The National Championship is set! Ohio State and Notre Dame will face off in Atlanta on Monday night. Shehan Jeyarajah joins Jake and William to preview the National Championship, but first, the guys recap the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Notre Dame executed late, while Penn State went the entire game without completing a pass to a wide receiver. What did Notre Dame do to stay in the game long enough to eventually take advantage? The College Football Playoffs are down to just four teams: Ohio State, Texas, Notre Dame, and Penn State. Texas survived a scare from Arizona State, winning in double overtime. Quinn Ewers made the biggest throw of his career to keep the Longhorns' hopes alive. Ohio State throttled Oregon, jumping out to a 34-0 lead. Can anyone stop them? It's officially rivalry week in college football! Before Jake and William jump into the slate for this weekend, it's all about the College Football Playoffs. Who did the committee rank too high, who was ranked too low, and who was sitting just right in their eyes? Also, Mack Brown is out—who should replace him at North Carolina?

Ohio State handled business against Indiana. The Hoosiers gave the Buckeyes a test early in the game but ultimately could not find consistent offense. Clemson's chances are currently on life support and they need a big win on the road against Pitt to stay in the hunt for the ACC Championship. Missouri believes they are still in contention for the playoffs but both Jake and William believe South Carolina will end any hope on Saturday.

Week 7 was billed as the best weekend of college football prior to the start of the season. We had multiple games between ranked opponents and the weekend did not disappoint. Ohio State and Oregon played a nailbiter coming down to the final play. LSU and Ole Miss required overtime to declare a winner. Alabama and Tennessee survived scares from South Carolina and Florida respectively. Most importantly though, we may be getting an eighth year from Cam Rising!

Heading into week eight we have multiple marque matchups. Georgia will travel to Texas in what may be a make or break game for the Bulldogs. The first part of our Big Ten preview is ready to roll! Tyler from 1st & Goal joins us on our first of two previews. We are starting with the unofficial Big Ten West as the conference adds USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon to bring the conference to 18 teams. What should we expect from the new teams in the conference? Washington hired Jedd Fisch after Kalen DeBoer leaves for Alabama and UCLA hires DeShaun Foster to take over for Chip Kelly. Is Lincoln Riley on the hot seat if he struggles again this year and how good can Oregon be?

Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota make up the old guard but all four schools could make some noise this year. Nebraska is led by true freshman quarterback, Dylan Raiola, and an easy schedule could have them peaking at the playoffs. Iowa should have a strong defense once again with Phil Parker still coaching under Kirk Ferentz. Wisconsin and Minnesota are also going to be tough teams and both bring new quarterbacks to the conference.
