The Parable of the Talents Isn’t About Your Talents

Most Christians have heard the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 explained as a lesson about using our gifts and abilities.
But the word talent in Jesus’ time didn’t mean skills or natural ability. It meant a massive amount of money — a treasure entrusted to servants while the master was away.
So what if the parable isn’t about our talents at all?
In this episode of I Might Be Wrong, we take a deeper look at Matthew 25:14–30 and explore the possibility that the treasure Jesus is talking about is actually the Kingdom of God itself.
And if that’s true, then the warning in the parable may not be about wasting the treasure…
It may be about burying it.
What happens when the Gospel is treated as something to protect rather than something meant to be shared?

The Outsider Who Understood Jesus Better Than His Followers

This episode explores the story of the Samaritan woman at the well in Gospel of John chapter 4, and how it connects directly to the message of John 3:16–17.
We often quote John 3:16 as a statement about salvation, but in John’s Gospel the meaning becomes visible in real time through Jesus’ encounter with a Samaritan woman — someone who stood outside the boundaries of religion, culture, and respectability.
And yet something surprising happens.
While the disciples struggle to understand what Jesus is doing, the Samaritan woman becomes the one who carries the message to her entire town.
In many ways, she does what the disciples should have done.
This conversation at the well reveals something radical about the kingdom of God: the love described in John 3:16 was never meant to stay inside religious boundaries. It was always moving outward.

Did We Reverse Jesus’ Greatest Commandment?

In Luke 10, a lawyer asks Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”
But what if we’ve been asking the wrong question?
In this episode, we explore the Good Samaritan, the Greatest Commandment, and a cultural shift that has quietly detached love of neighbor from love of God.
When empathy becomes the highest authority, do we redefine obedience in the name of compassion?
• Can love exist apart from God?
• Who gets to define what love actually is?
• Did we reverse Jesus’ greatest commandment?
We look at Scripture, culture, and Christ as the true Neighbor — and why love without God eventually bends inward.
If love has no anchor, it becomes opinion.
With God, it becomes life.

Grace vs performance

In this episode, we walk through Ephesians 2:8–9 and explore why so many Christians struggle with a performance-based faith, even though the Bible says salvation is a gift, not something we earn.
We talk about:
What it really means to be saved by grace through faith
Why Christians feel pressure to perform for God
The difference between self-improvement and resurrection
Why many believers are still fighting a battle Jesus already won
How to live from victory instead of striving for approval
If you’ve ever felt like Christianity has become heavy, overwhelming, or exhausting, this episode reframes salvation as rescue, not effort — and invites you to rest in Christ’s finished work.
This conversation is for anyone wrestling with guilt, shame, burnout, or the feeling that they’re “never quite doing enough,” despite believing in grace.https://buymeacoffee.com/imightbewrongpodcast

Your Story Isn't Over

Your story isn’t over yet. In this message, we dive into how God can use every season — the pit, the prison, and the palace — to shape your purpose. If you’re feeling stuck, discouraged, or defined by your past, this teaching will remind you that God is still writing your story.
Joseph’s journey shows what it means to walk by faith, grow through challenges, and hold onto God’s promise even when life doesn’t make sense. No matter what you’re facing, your circumstances are NOT your identity, your setbacks are NOT your destiny, and your current chapter is NOT the end of the story.
This episode will encourage you to break free from the victim mindset, embrace the anointing God has placed on your life, and trust that He is working behind the scenes. God specializes in plot twists, breakthroughs, and turning painful seasons into preparation for purpose.
If you’re looking for:
– Christian motivation
– Bible encouragement
– A message about Joseph
– Hope in hard seasons
– Healing from your past
– Inspiration to keep going
– A reminder that God is not done with you
…this video is for you.
Don’t give up. God is still writing your story.

How to Keep Going When You Want to Quit

Feeling tired or ready to quit? This episode shows you how to keep going by fixing your eyes on Christ and the prize of salvation.

How do you keep going when life feels heavy, discouraging, or overwhelming?
In this episode, we explore the biblical truth that gives Christians strength to endure: the prize of salvation.
Perseverance isn’t about gritting your teeth or becoming stronger on your own. It’s about fixing your eyes on Christ, remembering the destination, and holding onto the eternal hope that makes every step worth it.
In today’s message we cover:
✨ Why Christians endure — and why the prize is worth it
✨ How salvation reframes our struggles
✨ What Hebrews 12 teaches us about fixing our eyes on Jesus
✨ Old Testament examples of endurance (Noah, Joseph, Moses, David)
✨ Practical ways to keep going when you want to quit
✨ The difference between human willpower and God’s sustaining grace
If you’re tired, overwhelmed, or questioning your strength to continue… this episode will remind you that you don’t endure alone, and you’re not running toward nothing — you’re running toward eternal life.
