Domestic abuse affects many and can often turn deadly. In Episode 25 we go to Wakefield in England where in 2012, Elisa Frank was a victim of such abuse. Ahmad Otak came to the UK from Afghanistan and with him brought his baggage which manifested itself in terrible violence in the for of domestic abuse. His victims were not only Elisa, but also and fatally her Sister and best friend.

On September 22, 2006, 16-year-old Cassie Jo Stoddart of Pocatello, Idaho, spent a Friday evening with her boyfriend and two classmates while housesitting for relatives. In the midst of some unusual power outages at the house, the boys depart for the night, leaving Cassie to her house sitting duties frightened and alone. No one would hear from her for two days, until her relatives come back from their trip to find Cassie’s body lying in a pool of blood in their living room.

Nearly five decades after her abduction, and despite the continued efforts of family, friends, and investigators, Carla’s killer still hasn’t been found.

The murder of James Bulger part 2

With the UK still reeling over the death of 2 year old James Bulger, the attention and anger turned to his two killers Robert Thompson and Jon Venables and how a British court would trial 10 year old boys for murder.
Then there was their punishment , depending on how you look at it. It didn't end there with this case as events concerning James Bulger and his killers run all the way up to as recently as March 2019, some 26 years after his murder.
