Three games in and there's a lot to notice with this team. Even Connor Wong had an extra base hit! Maybe the 2026 Red Sox will be redeemable after all.

It was mostly waiting for Sam Kennedy to get a clue.

This team is better. It is. Don't tell me it's not. We would have loved this team with Bregman, Marte, Ryan, but this team is undeniably better than it was. Not the Yankees. Those guys are barely a dingy without a hole.

WBC is coming up, Roman Anthony has been cleared to play for team USA. Tim estimates that he would start for the team 54.5% of the time. Say what you will about Roman Anthony, I love him.

Spring training has begun. There are a few early standouts. Believe it or not, Tim likes Wilyer Abreu. He also likes Jake Bennett. I, too, like Wilyer Abreu and Jake Bennett.

For everyone that protested the Bad Bunny show, Alex Cora liked it.

Red Sox this week acquired the most rag tag group of infielders. Tsung-Che Cheng, Mickey Gasper, Brendan Rogers, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Caleb Durbin, and both of the other two guys that came over in the Caleb Durbin trade. Breslow really said "Oops, all infielders!"

On the other side of the world, Detroit, Skubal sets an arbitration record. Showing up with props to his hearing, his back to back Cy Young awards. Plopping them big, fat awards right on the table. What does that mean for the Red Sox? Nothing, they've already extended Garrett Crochet.

Shame there was zero Patriots news this week. The end.

The Red Sox are connected to a plethora of potential trade candidates - some we like (Nico Hoerner) more than others (Brendan Donovan). Like, significantly more.

There was also plenty of record setting and record cucking news in baseball this week - including Kyle Tucker to the Dodgers on the largest AAV contract ever given out, and Bo Bichette to the Mets on the Bregman sweetheart deal. The Mets are the weirdest group of infielders I think I've seen, maybe ever.

Paredes is the most likely option to end up in Boston, but he is just not worth a singular Brayan Bello or Jarren Duran. We think by next week, SOMETHING falls into place (like the long Tetris piece).

The Boston Red Sox sign an actual player to an actual deal. Yes, in the year of our lord 2026, Craig Breslow gives $130mm to Ranger Suarez. Of the three available Suarezes on the market, this one is by far our favorite.

To think Suarez and Gray are splitting the duties as your #2 and #3 pitchers respectively is all Red Sox fans have dreamed about since 2018. Finally, the Red Sox sign a player for just money. No prospects, no contract splits, just money.

There's still some redeeming to do so keep it together, Breslow.

We cover a LOT of ground. Firstly, player signings like Paul DeJong to the Yankees (hilarious) and Kazuma Okamoto to the Blue Jays (and what that means of the likelihood of a Bregman reunion??).

We also cover how the current events in Venezuela might affect the baseball climate. The WBC might be a little tense. The Red Sox also have multiple players from Venezuela signed to the team. The events in Venezuela affect MLB and all baseball players.

And THEN our favorite things about Fenway. Like I said - we cover a lot of ground!

We wrap things up with the most polarizing conversation of the Red Sox offseason - which outfielder to trade. Jack is of the camp that you trade Duran and keep Abreu, Ian thinks the opposite. We voice our opinions.

Red Sox, Yankees, and the most underrated American League players in the MLB. This writer's question, do you like Connor Wong? What about Adam (@dunkintern)?

It was also a busy week of contract tendering and non-tendering. It's sad to see Bernie's face, though to be fair the Red Sox did send him to hell in exchange for soda in the vending machine. I hope Paul DePodesta is happy with his new Colorado Rockies.

In this segment of "Under the Microscope", the middle infield - Jorge Polanco and Ha-Seong Kim. (Ha-Spongebob Kim. IYKYK.) Are these guys worth considering in Boston? We say yes, but with some caution. One thing we all know the Red Sox need is infield defense. That's why we need to take a good, hard look at what Bo Bichette actually does for us.

Lucas Giolito and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on declining their mutual option. The Boston Red Sox did not extend Giolito a qualifying offer. It's a shame, he would have been such a wonderful 60-day IL.

Trevor Story, on the other hand, opts in to the remaining two years of his deal. We're happy about it. The off-season started by needing all four infield positions filled, now you only need three. We will welcome Trevor Story with open arms! At second base!

It's the playoffs. The air is different, the strategy is different, but our hope for the results against the Yankees is the same.

Game one of the wild card series takes place in New York at the new, improperly built, Yankee Stadium. Did you know at the time of building the new stadium, the rules were that all outfield walls had to be a minimum of 325 feet? And the Yankees just ignored that?

As it stands, we are expecting Crochet vs Fried game 1 and Bello vs Rodon game 2. We haven't looked at game 3 yet. The prediction is Sox in 2.

It is still a competitive team, and it will become a more competitive team in the years to come. At least, that is the consensus from our prospect eye-in-the-sky Hunter Noll.

Then, the Padres. Almost embarrassing. Plenty of classic Red Sox mistakes. Failure to capitalize on opportunities. Opportunities to WIN. But, is Buehler heading in the right direction? One can only hope.

Also, amazing what the Yankees facial hair policy reversal has done to their relievers. Be real funny if they...reversed it.

This team stares down the barrel of the All-Star break. The fans feel hungry for more as Greg Weissert gets enough time to put his sleepy little head down for a nap. "Buyers!" they shout. "Buyers!"

We are cautious, but we hope this team holds it together long enough to go the distance.

Triston Casas beat out the ball to 1B - but at what cost? The cost of a torn Patellar Tendon. The recovery time for that injury can be anywhere from 6-12 months. So, here are our options.

Abraham Toro has been called up. You know what? Sure. In the interim, you've gotta give it to Romy and Toro. You could also consider Refsnyder and Wong, maybe even Grandal.

Argue about Casas' current production all you want, but this is nothing less than a huge blow to the Red Sox lineup so early in the season. Though, personally, I think we are far from cooked.

Nobody was hurt in the making of this episode. It was prior to this episode that some alleged perpetrator fractured Zach's hand with a 125mph exit velocity off the bat.

During this episode we were watching a game against the Toronto Blue Jays that hopefully ended well (it did not end well). It was the first game Giolito was back on the mound for the Sox and, fortunately, happy surprise! Decent performance, well-located pitches. It was everything near the end and afterwards that, you know... Anyway!

We have a lot of eyes on pitching in this episode. You know what's interesting? The pitching has been consistent but the roles for the pitchers are inconsistent. The lineup has been inconsistent but their roles have been pretty consistent. Really makes you think. #noticing

I bet we're all thinking the same thing - shouldn't this team have like five more wins in it's win column? Hopefully right about now is when the team pulls away from the pack. At least we're not the Orioles.

What do you think is more embarrassing, losing to the White Sox or... No, wait, that's it.

It's a pretty annoying time to be a fan of the Boston Red Sox. We are just asking them to play enough baseball to beat bad teams. Wins against losing teams still count as wins.

We feel good about relying on our bullpen - at least most of the time. The jury, as of 4/20/25, is still out on Justin Wilson.The jury, additionally, is still out on Zack Kelly.

Though it's important to mention talking about the things that are going right. The baserunning? Pretty good. The rest of the bullpen? Pretty good. Trevor Story? Pretty good.

If the season doesn't start going right in a big way we can all melt down together.

Crazy to think we blew it that fast, huh?

We all saw what happened in Texas over the weekend, many akin it to the Alamo. The Boston Red Sox, believe it or not, struck out with runners in scoring position.

As my therapist would say, focus on the positives. Chat could not have cooked Tony Mazz any harder after Kristian Campbell showed up with a whole lot of enthusiasm and plenty of good baseball. Gosh darn it, I would say he even looks ready for the big leagues!

Father Wilyer also returns with a few bonks. We call him Father Wilyer because he just had TWINS. Twin home runs that is! And also twin babies. Both are acceptable miracles.

The pitching looked fine but has time to solidify, and Devers has time to hit. The season may be over, but you know what's not over? The season.

Pumpsie Green was the first black baseball player to play for the Red Sox and the last black baseball player to overcome the color barrier in the MLB. The Red Sox were notably the last baseball team to add a black player to their major league roster.

Featured guest and NESN reporter Jahmai Webster, interviewed Pumpsie Green a few years back. Pumpsie Green hated being a legacy, but he loved being a baseball player.

Jack and Jahmai echo the same sentiment; especially in Boston, the fans care more about winning than the color of a player's skin.

Wow. Started from the bottom now we here, huh? To think the Boston Red Sox knew the whole time. They were saving it as a Christmas surprise - a little Walker Buehler under the Christmas tree. Or the Hanukkah tree. Or the Kwanza tree. Whatever you celebrate.

We think this solidifies the rotation, spelling the doom of a potential Corbin Burnes contract. We continue to beg for a bat - preferably right-handed and good.

We made it. Four days of coverage of the Winter Meetings from the NASP boys and some of their closest friends. To think all it took to invigorate the fans was one, Garrett Crochet level trade.

You'll hear the fart noises in our episode. It was shortly after Cam Booser helped Aaron Judge break the Paw Patrol curse. God, I hate this team. Zack Kelly has been relegated to Guantanamo Bay.
