S2 - Episode 19 – NCAA Football National Title Race Semi-Finals

We are back with our second to last episode... no really! second to last. This is a short one. I was 2-1 in the first round of playoffs and we were 3-1 this last week, I hit Notredame as the Money Line and the spread, we only count it as one win in the record book though. In total, I am 5-2 for the national college playoffs. And we are going to add another two winners in this episode. So After all the top seeds went out last week we saw Ohio State dominate and Texas almost lose to Arizona State. We discuss the games and how they will impact this matchup where we might have an obvious answer to the bet. We also discuss the fight the fighting Irish put up plus the interesting sloppy game seeing Penn State beat Boise State. This will be another interesting matchup and a close one. We are recording on Friday 3 January because the bets have gone wild and we have only 6 days before the next match. The College Football National Title Race is in the second stage. We lost the weak and we have nothing but challenging picks. Oregon against Ohio State is so even it will be a repeat of the first game with a who knows who the grass will favor. Penn State had a poor passing performance which will be a huge question mark going up against the Boise State Broncos. Texas and Arizona State are interesting games as well. Finally, we have Notre dame vs Georgia. We discuss all the college football action and we even discuss the Montana State Bobcats vs North Dakota State.

We talk about Alabama’s big game coming up, and Colorado State's big game to make the Mountain West championship. We talk about Boise State who is leading the mountain west right now and has almost secured a spot if not secured a spot. We talk about Indiana V. Ohio State and that big game with the undefeated Indiana going against Ohio State who is still mathematically possibly going to be in the Big 12 championship. Anyway, make sure you check out this episode we only have three weeks including this week before we get to the conference championships there are a bunch of teams that are eliminated from having a chance at the playoffs.

This week we learned that college football has no separation of a top tier of teams. New Mexico State Transfer coach and QB lead Vandy to beat Alabama, the de facto leader in the SEC. Ohio State looked good. The SEC is eating each other up. The Big 12 is eating each other up. The Big 10 has some leaders in the college realm but play later in the season. In this episode, we discuss more than the overarching picture. My underbets were garbage, and Nikko discusses what he has been poor at and contrasts it to the last 5 years of college betting. We go over all the bets and discuss where Nikko made analysis mistakes.

And we do not pick the money line unless it pays better than the spread. We are spread pickers. We put our own money on all the bets. SMU was popped in the mouth in the first quarter and had their confidence rattled until P. Stone and crew got their legs back under them.
