as the penciller for some of the most iconic Uncanny X-Men stories of all time.

Her contributions to the comic book industry have earned her numerous awards and a dedicated fan base, making her a beloved figure in visual storytelling. She and her husband Roy Richardson serve as the artists for the comic strip Mary Worth and just last year she collaborated with Louise Simonson again for "Power Pack: Into the Storm."

They wrote The House (with artist Drew Zucker), and wrote and drew Triage, Paradox, and Kepler (with David Duchovny). Christie Porter is a writer, journalist, editor, and producer based in Salt Lake City, where they live with their found-family. They also write short comics, appearing in “When I Was Young…” An LGBTQIA+ Charity Comic Anthology, “Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology,” A Wave Blue World’s “Color of Always,” and Dark Horse’s “Headless Horseman” Halloween anthology. Tim Seeley is one of those “slash” people…a writer-slash-artist. He has drawn a number of different comicbook series including G.I JOE, HALLOWEEN, WILDCATS and EXSANGUINE. His writing work includes New York Times bestselling HACK/SLASH, NIGHTWING, BATMAN ETERNAL, MONEY SHOT and the critically acclaimed REVIVAL. Fans of this show likely know him best for his work writing ROGUE: SAVAGE LAND and the ongoing infinity comic ASTONISHING X-MEN.

He has also done consultation work for Cacao Barry, artist Hebru Brantley and Dreamworks Animation, and is an adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago. Dr. Scott DeGeest has been lost in the world of X-Men and comics at large since age eight when he was left unsupervised for too long at the 1992 San Diego Comic Con. Early issues of Excalibur first sparked his love for the franchise. Today, he works as a principal data scientist at a tech company, where he uses his knowledge and curiosity about technology to explore science fiction about artificial intelligence, data science, and robots.

In the world of X-Men podcasts, Scott is a regular contributor on Graymalkin Lane. He currently voices Steven Lang on that show's X-Men read-along. A regular guest on podcasts inside and outside of comics, Scott enjoys talking about the gaps between science fiction and science fact, especially related to portrayals of AI in comics.

If you ask him, Scott will usually tell you his favorite X-Men character is Cyclops. However, if you press him, he will quickly go into lengthy detail about his interest in Rachel Summers. What’s not to love about a psychic, time-traveling daughter from a dystopian future ruled by genocidal robots?

Maggie Blue O’Hara is a professional actress, singer, dancer/choreographer and writer/director. Originally from Victoria BC, Maggie moved to Vancouver, when she was 9 to pursue professional acting and has worked successfully ever since, with lead roles in  Northwood, X-Files, L Word and she is also well known for her cartoon voices as Bulma on DragonballZ and Kitty Pryde in X-Men Evolution.

In 2005 she moved in Hong Kong to live with a Chinese theatre director. Together they got married and created a multimedia theatre company and her daughter Bella Star came along in 2010. In 2015, Maggie separated from her husband and moved back to Vancouver to live closer to nature with her beautiful daughter where she continues to teach acting and serve as a vocal coach. She is currently writing a book about her life’s journey discovering self love and the healing powers of sensuality as well as working on her own original music. Follow Maggie on Instagram here.

Tom Breevort is a highly respected comic book editor and executive who has been a driving force at Marvel since starting as a college intern in 1989. He steadily climbed the ranks—from assistant editor to Executive Editor in 2007—overseeing major series like New Avengers, Civil War, Fantastic Four, and Avengers vs. X‑Men. Promoted in January 2011 to Senior Vice President of Publishing, Tom became Marvel’s longest‑serving editor and, in 2024, took on the role of Group Editor for the X‑Men line amid the From the Ashes relaunch, all while retaining his VP and Executive Editor titles. With decades of experience shaping superhero narratives and nurturing creative talent, Brevoort remains one of the most influential editorial voices in modern comics. A career-defining role in Final Analysis—opposite Richard Gere, Kim Basinger, and Uma Thurman—took him to Hollywood, where he carved out a successful career in film and television, collaborating with some of the industry's best. He may be best known to listeners of this podcast for his portrayal of Angelo "Skin" Espinosa in the 1996 television film "Generation X.”

Scott Koblish is an American Comic-book Artist who has worked on hundreds of comics for Marvel, Disney, Image, Dark Horse, Valiant, Boom and DC Comics. At Marvel, Scott worked on nearly every title they publish and just listing those titles would provide such a ridiculously long set of words that gazing upon it would make your eyes glaze over and your head hurt if he subjected you to it, but he had a 6-year run on Deadpool, where he co-created Deadpool 2099, so at least something he drew will likely outlive his heirs.

At DC, he pencilled and inked Batman: Gotham Nights, DC: Primal Age, Titans: Giant, Aquaman: the Becoming, and Flash Annual 2024 and How To Draw DC, and worked with George Pérez as an inker on Wonder Woman, Worlds’ Finest, The Brave And The Bold and Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds and inked Keith Giffen’s OMAC run. He is also the author of the book The Many Deaths of Scott Koblish.

Mark Bassett earned his cello performance degree at the New England Conservatory of Music. He also has a degree in music education from the College of St. Rose. As a musician, Mark has played with many orchestras and chamber groups including the Philadelphia String Quartet, Calder Quartet, South Florida Symphony and Fresno Philharmonic. He has toured with artists such as Josh Groban, Lindsay Sterling, and bands Evanescence, Celtic Thunder, and Hanson. Mark's passion for video game music has led him to be principle cellist for Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess tour, and with the Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds tour. As a studio musician, He has recorded for recent films such as Frozen 2, Charlie’s Angels, and Bad Boys 3. Right in time for the movies, Deadpool co-creator + writing legend Fabian Nicieza joins our host Lodro Rinzler for Count Nefaria stealing Washington D.C. He would have gotten away with it too if not for those pesky telepaths. Born in Argentina, Fabian grew up on (and learned English from) X-Men comics so we dive into issue 23, syncing with his arrival in the good old U.S. of A.

Count Nefaria has kidnapped the X-Men and is holding Washington D.C. hostage for seventy trazilliom dollars. Also in this episode:

• what it's like to sell literal millions of comics each month (it was the 90s)

• Professor X forgets that the telephone exists

Fabian Nicieza has worked for Marvel since 1985 when he started out in the department for Fisher-Price licensed activity books. He moved on to become Marvel’s Advertising Manager and then during that time, Fabian also began writing for Marvel on a freelance basis. His first published book was PSI-FORCE #9 in 1987. He then went on to write THE NEW WARRIORS which was simply wonderful.

Clearly a glutton for punishment, Fabian also began writing several of Marvel’s top-selling X-titles, including X-FORCE, CABLE, DEADPOOL and the company’s #1 selling book, X-MEN. These books not only sold millions of copies to gazillions of readers, Fabian also got to star in a series of X-Men Pizza Hut videos.

And outside of comics, Fabian has worked with STARLIGHT RUNNER ENTERTAINMENT for 20 years on story world development and franchise management consultation for some of the biggest entertainment companies on some of the biggest properties.

He has written two novels including SUBURBAN DICKS which was nominated by the Mystery Writers of America for an Edgar Award.

His NEW comic Free Agents is out NOW! You should go pick it up it's a lot of fun.
