<itunes:summary>Hey guys we are back! First off thank you so much for all the support with the podcast! I really enjoy doing it so I’m so grateful to receive such positive feedback!

This week we have Dr. David Spiegel who is the Medical Director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at Stanford School of Medicine. David is a world re-noun psychiatrist with over 40 years of clinical and research experience so we are so lucky to have this time with him.

The main focus of this episode was to dive into hypnosis because David is a world leader in this domain and I feel like there is a big misconception around what exactly hypnosis is and what its about. So hopefully its more clear after listening to this episode. And I’m a big believer in specifically self-hypnosis…which is a tool that you can access at any time.. any place… to create profound changes in your state of being. You can specifically and consciously target habits you want to change, you can modulate pain in your body…there are so many ways to utilize this powerful tool that we discuss.

I hope that you guys enjoy this conversation as much as I did! </itunes:summary>

Louis Rosenberg- How "Swarm Intelligence" amplifies human potential

Ok guys today we sit down with Louis Rosenberg.

Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs….I would not be surprised for future generations to be referencing the brilliance of Louis Rosenberg in the same light.

He is an innovator and by that I mean he sees things before they happen. Not only does he think outside the box and see what could be…but he also makes that vision come into our physical reality. To be able to see it…and then do it. Talk about two simple concepts but very few ppl on the planet have done what Louis has done.

In this conversation we get into his journey starting as a kid from Long Island, NY…how he was diagnosed with dyslexia but instead of dwelling on the difficulties of that dx he really leaned into the creative doors that it allowed his mind to open. Which leads us into his journey West to study at Stanford where he gets his PhD… and then its an exploration of his path thus far… starting companies, creating technology, writing screen plays that have turned into films, and books….

We talk about his latest endeavor which I personally am very excited about called Unanimous AI. This part of the conversation begins around min 52 for anyone that likes to listen out of order.

Unanimous AI is fascinating because Louis invented the technology to allow humans to leverage the swarm intelligence that is present in Nature. The possibilities and potential positive contributions to humanity that will come out of this technology is really exciting.

People are smart. We want to connect. We want to belong and contribute to something greater than ourselves in a positive way. Louis leaned into these truths and listened to nature to build us a technology to access a collective super intelligence. Thank you sir!

Find Louis:

Unanimous AI

https://unanimous.ai/staff-item/louis-rosenberg-phd/

Twitter

https://twitter.com/LouisBRosenberg

Books:

UPGRADE: The graphic novel

https://amzn.to/340uj1c

Arrival Mind

https://amzn.to/375LUHm

Talked about in show:

Ted Talk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu-RyZt_Uas

Sportspicker AI

https://unanimous.ai/sports

Featured case Studies:

https://unanimous.ai/case-studies/

Oxford Sports forecasting

Stanford Radiologist

Miami Heat season ticket holder perks

Xprize

United Nations predict food insecurity

Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary- the science of sound medicine

Our guest today is Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary. She was born in India but left at the age of 4 to relocate with her family in the US. Her path led her to become a medical doctor specializing in Neurology and the director of Wellspring health in Scripps Memorial Hospital for ten years. Luckily for us, she became sick, which sounds bad I know, but as pills and traditional treatment was not working she looked to Ayurvedic medicine and meditation which quickly brought her back to health. From this point on she hasn’t looked back and is a pioneer bridging the worlds of ancient Indian traditions and medicine to modern science.

She is currently decoding and researching ancient Siddha texts and medicine which very few people on the planet have had access to. Specific frequencies and vibrations of sound delivered thru mantras and instruments have been essential to our health in for thousands of years in these traditions and we are just starting to have science match up and offer explanations for how this is possible.

She recently released her second book “Sound medicine” which is an amazing journey thru the current science of sound and how it maps to Ayurvedic and western medicine. I love that Kulreet is so grounded in science but also open to what science has yet to be able to uncover.

She is an absolute light in this world and doing important work that has far reaching potential. This was a really fun conversation so I hope you enjoy!

We talk about:

-the bridge between western medicine and eastern practices

-spiritual growth

-the science of quantum physics, biology, biofields, etc

-healing aspect of nature (ocean, forest)

-healing thru the lens of Ayurveda, sound, ancient siddha and Vedic texts

-mantra meditation

-chakras and the nervous system

-subtle energy fields in the body

-heart electromagnetic field

-devotion vs love

-how to access higher states of consciousness

-detox the physical and emotional body

-shift from receiving to creating

More info:

Dr Kulreet Chaudhary website

https://drkulreetchaudhary.com/

Twitter

https://twitter.com/drkchaudhary?lang=en

Book- Sound medicine

https://amzn.to/31BNkWV

Book- The Prime: Prepare and Repair Your Body for Spontaneous Weight Loss

https://amzn.to/3dP0fJS

Link to Dosha quiz

https://drkulreetchaudhary.com/dosha-quiz/

<itunes:summary>Im honored to have Dr. Rudy Tanzi on the show today.

Rudy has numerous titles and recognitions so I won’t mention them all here but to start…

Rudy earned his PhD in Neurobiology from Harvard medical school in 1990.
He has published over 500 research papers and has received the highest awards in his field.
In 2015 he was named to TIME magazines list of “100 Most Influential People in the World”.
https://time.com/3823236/rudolph-tanzi-2015-time-100/

He has co-authored with Dr. Deepak Chopra the international bestsellers
Super Brain
https://amzn.to/31IyONg

Super Genes
https://amzn.to/2G8c0hA

and The Healing Self.
https://amzn.to/32LYPL5

Rudy has several titles at Mass General Hospital including:
Vice Chair of Neurology
Director of the Genetics and Aging Research Unit
Co-Director of the McCance Center for Brain Health and
Co-Director of the MassGeneral Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease

And At Harvard Medical School
Rudy is a professor of Neurology and holds the Joseph P. and Rose F. Kennedy chair

Early in his career, Dr. Tanzi worked with Dr. James Gusella to discover the first 5 genetic markers in the entire human genome and used them to find the disease gene for (Huntington’s disease). He then went on to discover the first Alzheimer’s disease (AD) gene, and several others.

Rudy and his team were the first to use human stem cells to create a brain organic model of AD dubbed
“Alzheimer’s in a Dish”
This model has made drug screening for AD much faster and more effective. Using this system, Dr. Tanzi has developed several novel therapies for AD. And is involved in several companies using cutting edge technology to impact the main cause of AD other neurologic diseases…neuroinflammation.

In this episode Rudy is very gracious with his time and mind.. Its not everyday that you get to hear a brilliant mind that has done so much in the world of science but also has the depth… the self awareness….clarity of intention and practice to really optimize his time on the planet.

It will quickly become clear that Rudy is passionate about a specific intention…being of service
And this intention is a real anchor point in his life.

We cover a lot in this episode from science to soul. We talk about:
-the brain and other organs in the body
-genetics and epigenetics
-the gift of self awareness
-the soul
-the mind
-keys to success
-gift of music
-brain health (SHIELD)
-auto-innate and auto-adaptive immune response

And much more!! Alright enough talking, lets get to the show.

Ben is an exceptional trainer working with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment but even more important he is a very kind person that really goes out of his way to help his clients and friends. You know starting this podcast he was one of the first people to leave a nice review and share with his social platforms which was definitely not something I asked him to do. He just did it to support me and it feels good to have a friend like that. So thats the kind of guy Ben is!

In this episode you will get to know a bit about Ben’s background…where he is from and some real adversity that he has overcome in his life. </itunes:summary>

AJ Ramos- MLB closer mindset and attitude

Ok guys this episode was a fun one and the very first interview I did for this show over 2 years ago!! It took me a while to follow thru but I am with you every week now so thank you so much for tuning in.

The audio and interview is a little rough around the edges but I think there is a lot of valuable information to take away.

We sit down with AJ Ramos. AJ as you will get to know is a great guy with an enormous heart and on his own personal journey to expand his consciousness and performance. AJ is an all-star pitcher in the major leagues that was with the NY Mets during this interview and currently with the LA Dodgers organization. He is a closing pitcher so he enters the game in high pressure situations expected to show up and perform to get the win.

In this episode we talk about….

How to handle high pressure situations
How to Quiet the mind
How be present
What it means to Create space in the mind
Why it’s important to know who you are
And AJ really reminds us to enjoy every moment!

Pat Dossett- Former Navy SEAL and current co-founder of Madefor!

Ok guys today we have my good friend Pat Dossett on the show.

Pat is extremely humble and always shining the light on others so I’m excited to have this rare opportunity to share a bit of his journey with you.

Pat is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he spent 9.5 years with the Navy Seals, has his MBA from Wharton Business School and is now the co-founder along with Blake Mycoskie of a life changing company called Madefor.

In this episode it will become very clear that Pat is driven to serve something bigger than himself…that he knows first-hand as a Navy Seal how a small team can have a profound impact in the world and that he created a company in Madefor specifically to help others achieve their full potential.

A few things covered in this episode are:
-Importance of a clear vision
-Path to becoming a Navy Seal
-Life transitions
-The importance of family and being a good teammate
-Fast Company article on overcoming stress
-Specific breathing technique to promote calm in the body
-His new company Madefor
-What a game day is like as a Navy Seal
-His relationship with Fear and Failure
-And countless advice throughout on optimizing performance

I really enjoyed this conversation and hope you do too. Alright enough talking, lets get to the show!

<itunes:summary>I’m excited to have my good friend Mike Shand on the show today!

Mike is one of the most elite private chef's in the world and has an intense passion towards food and health.

He has endless curiosity and desire to always grow and improve his craft which is a real inspiration!

Mike shares so much valuable information in this episode. I really enjoyed our conversation and I hope u do as well!

At around min 43 you may notice a change in audio and thats because I did a follow up call with Mike. During this pandemic we have cooked all our meals at home since mid March so my wife Sarah was dying to ask Mike’s advice on cooking. She takes over the interview for 15 min asking Mike some specific cooking questions. So if u like to cook I think u will really appreciate this addition.

<itunes:subtitle>I’m excited to have my good friend Mike Shand on the show today!

Isabella Boylston- One of the best ballet dancers in the world!

Ok guys I’m super excited to have my good friend Isabella Boylston on the show today!

Bella is an absolute superstar athlete and artist performing all over the world as a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre in NYC. She has danced lead roles in numerous ballets including Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and the list goes on…

She was invited to guest star with the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet, the Mariinsky Ballet in St Petersburg, Russia…the Royal Danish Ballet and once again the list goes on…

Bella is the founding artistic director of ballet sun valley which is a festival where she provides free dance classes and brings world class ballet to her home town.

She produced and stared in the film Early Sunday Morning which premiered at the TriBeCa film festival. She plays Jennifer Lawrence’s dance double in the film Red Sparrow, in addition to appearing as herself as the principal dancer in the film's closing sequence. She has collaborated with a number of brands and been featured in countless publications.

So basically, she is kind of a big deal but you would never know it because she is so humble and kind.

<itunes:summary>Ok guys I'm excited to have my good friend Darin Olien on the show today.

Darin has spent much his life traveling the world in search of the healthiest foods on the planet. He has incredible depth as a human and is extremely knowledgeable in what it takes to live a healthy life inside and out.

This episode begins with Darin taking us through a breathing exercise that he does almost everyday to promote a healthy state of being.

He challenges the listener that is trying to make a healthy habit change to first consciously commit to this change and then to do the work. A healthy lifestyle does not happen over night. It takes consistent small steps in the right direction. The daily work is what allows you the opportunity to show up to life at your best.

Darin shares how he has followed natures lead in overcoming tremendous personal loss and pain.

And he shares a lot of practical advice on how he thinks about choices that all of us have to make...including some of his favorite go to meals!

I really enjoyed this conversation and I hope you do as well! Ok enough talking lets get to the show…</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Ok guys I’m very excited to have my good friend James Valentine on the show today!

James is literally one of the nicest humans u could ever meet and an insanely talented musician and song writer.

He is the lead guitarist for maroon 5 which is one of the most successful bands of all time. They have won multiple Grammys, AMA’s and a ton of other awards. The majority of the band has been together for 20 years and show no signs of slowing down so lots of new music coming our way. Including a new album the band is currently working on during this pandemic.

In this episode we cover:

-The never ending path to mastery.
How a deeper understanding of time and sound are fundamental to his journey towards mastery.

-How he constantly re-calibrates on stage to come in and out of a state of flow.

-How nerves and anxiety around a performance impact him and tools he uses to overcome these feelings and emotions.

-And something unique about James is he has done several 10 day silent retreats and is a very educated and practiced meditator.

He believes everyone could benefit from a long retreat like this but knows very few will actually do it. And the true benefits of any mindfulness practice are found in actually doing the work

So in light of this James gives us a special gift at the end of this episode by guiding us thru a 10 day silent retreat in 1 min.

U may be asking how is that possible? Well to find out u will just have to listen. </itunes:summary>
