The Dallas Stars reclaimed home ice advantage on Wednesday night - well, technically early Thursday morning - as they beat the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in double overtime in Game 3 at Grand Casino Arena to take a 2-1 series lead. That four-hour marathon game started with the opening puck drop at 8:51 p.m. CT and ended at 12:53 a.m. when Wyatt Johnston tipped home the game-winning goal. Wyatt Johnston was the hero of Game 3, as he scored the game-winning goal at 12:10 of double overtime, giving the Dallas Stars a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Wild. The Dallas Stars recorded their 50th win of the 2025-26 regular season as they beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 in a shootout on Wednesday night at KeyBank Center. Mavrik Bourque recorded his first career NHL hat trick and his first career four-point game (3 goals, 1 assist), as the Dallas Stars rallied from 3-0 and 5-3 deficits to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-5 on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena. John Tavares, Jacob Quillan and William Nylander all found the net in the opening period as the Maple Leafs raced out to a 3-0 lead. Bourque scored two goals in less than five minutes to begin the second period and then Jason Robertson tied it at 3-3 with his 45th goal of the season. Max Domi and Nicholas Robertson scored early in the third period to give Toronto a 5-3 advantage, only for Wyatt Johnston to score a power play goal (his 45th goal of the season), Arttu Hyry was credited with the tying goal when Leafs defenseman Troy Stecher scored an own goal and then Bourque completed his hat trick with the game-winner with just over five minutes left. Jason Robertson scored twice and Jake Oettinger stopped all 22 shots he faced as the Dallas Stars blanked the New York Rangers 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at American Airlines Center. Robertson scored both his 43rd and 44th goals of the season in the third period, both on rebounds from Matt Duchene shots. The game-winner came on the power play at 12:49 and the second was an empty-net goal after Duchene hit the right post. Oettinger records his 4th shutout of the season, his second most shutouts in a single season (5, 2022-23), and the 16th of his NHL career. While the Stars officially clinched home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs in the middle of the third period, when Minnesota lost to Nashville, the victory in the regular season home finale allowed Dallas to punctuate a fantastic regular season, with two road games left on the calendar. The Dallas Stars rallied from a 3-1 deficit to claim a dramatic 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night at American Airlines Center. With the win, the Stars reduced their magic number to clinch home ice advantage for the first round playoff series against the Wild to two points. In a high-tension, fight-filled affair, Wyatt Johnston scored his 44th goal of the year to give Dallas an early 1-0 lead. Minnesota answered with three-straight goals; a Quinn Hughes even strength tally and two power play goals by Kirill Kaprizov. Colin Blackwell cut the deficit to 3-2 and then Cameron Hughes scored his first career NHL goal to tie it at 3-3. However, Ryan Hartman scored Minnesota’s third power play goal of the night with 11 seconds left in the second period. Mikko Rantanen tied the game at 4-4 and then Jason Robertson got the game-winner, his 42nd goal of the year. The Colorado Avalanche officially clinched both the Central Division regular season title and the top seed in the Western Conference on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center. That confirms what we all suspected for months, the Dallas Stars and the Minnesota Wild will face each other in the first round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The only question that remains is who will finish in second place in the Central and thus control home ice advantage? The Stars maintain a two point lead over the Wild with four games remaining and a massive showdown between the two clubs on Thursday night in Dallas. At 2:15 p.m., we will be joined by Jess Myers, Minnesota Wild beat writer for the St. Paul Pioneer Press to get the opposition perspective of this fierce Central Division rivalry. Wyatt Johnston scored his second goal of the night, and his NHL-leading 26th power play goal of the season, as he lifted the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 overtime win over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night at American Airlines Center. Justin Hryckowian opened the scoring in the second period, but the Flames answered with three-straight goals. Joel Farabee and Yegor Sharangovich tallied goals in the middle frame and Zayne Parekh notched a power play goal early in the third period for a 3-1 Calgary lead. Johnston scored his 42nd goal of the season in quick reply, followed by Jason Robertson scoring his 41st goal of the year to tie the game at 3-3. Robertson took a cross check to the face from Ryan Strome, yielding a four-minute double minor power play. After multiple scoring chances, it was Johnston scoring his second goal of the night, and 43rd of the year, to get the game-winner on the power play in overtime. The Dallas Stars Alumni Weekend is quite the ordeal. It started with a private Alumni-Only golf outing on Thursday at PGA Frisco’s West Course, to the Dallas Stars Big Heart Celebrity Golf Challenge on Friday at PGA Frisco’s Championship East Course, host of the 2027 PGA Championship, to the Alumni Game on Saturday, we can’t help but wonder how long it will take some of our favorite Stars heroes of the past to recover from all that fun. Now THAT was more like the Dallas Stars hockey we’ve grown accustomed to this season! Returning to American Airlines Centers after a four-game East Coast road trip and a stretch with just one win in their last seven (1-4-2), the Stars brought back the emotion and intensity into their game against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night that head coach Glen Gulutzan had challenged his group to rediscover after a lackluster two weeks of play. The Dallas Stars limped home, literally, from a four-game Eastern Conference road trip where they went 1-2-1 and lost four players due to injury (Sam Steel, Nathan Bastian, Michael Bunting & Tyler Myers). While the Stars had a legitimate chance to win each of the four games, they were up against teams that were playing with a much higher level of urgency due to their respective playoff race standings and Dallas seemed to have trouble matching that intensity. The Dallas Stars allowed four third period goals as they lost to the Boston Bruins 6-3 on Tuesday night at TD Garden. The Dallas Stars secured their fourth-straight 100-point season, but came up short in overtime in a 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Wyatt Johnston scored his NHL-leading 23rd power play goal of the season, breaking Dino Ciccarelli’s Stars/North Stars single-season franchise record, but the Vegas Golden Knights spoiled the party by defeating the Dallas Stars 3-2 on Sunday night at American Airlines Center. Jake Oettinger delivered one of his most clutch performances of the season and then said what everyone was thinking. Jake Oettinger turned in a sparkling performance on Wednesday night at Ball Arena, stopping 33-of-34 shots faced and then going 3-for-3 in the shootout as the Dallas Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1. Oettinger extended his personal point streak to 13 games (12-0-1); his last regulation loss came on January 18th vs. Tampa Bay. The Dallas Stars coughed up a 2-0 lead in the third period, but mustered up a dramatic overtime winning goal from Thomas Harley to beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 and tie the franchise record point streak (15 games). The Stars utterly dominated the first 40 minutes and opened up a 2-0 lead on goals by Wyatt Johnston and Michael Bunting, which was his first goal as a Stars. The Dallas Stars are in a great position entering the final six weeks of the 2025-26 regular season. They have the second-best record in the National Hockey League, banking 88 points in 63 games (39-14-10), while currently riding a 12-game point streak (11-0-1) and boasting the league’s second-best power play. However, the Central Division is a gauntlet with the Colorado Avalanche leading the NHL with 95 points and the Minnesota Wild nipping at the Stars’ heels with 85 points (4th best in the league). It won’t get any easier as the Stars have the second-hardest strength of schedule in the NHL over their final 19 games of the season. Miro Heiskanen was the hero of the day, as he scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Dallas Stars beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Sunday at American Airlines Center. The Stars had rallied from a 2-0 deficit, then blew a 3-2 lead, but got the win to extend their current point streak to 12 games (11-0-1). Tyler Bertuzzi and Sam Rinzel put Chicago ahead 2-0 less than 9 minutes into the game. Nathan Bastian put Dallas on the board late in the first period with his sixth goal of the season, his third in the last five games. Mavrik Bourque and Justin Hryckowian each found the net in the third period to give the Stars a 3-2 lead, only for Connor Bedard to score a 6-on-5 extra attacker goal to force overtime. 3-on-3 hockey lasted a mere 22 seconds before Heiskanen redirected a Matt Duchene pass on the rush past goalie Arvid Söderblom to give the Stars their 11th win in their last 12 games. The Dallas Stars did not wait until Friday’s NHL trade deadline to bolster their roster. Today, GM Jim Nill acquired towering 6’8” veteran right handed defenseman Tyler Myers from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2027 2nd round pick and a 2029 4th round pick. In addition, Vancouver will retain 50% of Myers remaining contract, which means he will carry a $1.5M AAV. We will fully break down the trade, discussing how Myers fits on the Stars blueline and what, if any, will be Jim Nill’s next move before Friday’s deadline.

BREAKING: The Dallas Stars have acquired veteran defenseman Tyler Myers from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2027 2nd-round pick and a 2029 4th-round pick. The Dallas Stars extended their franchise-record winning streak to 10 consecutive games as they blasted the Calgary Flames 6-1 on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.
