Literally everyone has heard that nice guys finish last, but we’ve never heard someone say the same about girls. Guys like a strong woman who’s not afraid to ask for what she wants, not a timid girl who won’t stand up for herself. We don’t want a guy who’s a doormat, so why do we expect that men would feel any differently about us?

<itunes:summary>People always say, “Date at your level,” or “He or she isn’t on my level” or something to that extent, but what does that really mean? Everyone should have standards and we wholeheartedly agree with the practice, but we think many people drop the ball in 1) Defining their level and 2) the implementation.
But lately, we’ve been hearing too many people place ridiculous standards of what someone has materialistically (and equating this surface level achievement to being on their level) as opposed to what a person can do for them mentally, physically, emotionally and most importantly, spiritually in a relationship.

Moral: Just because he or she may pick you up in a Benz doesn’t mean they’re committed to your growth …or are even interested or able to be (shrugs).

Suppressed emotions don’t just go away; instead, they become toxic. They will keep showing up in your life, in some form of dysfunction or unhappiness, until you resolve them. Throughout life, feeling your feelings is one of the healthiest and most productive things you can do.
You must feel your feelings; your emotions are helpful companions on the journey of life. You need to make friends with them, learn from them, and interact with them in a loving, not fearful, way.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>On this Episode we discuss why do some people have the need to define or label their relationships. And why some people hate labels all together. What makes someone your boyfriend or girlfriend.
Nowadays, it feels as though the terms “boyfriend” and “girlfriend” are thrown about, much like confetti at a kid’s birthday party. Or, we have the starkly contrasting approach of those who have decided it’s better to “play it cool.” The ones who have adapted the mindset, as touted by prevalent popular culture, that developing or worse, showcasing feelings for someone is “weak” or “uncool.”
We either cannot commit, or almost instantaneously slap arbitrary labels on our connection with another person, to my mind, without much depth of thought as to what makes it so.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Many aspects of parenting remain the same after a separation. Keeping communication between parents positive, however, will often require greater attention and care. The emotional turmoil of divorce can make children especially vulnerable. If conflict is a major aspect of co-parenting communication, children’s lives can be further destabilized. Although separation will change how families work, co-parents can still be a source of stability and comfort for their children as long as they commit to positivity in their shared parenting.
Parents want what’s best for their kids, but the best isn’t always possible when a divorce or breakup is necessary. And often, a divorce or breakup is the most responsible decision parents can make to reduce the emotional trauma of remaining in a high-conflict home. It’s possible for parents to put their differences aside to create a co-parenting plan that’s beneficial to their child’s long-term development. Take advantage of community resources, such as a mediator or counselor, to set yourself up for co-parenting success. And remember to create ground rules about mutual respect – neither of you should bad-mouth the other in front of the kids – to create a framework for healthy co-parenting. The pain of a divorce or separation doesn’t have to reverberate in your child’s life if you and your ex can come together to provide a safe, stable, and consistent environment.</itunes:summary>
<itunes:subtitle>Many aspects of parenting remain the same after a separation.
The pain of a divorce or separation doesn’t have to reverberate in your child’s life if you and your ex can come together to provide a safe, stable, and consistent environment.</itunes:subtitle>

Healthy relationships are built only with people who are already complete going in.
People want their romantic relationships to be stable; they want their profound love to remain constant at its initial profound level. However, people would also like their romantic love to be wild and unstable in the sense of unpredictable. They do not want to take each other for granted, like something inanimate that remains the same all the time; they want love to be wild and exciting. <itunes:summary>Inspired by the Bonnie and Clyde mythologies, the term “ride or die” was popularized in hip-hop music during the 90s and early 2000s. Ride or die is a term used to describe a person (usually a woman) that is willing to do anything for their partner, friend, or family, even in the face of danger. A ride or die is often praised for their fierce loyalty and commitment to their partner but ride or die relationships are all too often code for unhealthy relationships.

However, when couples constantly put their disagreements “on pause,” they run the risk of never having the chance to resolve the underlying dispute. Avoiding or delaying a difficult conversation can hurt your relationships and create other negative outcomes. It may not feel natural at first, especially if you dread discord, but you can learn to dive into these tough talks by re-framing your thoughts. </itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In any romantic relationship, there are times when you have to have a difficult conversation. Perhaps you are worried about a particular aspect of someone’s behavior, or want to suggest a major change to your lives together. It can take courage to initiate these conversations. However, you are handing all the power to your partner if you always wait for them to initiate discussions and, if you are afraid to assert yourself, you will not get what you want. This can lead to resentments building up over time, which can damage your relationship, so it is better to discuss things together before it gets to this stage.
