I Am Virago: The Podcast for Inspiring Women

Welcome to a short introduction to the I Am Virago podcast. 

You might be asking yourself, what is a Virago? A virago is a woman who has demonstrated courage, compassion, wisdom, and strength. In ancient Rome, it was a title of honor. But over time, the word became a derogatory term to demean aggressive and powerful women. 

My goal is to reclaim the word virago for all womxn. I will know success when children say they want to be Viragos when they grow up. You can read the full Virago Manifesto at IAmVirago.com.

This year-long podcast will feature womxn from all walks of life, from retired generals to shamans, caregivers to entrepreneurs. Each making their way through the world imperfectly and sharing lessons they've learned with powerful authenticity, humor, vulnerability, and pride. I hope you enjoy this passion project.
