There's So Much We Don't Know About: Denim, Gymnastics, and Dying on Hills

Jennifer Sey is a two-time author and Emmy award winning producer of Athlete A, a documentary about the abuse and scandal at USA Gymnastics. Sey worked at Levi's for 23 years until she was asked to resign based on her tweets and thoughts on kids and school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sey talks about her time in gymnastics and the unhealthy environment and culture it was. She discusses her time at Levi's where she climbed the ladder to Chief Marketing Officer and then eventually Brand President. Sey discusses why it was so important for her to speak out about the harms of school closures during the pandemic and why she turned down money and signing an NDA to go away quietly. We also discuss what Sey knows best... denim! Especially what works, what doesn't and everything in between.

Jennifer Sey @JenniferSey

Nick Foy @TheNickFoy

Meghan Maureen @Keggs719

Nick and Meghan launch their brand new podcast and discuss how they met and the origins behind starting this particular podcast. In wanting to learn if recycling is all it's cracked up to be, they interview a longtime New York City sanitation worker named Oscar. In talking to Oscar, they find out what percentage of items we recycle actually get recycled, the items that are most and least used, why some cities recycle more than others, and if the benefit of recycling outweighs the cost associated with it.

Twitter:

Nick Foy @TheNickFoy

Meghan Maureen @Keggs719
