Kentucky baseball looks to get on the right track against Miami. They let a couple slip away at Ole Miss and LSU. Kenny Brooks and the Kentucky women got the the Sweet Sixteen and ran into Texas. They have things headed in the right direction though.

Is it good to be petty? When Duke and Tennessee lose in the tournament it is. We show our gratitude for Michigan and UConn. We talk spring practice and a little MLB too. Go Cats!

Kentucky's consistently inconsistent, roller coaster of a season has come to an end. Iowa State took Kentucky's best shot and then punched the Cats in the mouth and stifled them en route to pulling away for a relatively easy win. Injuries happened but they can't be leaned on as a crutch. There are lots of questions to be answered and lots of pressures building heading into year 3 for Mark Pope.

The secret had been out for a minute but it became officially official today. Mitch Barnhart is retiring as Kentucky's AD in June. It was a polarizing ride for sure. There were bad hires and great hires. He will now transition on to another role at UK.

Now all eyes watch, wait and observe what direction the university will go in now as they search and listen for his replacement.

Kentucky baseball couldn't script a more up and down way to begin the season. Go on the road and sweep UNC Greeensboro, great. Lose stud Tyler Bell to indefinitely to a shoulder injury one game in, not great. That just plain sucks. Now they have to go about the business of the home opener v Morehead State and beyond without him.

Coach Lawson and the softball team have already had an up and down start to their season too. Vinny and Cole talked about this and finished up the episode with a little more UK basketball.

There are no moral victories. Ever. That said, Kentucky didn't get blown out at Florida. They could have, because they were on the verge. Turnovers in the first half were their undoing, as they led to lots of Florida points. Their bigs do what they do, but letting their guards go off too was just too much to overcome.

Georgia is limping into Lexington. The Cats need to be aggressive and take their will right off the bat.
