Christianity is the thinking man's religion and it is a practical everyday tool.

The Pattern Of The Prodigal

The parable of the prodigal son represents God's love and mercy for us, especially when we return back to Him from being far away. In this parable, Pastor David Gonzalez compares a prodigal's motives to a locomotive; slow to start in their rebellion plan, and at full momentum completely fallen away from God or in sin. We learn from this parable that a prodigal will keep their plans and rebellion hidden to themselves, so it's necessary to stay connected with people who will correct your thoughts. We also learn from this parable that God's forgiveness at our repentance is instant. Some one who has fallen away from God and returned to Him has been humbled and knows genuine repentance.

Faith is not merely belief, but belief expressed through consistent action. Pastor David Gonzalez emphasizes that faith is essential to pleasing God and must be demonstrated through daily choices, words, prayer, and perseverance. True faith is not passive or purely intellectual; it requires action. Faith and perseverance: Life brings hardship, injustice, and unexpected suffering, even for faithful believers. Faith means continuing to act, pray, and believe despite discouragement, setbacks, or delayed results. Many people merely react to circumstances instead of acting in faith. Faith involves taking responsibility, believing God is a rewarder, and intentionally shaping one’s future through obedience, prayer, and spoken confession. Repeated faith confessions, rooted in Scripture, help shape belief, expectation, and behavior. Writing goals and confessions down and declaring them daily trains the mind to expect God’s promises to manifest. We are called to “push back the darkness” through persistent prayer, spiritual authority, and refusing to give up.

Although the world will try to condition us to walk in fear and spew negativity, we must activate our faith and operate with joy and thankfulness. Even in trial and tribulation, there are a multitude of things to be thankful for. Paul and Silas gave us an example of being joyful when they were beaten and sent to prison. In fact, when we turn our joy and thankfulness into praise, we are actively pushing back darkness and driving it out of our homes and out of our spirit.

With great anointing comes great responsibility, Samson was given a great anointing by God to be a judge of Israel. But because of his lack of self-control, this strong man lost his anointing, was compromised and then captured by the Gentile nation of the Philistines. In Samson, we can see a reflection of ourselves; broken and incomplete. Like Samson, when we're out of the will of God, we can become compromised in areas where we have no self-mastery. It is the compassion of God when we are given an intervention, had someone intervened on Samson's behalf, we may not read about him today, so we must beware if we will not receive correction.

Samson's life is not just a story to be taught in Sunday School, we can compare the rise and fall of Samson to ourselves individually and to our society. Samson's anointing was not just physical strength, but was also anointed to be a righteous judge of Israel. Like Samson, we all have a calling on our lives, but our anointing an be lost by self-indulgence, which Delilah and the Philistines took advantage of. Likewise, an anointing on a nation can be removed when society rejects Christian values. Samson is an example of how self-will can lead to destruction, and why as a society we cannot afford to fall into depravity.

Tis The Season To Be Merry - Episode 14

Holidays and festivals bring to remembrance God's deliverance. Christmas-time is a for rest, a festive time memorializing the birth of our Messiah, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we should be merry in this season because our Savior was born to us, we should be joyful that we have been redeemed, we should be spreading hope because we are not destined for wrath. There is a wealth of reasons to be jubilant about Christmas. Even if we don't "feel" the joy or merriment of this time, let our actions and words reflect otherwise. "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

Our Prophetic Times - Episode 13

Biblical prophecy is encouraging and comforting, it tells us where we are and where we are headed. We know that judgement is coming and it will terrify those who live through it, but we who are made clean by the blood of the Lamb, have nothing to fear. Until then, what we are witnessing right now is just like to what was happening in the days of Noah; the earth filled with violence (Matt 24:37 & Gen 6:13). The violence we are witnessing is merely the tip of the iceberg; during the tribulation it will be greater. In the meantime, let us "bear fruit in keeping with repentance" (Matt 3:8) and "comfort one another" (1 Thessalonians 4:18) with what we are told.

Never Lose Hope - Episode 12

The bible brings reason and hope. The hope of the Word of God is not like the world's hope; biblical hope is eternal and looks forward to the future, while the hope of this world is carnal and fears the future. Even when it seems dark or nothing is happening, we know can trust in God and that He has not forgotten about us. God says in Isaiah 1, "Let us reason together," and that's Him telling us that our sins is washed away and that Jesus paid the price to redeem us, it isn't God's will for us to bear our iniquities. When we know our sins are forgiven, we can come boldly before the throne in prayer, hopeful that we are worthy and will be heard. And our prayers not only benefit ourselves, but society and those around us. All we have to do is humble ourselves before God on a consistent basis so pride cannot dissolve the grace God gives us. “'Come now, and let us reason together,' Says YAHWEH, 'Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool." Isaiah 1:18

In Genesis 12 God places a tremendous blessing upon Abraham and his seed, and prophetically promises to bless all the families in the earth through Abraham. When we read Paul's letter to the Galatians, we are told that the blessing of Abraham is also for those who are of faith, in other words, those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior. So, centuries prior, God had a plan to bless not just Abraham's biological seed, but Christian gentiles as well. This tells us that God wants His people to prosper and that prosperity is both an Old Testament and New Testament reward!

"Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 1:2

Strangers & Aliens - Episode 10

No Fear & A Good Sound Mind - Episode 8

Pastor David Gonzalez reminds us that our identity is in the one Who made us in His image. Compared to an apple tree that has produced bad fruit, it is still a apple tree, it is still capable of producing good fruit again. As Christians, there are two major ways to restore our walk with God and the fruit we produce; 1: reading the Word of God to be transformed in our minds, and 2: fasting to renew the calling in our lives.
