But this perception or belief couldn't be any further from the truth! The reality is that God does get angry, but not for reasons you think. If you've ever suffered a broken bone or if you've ever lost the function of one of your body parts, then you know how much of an impact that disability can have on your entire body. Each body part is not only necessary, but vital, in allowing your body to fulfill and accomplish all that it's supposed to.

In the same way, that's how it is with the church. In 1 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul used the analogy of the body to help Christians understand that each person is a part of the body, and each part plays a significant role.

And in Meta Church, this is no different. Each member of our community is a vital part of what God wants to do and how He wants to work in our church body. We need each member and we need each person to be actively engaged in our community. We need you!

Before Jesus ascended to Heaven, there was one thing He told His followers they would need if they were going to live out His Kingdom principles. In fact, He even went as far as to instruct them *not* to leave until they had received this one thing… What was it that they needed? It was the Holy Spirit! According to Jesus, His followers needed the Holy Spirit if they were going to live out and fulfill His Kingdom purposes.

So the question then becomes: If what Jesus said is true, then why is it that so many Christians live their lives apart from the Holy Spirit? We know about Him, we’ve learned about Him, but many of us struggle to faithfully walk with Him and be completely led by Him. These conversations are our attempt to offer insight, provoke personal change, and share hope for how we can all move forward.

These conversations are not perfect. They’re raw, they’re unedited, and they’re unfiltered. But we believe having conversations like this is part of our responsibility to create a better and more hope-filled future complete with justice and equality for people of color.

Take your time to listen to each episode, process what you hear, and work for the greater good. And wherever it’s appropriate, please share these conversations so others can do the same.

In fact, the more we find ourselves looking back to the life we once had, the more likely we are to miss the life we *could* have. We’re meant to look forward and to forge ahead, as difficult as it might be. We can grieve what we’ve left behind, but we mustn’t go back to it!

God makes HUGE proclamations and promises about what His love could do in us, but why is that so many of don't feel loved? In his letter to the Christians at Ephesus, Paul was urging believers to not settle for anything less than the fullness of God's love, for if they (and we) could grab hold of God's love, we could experience infinitely more than we could ask or imagine.

The life of Nehemiah is one in which we see the enemy constantly attacking, thwarting plans, and sowing seeds of discouragement amongst the people of Judah. Satan wants nothing more than to keep you from fulfilling your purpose and mission.

But when the enemy attacks our efforts, we can respond like Nehemiah did and fight back the discouragement in order to proceed forward. God has given us victory over the opposition and over our discouragement, so don't stop now!
