We were once again at the Brudenell Social Club for Live at Leeds, hosting both the DIY and Neu stages there. We talk to stage headliners Pale Waves about their recent US tour, Anteros about finalising album details, and Whenyoung on preparing to support some heroes.

Then, from Liverpool Sound City, we're with Peace as they prepare to headline the whole shebang (featuring van playlist info), Matt Maltese recovers from a noisy air conditioning unit, and King Nun get visual. On audio.

In our new audio series 'Anything but...' El Hunt, the boss of bizarre lines of enquiry and DIY magazine's features editor, really gets to know some of her favourite acts, by not uttering a word about the music (well until she gets distracted and forgets, feel free to tweet us if you feel aggrieved about that) and records it for your pleasure.

In this episode El is joined by Stephen and Audun of two piece Liverpool jangly-indie pop sensations Her's (or 'international supersonic spectral wave band', as they define themselves). The plan is not to talk about music and they do get close, but manage to divert to chats about dream farms, Travelodge groundhog days, Norway day spent in a van and some home improvement success stories.

Welcome to the first Get In The Van podcast a brand new series from DIY Magazine's podcast network, HI!

PARTYBABY from California, U S of A shot to attention in 2016 with their debut record 'The Golden Age of Bullshit' but this wasn't exactly their first rodeo. Having toured in other acts (Portugal. The Man) or as an engineer (30 Seconds to Mars), this have been touring hard in their current incarnation for the last year. This episode jumps back to late 2016 when they came over to the UK for a fairly gruelling run of shows first of all supporting the awesome VANT and then some headline shows of their own.
