Madeira Portugal is full of authentic local food. Madeira food is traditional, simple, high quality and delicious and you won't have to go far to find espetda in Madeira. Funchal is not the best place for espetada in Madeira, most of the places are pretty touristy, but this restaurant is an exception. tucked away 10 mins by bus outside of the center of Funchal, this Funchal restaurant is a must eat on your trip. Eat like locals in Madeira, where you get to cook your own kebab over the wood fire. Espetada is essentially a Madeira beef kebab or beef skewer. But you can have it with any more or sausages. It is traditional Madeira food and found all over the island, from restaurants, to people's homes. Portugal food doesn't get better than this. I filmed at this place 2 years ago on my Joe Parrilla Madeira channel, so it is definitely time to refresh and visit this place again. Unsurprisingly, this triggered me, so I decided to film a video called the 4 worst rated dishes in Madeira Portugal to see if they are right or perhaps it was just clickbait and these are actually the 4 best foods in Madeira Portugal. The 4 Madeira foods are: 1) Broas de Mel - the Madeira honey biscuits 2) Espada com banana - The very famous tourist dish of black scabbard fish and banana 3) Milho Frito - Fried cornmeal cubes which you can find everywhere in Madeira, it is a very popular Madeiran food. 4) Bolo de mel - Madeira honey cake made with the local sugar cane. MADEIRA PORTUGAL is famous for hiking. Many people travel to Madeira for hiking because the hiking in Madeira is so good. The best thing about hiking in Madeira is that there is something for everyone. From very challenging hikes to very easy hikes. But both can be equally beautiful and rewarding. Today I want to show you the easiest hike in Madeira, or rather, the easiest Levada in Madeira. Levadas are irrigation channels built over the island to bring water to the drier areas. They now provide some of the best hiking in Europe, with 100s of options all over the island. It is not easy to choose the best levadas in Madeira but this one usually makes the list because it is so easy and because it has a beautiful view at the end. It is perfect for kids, families or if you want something short and easy levada walk. This levada is called PR11 Levada dos Balcões (levada dos balcoes). This is the best levada for beginners in Madeira. After walking the levada, I take you to eat at a local restaurant in Madeira which serves traditional Madeiran food. Just a note, the video quality is not the best it could be because it was such low light when I got there. I went early to avoid the crowds and only had my phone which me to make it easy to film, but it is a lesson learned for next time. I hope you enjoy the video anyway. Many people travel to Madeira for hiking because the hiking in Madeira is so good. The best thing about hiking in Madeira is that there is something for everyone. From very challenging hikes to very easy hikes. But both can be equally beautiful and rewarding. Today I want to show you the easiest hike in Madeira, or rather, the easiest Levada in Madeira. Levadas are irrigation channels built over the island to bring water to the drier areas. They now provide some of the best hiking in Europe, with 100s of options all over the island. It is not easy to choose the best levadas in Madeira but this one usually makes the list because it is so easy and because it has a beautiful view at the end. It is perfect for kids, families or if you want something short and easy levada walk. This levada is called PR11 Levada dos Balcões (levada dos balcoes). This is the best levada for beginners in Madeira. After walking the levada, I take you to eat at a local restaurant in Madeira which serves traditional Madeiran food. Just a note, the video quality is not the best it could be because it was such low light when I got there. I went early to avoid the crowds and only had my phone which me to make it easy to film, but it is a lesson learned for next time. I hope you enjoy the video anyway. In fact, Mestia is one of the most remote villages in Europe. I try skiing for the first time in Svaneti Georgia. You might not think of Svaneti as a ski destination. But due to the remoteness, the quality of the snow is great. Skiing In Mestia or Skiing in Svaneti is great. The Svaneti region in Georgia is located deep in the Caucasus mountains. You have spectacular scenery, great powder snow, and of course amazing Georgian food.
